This is a fun book of short poems featuring wild animals in Alaska and accompanied by gorgeous color photographs. Children will enjoy how the poems aptly describe the image, some in very silly ways.

We have owned this book for years but only today did I read it. I like it so much, I'm writing my review on Goodreads right this instant! I'm a life long Alaskan who "has to live in Texas" and this children's book does a great job of catching and conveying the mysterious and magical beauty of Alaskan wildlife to children. The wildlife photography includes some animals with offspring, which children always love but the best part, by far, is the poetry. It is ingenious! There is humor to keep the adults interested and enough new vocabulary to stretch the minds of the children. I'll keep coming back to this one--looking forward to reading it to my grandchildren!
