Charlotte Bloom is a city girl.

She likes stilettos, sidewalks, and the Starbucks on every corner. It doesn't matter that her heels hurt or the sidewalks cracked or no one at the coffee store remembers her name. The horns of taxi drivers serenade her as she walks to work and fast-paced action fills her days which is why she needs her boss to come home from the farm. There are contracts to be signed. Money to be made. Hands to be greased and—oh my gosh, is that a cow?

Colton Blackwood is a countryman.

He wants slow walks, slow kisses, and slow love-making, but more than anything he wants that with Charlotte. It doesn't matter that she's scared of the farm animals or that she's suspicious that the store clerk knows her name. He knows that love's the same whether you're wearing a suit in the boardroom or a pair of cowboy boots on the ranch. The trick is convincing Charlotte but, it'll happen because Colton won't accept anything but her by his side.

I was really looking forward to Charlotte and Colton’s story. I am not a fan of a standoffish heroine but I feel Ella did a great job making us see that the tough exterior was just that, a shell. She showed us the softer side with her thoughts and thankfully didn’t make her push Colton away the whole book.

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama
-pushing away by heroine but not too long
-no violence
-safe - neither with others after meeting
-ok epilogue 5 years out. It brought my rating down because I needed more info about their HEA

Colton and Charlotte crossed paths via phone in Bring Him Home when his best friend, Delilah, met and fell for Charlotte's boss, Drake. Colton was behind his friend chasing her dream but as his mother and hers were close, he agreed to call and check on her...that led him to his soulmate.

He knew the second he heard her voice that she was meant to be his, but he's a country boy at heart and she thrives in the city. When Drake follows Delilah home, eager to leave behind the life he had before her, Colton is prepared to do whatever he has to in order to get her to his home.

Charlotte knows her boss has found love and she's happy for him and Delilah, but it's hard to do her job, if she even has one for much longer, when he won't return her calls. She's so good at what she does that she even boards a plane, intent on getting Drake to sign what he needs to and avoid Colton and his sexy voice as much as possible.

However, Colton doesn't hesitate to play dirty and not only picks her up at the airport, but also takes her to his place and plans on keeping her and Drake apart as long as possible. He knows his time is limited, but with Drake playing along, his chances are good. Plus, as much as Charlotte claims to love the city, she seems to have found her home with him.

Can Colton prove to Charlotte they belong together? Will Charlotte realize how different he is from the men her mom always chased looking for love? Can she find love and peace in the country?

One-click now and follow along as two people find their forever.

This one was even more insta everything than Bring Him Home.

I know that there's a bunch of people who really like this kinda of book... I guess it's just not my trope.

This one was even faster than 24 hours for all the action between the "hi" and the "always and forever".

Colton basically kidnaps Charlotte to be his and that's it. Obviously there's all the hints about Charlotte falling for this caveman style, but honestly I don't see the connection between them...

Never mind... I don't even want to review this. Sorry.

"Finding Home" is the story of Charlotte and Colton.

In this book, the city girl falls for the big bear of a rancher who also shadows as a sheriff. He takes a chance and decides to keep her with him, playing on their mutual attraction to make her surrender to his love.

Good one time read with a cute epilogue and an adorable dog.

Too quick

This book was a quick read - so much so, that it seems too short of a book. The characters were underdeveloped and one dimensional.

ME ENCANTÓ!!!

Clearcut-Large-Fishingcat-size-restricted

There is something about cowboys. Cowboys that are alpha AF and make your legs tremble with just words. Ella Goode- your heros are my heros .

Just to add at the end- we finally got a heroine with a sassy mouth that is not afraid to call the police when she's 'kidnapped' by a sexy cowboy. Charlotte was great and we need more heroines like her!

Every may have thought Colton and Delilah were going to end up together. But Colton knew better. He's never felt anything but a sisterly love for her. While trying to check-up on her to make sure she is okay he finds the love of his life on the other end of the phone.
He knew from the minute he heard Charlotte's voice that she was the woman for him. But first he's got to get her to him and prove to her that she doesn't need the city life to be happy.

Charlotte is a city girl through and through. But her boss Weston is making it impossible to get any of her job done when he's been ignoring her and the work she's just trying to get done. Growing up with a mom who was more concerned with having a man by her side than her own child, Charlotte vowed to never give a man that kind of power over her.
However, Colton isn't like any of the men she's met in the city. He's all alpha male and determined to prove to her that she is meant to be with him.

Honestly, I didn't really care to much for this one, compared to Delilah and Drake's book. I didn't like Charlotte as much as I wanted to.

We finally get char and Colts story and it was pretty quick okayish book. If you don't enjoy OTT past it

Charlotte is a city girl through and through but she is annoyed at her boss Drake (book 1) who enjoys being with his wife (she has no problem with that but he is ignoring his company) in the country when she has to visit him to get papers sign she thought it be easy in and out.. little does she know she has a giant pain in the ass cowboy/sheriff (H) who wants to keep her and worship her body.. he even sorta blackmails Drake to get her to the country side and ignore her calls and text. i did enjoy Colton's OTT he knew what he wanted even when he was working he had gambit the dog watch his girl.. i also love the fact when all the tiny misunderstanding and secrets came out he was willing to move to the city to be with her.. 😭😭😭

No om/ow drama, sexy times, Secondary chara, virgin gal celibate guy

I received an Advance Reader Copy of the book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I think I may have liked this more than Bring Him Home - I'm not sure if it was the premise or the characters though. I enjoyed Charlotte as a character and that she had a bit more depth despite this being a quick read. I also enjoyed Colton and his determinedness to have her. AND there's a sweet little puppy! Finding Home was a sweet and sexy way to wrap up this duet and I look forward to reading more from Ella Goode - I can add her to my list of palette cleansing authors that I go to in between heavier or longer reads or when I'm in a slump or suffering from a book hangover! 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

I’m a big fan of instalove, especially where it’s a fun escape into romance without artificial angst or done-to-death tropes. This book provides readers with an OTT hero who is willing to do anything to get, and keep, the woman of his dreams. As is often the case with the best OTT authors, the over the top-edness of the hero doesn’t ever tip over into becoming overbearing-edness. That’s important to me because I can’t stand men who railroad over women. I loved this book, it was so much fun!

I received an ARC of this book, and my opinions in the review are solely my own.

I have been dying for Finding Home by Ella Goode since I finished Bring Him Home. Just that small amount of Charlotte in BHH was enough to have me clamoring for her story asap and here it finally is and wow, it is amazing. Colton is that OTT alpha who is gonna bring her happiness, passion, pleasure and love because she is "IT" for him but first he has to convince her of that first. Their love story is full of feels, action, drama , passion and romance. Loved the emotions, feels and insta-love that wove it's way thru the story. Another great read by Ms. Goode!!

Finding Home by Ella Goode is a quick and steamy read with a bit of insta-love and over the top antics and I devoured it. Colton Blackwood knows he wants Charlotte Bloom and will do whatever it takes to have her. Colton is sexy and charming country man. Charlotte is a city-girl and loves it. But they definitely share an instant attraction and strong chemistry. A quick and charming read!

Happy reading!

Review Copy from the Author

Finding Home by Ella Goode is the sequel for Bring Him Home (review here https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... ) with different characters: Charlotte, Drake Weston’ assistant, and Colton, Delilah Howell’s best friend. Both novels can be read alone and the author preferred not giving it a series title.

At the end of Bring Him Home we know Colton definitively fall under Charlotte’s charm just on the phone. So without having met her he wants her for himself. It’s a story we believe straightaway and we know the heroine’s looks would have any consequence on Colton’s already present feelings. But of course, as we’re in a romance, she’s bound to be beautiful. LOL

The novel begins with an annoyed heroine who has to go to the little town where her boss has emigrated for him to sign documents and to check if everything is alright with him. Charlotte is a hard-worker and a city girl to the tips of her shoes. She meets Colton for the first time at the airport. Charlotte talked to him several times on the phone and she thinks he’s in love with Delilah. So even if she’s a bit attracted to him, at first she’s going to resist him. Our hero is a bit naive because he doesn’t understand what’s blocking our heroine even when she tries and gets things straight. However, he’s determined to have her and is ready to anything to conquer her.
There are some little surprises in the book and funny scenes and comebacks. The love scenes aren’t very described and aren’t very numerous because the heroine has first to overcome her shyness toward the hero and most of all remove doubts about Colton’s feelings.

Finding Home is a beautiful story with likeable characters. We don’t doubt for a moment that our couple is meant one for the other. However there’s no mention of a character evoked in the first part, a girl who’d like to catch Colton, and I missed that to entirely close the story.
But that didn’t prevent me to read it fast as the style is flowing and dynamic and the story’s interesting. I also really liked the epilogue which is a very beautiful ending to these two short novels.

Charlotte Bloom is citified. Colton Blackwood is a cowboy. The H is sweetly manipulative having set his sights on Charlotte (h) and determined on keeping her with him.

Colton persuades Drake, Charlotte’s boss to ignore all efforts at communication to lure her out to him. He is totally smitten, possessive, overbearing and protective.

Excerpt:::
I hit dial on the phone.
You again. again? The woman from before answers the phone.
Hey, Tammy, Colton drawls as he tries to toe off his work boot. It doesn't work. He reaches down to try and pull them off with his bloody hand.
I point at the bench next to the front door.

She’s a handful, comes from my phone.
How about you be of some help, Tammy, and get someone out here?
Not sure if I want someone to come have a look at Colton’s hand so they can talk some sense into him or for someone to help me escape.
He sounds fine to me, Tammy says back, not seeming to have a care in the world.

You listen here, I start.
Oh, lordy. Fine. I’ll patch you through to the sheriff. You’re out of city limits.

With that, the line goes quiet for a moment. I stare at the phone, wondering if she hung up or if she is really patching me through to someone.
It starts to ring. My eyes fly from my phone to Colton’s as he leans forward a little, pulling out his cell phone from his back pocket.
Sheriff Blackwood, he answers. My eyes go from his phone to him. He reaches into his pocket again, and this time he pulls out a badge, dropping it down on the bench next to him. How can I be of service? I’ve sworn to protect and serve, sugar. He gives me a wink.
I stare at him, shocked. Then I do the only rational thing I can. I burst into laughter.

Cute novella.

Colton knew the minute he heard Charlotte's Bloom voice on the phone that she was it for him. Her sass and attitude made him hard as hell. He has to wonder what it'll happen when he finally puts a face to that voice!

Now he just needs to figure out how to get this city girl to the farm and keep her there.

Charlotte is a tad cynical, she doesn't believe in love at first sight, or happily ever after. At least not for her anyway. Watching her mother chase that dream has pretty much soured her on the idea.

But when Colton finally gets this city girl on his home soil there is no way this cowboy is letting her out of his sight.

It's a love at first heard on the phone and then sealed when he gets a glimpse of Charlotte in her heels at the airport. Now he just needs to convince her that he can be the man she secretly yearns for. And I have to say this man has all the moves and the words.

Steamy read and I have to say this author is an automatic one click for me when I'm looking for a fast and sexy read. There's no drama, no cheating just two people with chemistry off the charts hot.

A little jewel of a story filled with cuteness.

The author has a very sweet style of telling about her characters' inner thoughts.

A man obsessed with a woman, a cute little dog, beautiful sunsets at the porch of a cozy farm, and love at first voice over the phone. I adored the general feeling of optimism and rightful romance between Colton and Charlotte. He's lured the woman from the city to show her a real life with him, with tenderness, a home and all the big Os she wants. And she finds a good man who takes care of all her needs, both of the heart and the flesh.

Hot! Really cute too, with some room for a strong heroine with a stubborn streak that melts in the face of an honourable, sexy man. I loved their teasing, his smirks and a little secret that pops up in a funny conversation. The animals are so nice too, even the town has potential for more stories :-)

This book is a hot mess. You start by getting an onslaught of names and backstory that do not matter at all to the plot, but you never find out more useful details like where the heroine is from, where she's traveling to, and how the heck she knows the hero. Although, to be fair, I think the author ATTEMPTS to tell you how the heroine and hero know each other. The book is just so poorly written, it's impossible for a reader to figure it out.

You finally figure out which of the 15 men the author references in the first chapter is the hero when he inexplicably shows up to the pick up the heroine from the airport, kidnaps her, and takes her back to his house to bone her until she agrees to leave the unnamed city she loves and live with him forever in the country. It's Stockholm Syndrome masquerading as a love story, and it's complete bullshit.

DNF.
