Jewel is my absolute favorite horse in all of north of north. She's so sweet and brave and she has a great adventure.

This was my favourite book when I was a kid! I read it 3 times or maybe 4. I don’t remember the story that well but I can still have visions about how I imagined the caves and the environment in this book🤍 I don’t know if I would like this book at this age but maybe I should give it a try one more time!

My seven year old loved it and wanted me to read it. It was way less formulaic than I was expecting. A fun story.

I read this series as a kid and I'm just now reviewing this:

This particular book got a bit tiring in the scenery area. There are usually a lot more interesting areas of the world in each book but in this one the setting is pretty set. Nonetheless, it was a great book. I loved all of the magical elements, I thought Jewel was one of the prettiest horses, and I loved Gertrude and the doll world.

Just keeping up with what my 8 year old daughter is reading.

This is a sweet story about a girl, her doll, and a magical horse. They are searching for the girl's mother and a treasure vault. I thought the plot was exciting for a young girl without being too scary. I also like how the girl is encouraged not to be spoiled or too self centered, though the book isn't too heavy handed in this regard. The main character has a few bratty moments but is encouraged to grow past them, hopefully to lasting effect. What little girl wouldn't love this book?

This book is a let down to the Bella Sara series. I hope the other books are better than this. I love the front cover though
