Tucker by Emily March was a sweet romance based in Ms. March's The McBrides of Texas series. I haven't read the previous books in the series but this one does stand alone without any problems.

Tucker McBride was absolutely one of the best male leads that I've read in a long time. He was patient, kind, loving, honest and strong in his beliefs about himself and life. Gillian was a mess from the beginning. I confess that she got on my nerves several times throughout the story. With a strong plot

Oh my. I have been a fan of the worlds created by Emily March since her first book. Tucker may be one of my all-time favorites. This is a romance about people who are real a d completely believable. Tucker and Gillian are adults who figure out a way to chart their course as best they can. As always, the supporting cast of characters is terrific.

I was lucky enough to receive an advance reader copy of this book. Happily, that had no impact on how I feel about the book.

Tucker is the second book in the Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas series and it can be read as a standalone but I will tell you that Tucker’s story starts in book one, Jackson. This book is the full story of what took place between Gillian and Tucker that was only hinted at previously. The start of this story begins with a chance encounter (read hilarious) between Gillian and Tucker and, though there was an attraction, it was not meant to be. Fast forward and through some very painful and ...more

Fantastic Read! Emily got her groove going with this gem, I absolutely loved Tucker and Gillian and their story. Great to revisit the town of Redemption and its cast of characters, which are a story unto themselves.
Tucker is a recently discharged Vet who is trying to make his way and figure out what he's doing and where he's going. Which is how he ends up in Redemption stopping to visit his cousin Jackson. He decides to stay a while. Gillian owns the Bridal shop in town with her mother. She's

“Tucker”, by Emily March (St. Martin’s Paperbacks), is a story set in a small town, about a former Army Ranger trying to find his compass and forge a new identity after leaving the army and an engaged woman who has doubts about her fiancé and herself.
I liked both characters and watching Tucker gradually adapting to his new life in Redemption, Texas, building his business and wooing Gillian. Her doubts and

This is the second book in The McBrides of Texas series but can be read as a stand alone. I haven't read book one. Gillian Thacker runs a bridal shop in Redemption Texas, a charming little town. Tucker McBride is a U.S. Army Ranger looking to start phase two of his life after the Army. When Tucker opens a wilderness skills training school right next to Gillian's bridal shop, they can't stop the chemistry between them. A heart felt romance. I'm looking forward to more in this series. Seriously ...more

This was another new author for me, and the book was easy nothing ground breaking. We meet ex Army Ranger Tucker McBride, now ladies I would grab him. So he is trying to get his feet wet back into society, and is in an unfulfilling desk job. We also meet Gillian who owns a bridal salon with her mom and she is going to be a bride, but her fiance is undeserving of her Jeremy, Tucker knows this but he will not do anything while she is engaged to another man regardless if she not happy. However, ...more

I fell in love with Tucker McBride on page one, and he didn’t disappoint!
Gillian Thacker is all about being a bride , even if it’s to the wrong Groom. She even runs a highly successful Bridal salon along with her mom and has plans to make a wedding mall.
Plans that go awry when her fiancé sells her building to Tucker,
Tucker wants Gillian,
Gillians fiancé doesn’t deserve her , can Tucker be the man , she doesn’t realize she needs !
Another great Emily March read !

Tucker McBride is an Army Ranger no more, and he was feeling a bit lost. He makes his way to Redemption, Texas, where he is part owner of Enchanted Canyon. On the way there he encounters Gillian, who was walking away from a fight with her fiancée, in the middle of nowhere in a red dress and heels.

Gillian is happily helping prospective brides find that perfect dress, while planning her own wedding, with a lot less enthusiasm than one would expect. Gillian found herself attracted to Tucker a lot,

I like this author she has a way of sucking you into a story and always has fun a quirky characters. I am so glad the Blessing cousins are back in this story you never know what will come out of their mouths and what they are going to be up to next. I really liked Tucker he was a Cowboy through and through, He was a perfect hero for this story nothing anyone could say or do could change who he is as a person. So here's the thing - while I liked this book I wasn't blown away. Overall it was enjoyable read but Gillian kept pushing my buttons. I could understand why she had her walls up high but seeing Tucker how he was determined to show her how good they could be, she (in my opinion) could have been more open to the possibility of a new love.

I really liked Tucker and his personality. I loved his planing skills and the way he used them to show his interest and love for Gillian. When she finally came

Entertaining, light, easy read following ex Army Ranger Tucker McBride as he’s trying to find his way in society following his discharge from the Army and an unfulfilling desk job in D.C. Gillian Thacker is part owner (with her mother), of a bridal salon and is engaged not too happily to Jeremy. The chemistry between Tucker and Gillian is unmistakable, neither are willing to act on it though, not when she’s still with Jeremy, but when circumstances change, all bets are off. I loved Tucker, he ...more

To say that Tucker is some serious swoon-worthy book boyfriend material would be a serious understatement. I enjoyed the heck out of this story and the extended McBride family. Yo definitely don't need to have read any other McBride books to appreciate this one - but I am guessing it would make your feelings about this book that much deeper.

My only drawback to this story was Gillian. I liked Gillian a lot - and had some serious empathy for what she went through. I also understand her girly

This is the second book in the McBrides of Texas series and while you may recognize some characters from the Eternity Springs series it actually not set in Eternity Springs. It can be read as a stand alone novel, however, I recommend reading the Eternity Springs novels just because they are very enjoyable. Tucker McBride has left the military and he is at a loss as to what to do next with his life. While he was in the military he never considered having a family. But now that he has spent time ...more

This story is packed with romance, passion, humor, drama, entertaining characters, family, friends, and more. I can not wait to see what happens next with this wonderful cast of characters. An ARC from the publisher.

I love going back to these cousins. The way the thoughts and the narration it makes me laugh on how this was made.

I love how the story of these two began to unravel. The hurdles that Gillian had to go through and how Trucker overcomes them, makes each page interesting.

Can't wait for Boone's book!

Getting to know Gillian whom is all about the wedding and Tucker was a lot fun. As in real life things didn’t work out the way it was planned. A very good thing of course. Gillian irritated me in this book as she seriously had trust issues but Tucker finally got her to listen. A great book.

I received Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas: Tucker as part of a Goodreads giveaway.

After abruptly quitting military life, Tucker McBride returns to the Texas hill country, uncertain of where he belongs. Fate quite literally puts Gillian Thacker--stranded on the side of the road--on his first day back in town. Tucker lends Gillian his assistance and soon sets up shop providing survival training to locals. Meanwhile, Gillian, co-owner of the small-town bridal salon, is juggling a rocky

Before I started this book, I had to read Jackson's story. I wanted the background before I met Tucker. Tucker and Gillian's story is cute but it feels rushed to me. I did not like Gillian too much, at times I felt she just was self involved, wanting to string this guy along while she could not make up her mind. Tucker's feelings went from 0 to 100 in a blink of an eye. The story moves through months of time but it doesn't relay the progression of the emotions adequately. I could not find ...more

If there’s any book world I would give up everything I own in to order to live there, March's Eternity Springs is that world. Truly, I didn’t think there could be anything better than Eternity Springs, but this spin-off series in the tiny Texas town of Redemption, just a short distance from the Enchanted Canyon, certainly holds its own. While reading Tucker, I found myself having similar problems with the ones I had while I was reading Jackson. What were they?

The time jumps. The book begins in the Fall and ends in Summer(-ish?). For a story that takes place in a big span of time (considering that most romances take place in 2-3 months), I felt like the story and the characters had little development. Gillian is supposed to develop as a character, find her path once again and yet I felt like she didn't get that. She is only a
