Love this book! Short and succinct gift book perfect for teens or adults, including inspiring quotes and pictures from RBG. This would make a great stocking stuffer!
In this peculiar self-help book based on Ruth Bader Ginsburg as a brand, Marilyn Easton frames aspects of Ginsburg’s life and experience as a motivational tool for the reader. It’s a very US-centric book and I found it both patronising and shallow without ever doing Ginsburg or her career justice but if you’re absolutely desperate for a self-help gift for the feminist or lawyer in your life, then it may be worth a shot.
This was just a tiny biography about an amazing woman. It includes quotes, some inspirational bits, and was just a quick little read. I'll be keeping this in my desk mostly because it will make me happy.
I also learned a new RBG quote. When asked what she wanted to be remembered for, she responded, "Someone who used whatever taken she had to do her work to the very best of her ability." And I feel that in my bones.
Quick read with good quotes. I wish I had learned more positive things about RGB growing up. Many of the people around me dismissed her as a liberal who was trying to up end the world. Well, maybe she did, in a good way. Reading this book makes me think she was pretty down to earth and would have been a great person to be friends with or be mentored by.
A really nice short and sweet books. This is hard to rate because it's really just a book of quotes with some paragraphs of commentary. My rating will inevitably be influenced by my admiration for rbg herself. Some really nice quotes and graphics. A quick and easy read
An excellent collection of RBG quotes. Super quick read (like, you could read it before you get through the check-out line at your library). My only wish is that it were a little longer, but it serves its purpose very well.
