She idolized the life her absentee father led as she lived a life of quiet comfort and safety. I also really enjoyed this book and I read it after The Scorpion's Lullaby. It really make that much difference in which order you read the books as this has no spoilers in it but in a way it does lead into the above mentioned book. This had lots of adventure it is as well. Juliet certainly gifted us with two fabulous books this time around and I can't wait for the second book to come out. ...more
