Book 16 in the Cruise Ship Mysteries was another fun and engaging cozy mystery that kept me turning the pages. The characters are well drawn now and this mystery kept all of the characters on their toes trying to determine "who done it".

Transatlantic Tragedy is the sixteenth book in Hope Callaghan’s Cruise Ship Christian Cozy Mysteries Series. The plot is well thought out, and the affable characters are well developed. The book flows at a smooth, steady pace, with an interesting and complex mystery and plenty of twists and turns, and red herrings to keep the reader engaged. I highly recommend this clean, well-crafted cozy mystery series as well as all Ms. Callaghan’s other books.

Millie Sanders Armati is the assistant cruise director of Siren of the Seas, and she's having mixed feelings about the ship’s the repositioning from the Caribbean to the British Isles. She’s dreading being so far away from her family and traveling for thirteen days per cruise, but at the same time she's looking forward to visiting new cruise ports, and having her husband, Nic, who’s the ship’s captain, show her some of his old stomping grounds. Andy Walker, Millie’s boss, goes high tech with watches for Millie, Danielle, and Isla that he can program with the day’s schedule, change their schedules at a moment’s notice, and send alerts to them. When magician, Blackjack Blaze’s assistant, Wendy Rainwell, goes overboard on the first night of the cruise, Dave Patterson, the head of security, isn’t sure if the death is an accident, a murder, or a suicide. One of the galley crewmembers, Amit Uddin, is on Dave’s radar as a person of interest/prime suspect. Even though Millie schedule is more than full, she's determined to find out what happened to Wendy and clear her friend’s name.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Come aboard the Siren of the Seas for an adventure you won’t soon forget!

Hope Callaghan is a gifted author who has the ability to grab your attention and take you along on the adventure. This series has been a favorite of mine since it first came out. I have never been on a cruise, yet Ms. Callaghan’s descriptions make me feel like I am there and has given me some knowledge of the excitement of being on the ship.

Millie and her friends work on the Siren of the Seas, as part of the Majestic Cruise Lines. This cruise is a different as it is sailing across the ocean to new ports of call. As soon as the ship is out to sea, one of the newest members of the entertainment staff goes overboard. Was this murder or an accident? When one of their own is charged with the crime, Millie and her friends step up to solve the mystery to clear his name. The characters in this series are those you would like to have as your friends. I fell in love with them from the first book and it hasn’t changed. The plot is well developed and thought out, with many twists and turns as well as enough suspects to keep you guessing. The adventure continues throughout the cruise until the suspect is found! A Christian touch to the story, makes it a clean and enjoyable cozy.

Hope Callaghan has the ability to offer a quick get away for each reader: Millie is at it again with her band of murder solvers. The Siren of the Seas is headed for the British Isles for their newest itineraries with a full complement of crew, and passengers. A couple of stops along the way will add to the excitement of arriving in Great Britain! Millie's handsome husband Nic is the Captain of the ship and love of her life. Who would think going overboard would mean yet another mystery must be solved? Millie is quick to reason each clue, and form her own opinion, but ever ready for help from her friends. See if you can come to the same conclusion. A vacation on the Siren of the Seas offers you a Transatlantic Tragedy and a moment to leave your worries behind. A fun easy read, but you might be late to bed!

Don't Leave A Girl Hanging!

It seems like forever since our last installment of adventure with Millie and the crew. I loved that this story included more of the relationship between Millie and Nic. You can feel the love they share. 💘

The mystery in this adventure made me a bit sad as our victim was pregnant and, while the focus was on her death, we are reminded that an innocent life of the unborn child was lost as well. That put a damper on the read for me. However, the sleuthing was good and the recipes had my mouth watering each time we entered the galley!

Great book by Hope Callaghan! All of her series are fantastic, difficult to put down and we'll worth the investment of your time!

Millie and the ship are on their first trans Atlantic and our heroine who can be incredibly fearless when trying to catch a killer is surprising nervous about crossing the ocean to another continent.
To me it seems out of character that she will risk life and job to catch a bad guy, but is afraid to zip line, ride a dune buggy, or tour on Segway. She whines and frets whenever husband Nic signs them up for these activites.

A magician and his assistant join the ship at the last minute, but the assistant is murdered and they learn that she was pregnant and an unknown crew member fathered the child.

Take a 13 day summer transatlantic cruise with senior sleuth, activity coordinator, and captain’s wife Millie Sanders Armati. Hope Callaghan’s writing flows with its short paragraphs, interesting dialog, unexpected twists in the plot; making the mystery easy to read and the book hard to put down. The characters are diverse: ordinary senior sleuth Millie, ship captains Vitale and Armati, cruise director Andy Walker, plus familiar characters and some new staff. Once again the Red Herrings and the foreshadowing caught me off guard, so I did not see the ending coming. Recipe included.

My favorite Cozy Mystery Series!

This is by far my favorite Cozy Mystery Series and #16 doesn't disappoint. I love all the characters, especially the four women, Nic, and of course the Yorkie. Even though I've previously read every book in this series, I would have preferred a brief explanation of what occurred on an earlier cruise with "the Silver Fox". I can't wait for the next book in this series. If you like Cruise Ship Mysteries and/or Cozy Mysteries you should read this series. Great job, Hope!!

Excitement on the high seas

This book starts off with the boarding of a new entertainer and his assistant, who we learn is pregnant by one of the kitchen workers on board the ship. There is a lot of investigating after the pregnant assistant is killed by being pushed off the side of the ship. Millie is once again in the middle of the investigation as she and her friends go sleuthing to find the man who got the assistant pregnant, as well as the person who killed the assistant. In the end, all is revealed and the murderer is arrested.

Stumped again

I didn't see this ending coming! 😁 A new entertainment crewmember goes overboard. Is it an accident or murder? Amir is a prime suspect and Patterson seems to be missing several clues. That leaves it up to Molly and friends to find the truth and the real perp. In their usual underhanded way, the ladies solve the mystery as the Siren of the Seas sails across The Pond.

Millie Armati Assistant Cruise Director on the Siren of the Seas cruise ship that is headed for Southhampton England on a transatlantic trip for the first time. After the cruise started a woman fell overboard into the ocean, when recovered she was dead. The Cruise Director hired a magician and the woman was his assistant. Millie of course gets involved along with her friends helping her to solve what happened. Did she jump or was she murdered?

I have basically read this entire series (17 books so far, I think)...they are fun and fluffy and clean. I love the Christian aspect, I love the CRUISING aspect, and the characters are pretty likable...
(though admittedly, I sometimes roll my eyes at Millie getting involved once more in something or someplace she has no business being---but since that is the premise of the entire series...there you have it!) Enjoyable "summer" read, all year round.

These books have a way of becoming addictive. I have enjoyed reading this series of books. I look forward to reading next book in the series. The books seem to get better and better. There is humor, drama , and plenty of suspense. All of the books are well worth the time it takes to read them. This author is an excellent writer and you will enjoy reading these books.

A great murder mystery cruise

This series is one of my favorite series that Hope Callaghan has written. The storyline itself is terrific working on a cruise ship after a nasty divorce. This series could continue a long as long as Ms. Callaghan wants it too and I personally can't get enough. Another great book!

A young woman tragic fall, all Millie's instinct for murder and trouble into play

Great easy readable mystery, set as the ship sails toward the UK for a new assignment. A great summer read, as Hope Callaghan takes you along on another on life aboard a cruise ship as an employee! Not a guest.

Mercy!!!

When a body goes overboard on the transatlantic voyage, Millie Armati feels she HAS to find out why. She is the assistant cruise director, but at night she goes home with her husband, Captain Nic Armati . Millie and her friends manage to be in the middle of every aspect of investigating the incident, usually winding up in hot water.

Christian Cozy set in a Cruise Ship

Millie and the gang investigate a young woman gone overboard.. Is it accident ........ or murder? They are determined to solve it quickly because Amir is a suspect. They come up with two viable suspects, then a third that security hadn't looked at, all while continuing to do their jobs. Intrigue and humor rule the day.

The cruise ship is changing venues, now sailing the Atlantic on its way to Southampton England.

On this voyage, Murder resumes, and so do the on board activities. One new one is a Magician’s Act. There is intrigue aplenty, hardly any romance, but the Captain and Millie do manage some alone time together.

Ports visited here are Bermuda and the Azores.

Enjoyed reading this and all books in this series, Would have rated higher except I did not like the portion where Millie decided to open Blackjacks mail. I believe that was to far and was a criminal offense. I know this is a book to enjoy and not real, but, if you are a cruiser and believe this can be done or is done - well seriously.

Ocean Voyage

Yet another great read by Hope Callaghan featuring her heroine Millie Armati, cruise director on the Siren of the Seas. This one involves a young woman tragically killed by being pushed overboard. As usually the killer is never who you expect. Always a good enjoyable read.

Transatlantic Tragedy

The biggest tragedy I see here is that the book ended! I can never wait to get to the end only to be saddened that the ending came! As with all the books in this series, I was enchanted by the characters and getting to enjoy a cruise virtually. I LOVE Hope Callaghan's books!!

Another Winner

This book is another winner that has readers on edge as to whodunit and what happens next. There's never a dull moment here as readers follow Millie and her friends into one situation after another to uncover what happened. No giveaways here. New readers have to find out for themselves and help solve the mystery.

Cliffhanger book?

As usual it was good Duff plot and if the ending means that it will finish off in the next book then good. If not I'm disappointed but she does write a good book and I enjoy reading them
