Claimed by demons. Branded a traitor by my own coven.

It all started with Ash, Raum, and Sal. Three ridiculously hot men I’d never seen before. But they know exactly who I am, and all three of them lay claim to my body and soul.

Later, I find out I’m a witch. And those three guys? Demons.

But they’re not just demons, they’re mine. My unholy trinity. And they’ve waited lifetimes for me to return.

As I grow into my power and recover my memories, more secrets are revealed than I was ever prepared for. Overnight, I’m caught in a tangled web of magic and conflict.

The only path to peace is to master my magic.

This all started with three rogue demons. But this war? It ends with me.Unholy Trinity is a complete paranormal series. These books contain explicit scenes and are intended for adults. Love the gorgeous new cover for the series!

There were some heart-stopping moments in this series that kept me turning page after page after page - Crystal knew how to keep me hooked! Crystal writes badass FMCs that you just fall in love with. I loved reading how Deja realized her powers and unlocked her past while there were flashbacks and so much action, magical and physical. The extra Halloween novella was the perfect slice of life bonus epilogue, the kind of content I absolutely love to read.

I’ll be picking up Astrid’s novels next, I loved how we got to see her and her men as well as Deja and her men settled into this little pocket of earth that shifters and witches and others call home.

Background is of a blue, green, and purple mash of colors, all blurred so it’s just circular shapes. Review 5/5 stars and 4.5/5 spice. Cover: Unholy Trinity, the complete series by USA Today Bestselling author Crystal Ash.

To me, this series was an average read - a goodly amount of erotica mixed in with an OK underlying story, only a few dozen spelling/grammatical/incorrect word errors, and a fairly satisfying ending.

The main characters were relatable, but for me, they didn't shine. Maybe I missed something, but I didn't truly understand the main antagonist's rationale for her actions. I also didn't feel there was quite enough motivation for one of the heroes and the main heroine to end up the way they did. And, there was at least one loose end in my mind - Ms. Ash introduced us to a coven and its leaders, but I didn't feel she fully explained what their collective fate was. (Maybe the author plans more books in this series and the issue will be resolved then?)

A couple of warnings to readers: Firstly, there were a few very mild S&M scenes - nothing horrible, but something that may be objectionable to some. And, lastly, there's the matter of the way Ms. Ash portrays the denizens of heaven and hell. While I am not religious by any means, and I thoroughly enjoy twists on the concepts of what constitutes good and what constitutes evil, this book is no "Paradise Lost" (which I dearly love re-reading to this day). Readers who have strong, conventional religious beliefs should probably stay far, far away from this series.

In summary, I wouldn't dissuade anyone from reading these novels (with the exceptions noted in the above paragraph), but for me, they just didn't quite cross the line into "Wow."

So I'm always down for a good why choose, because seriously where TF is my harem?

Crystal is good, her writing is solid, it was the storyline I found a bit meh. That and using scientific words for anatomy reference during sex scenes. There are only so many times one of her guys can cup her vulva before I tap out. Yes its a body part, I absolutley get it, but don't bring science into smut; they don't work well together in my opinion.

So we follow Deja, a witch who doesn't know she's a witch, discover she's a witch. Pretty basic set up right? But wait, she runs into 3 hot as fuck demons (because of course she does), and feels an instant connection to each. You have:
1. Ash, blonde haired blue eyed viking type, and the leader. Alphahole kind of and possessive. Also my least fav on the heirarchy.
2. Sal, Auburn haired with green eyes, totally a hothead but also sweet and mischeveous. He is my middle pick.
3. Raum, dark hair and dark eyes. Sarcasm is his love language and I am here for it. My favorite.

They of course begin popping up everywhere, and her grandma is in the mix trying to teach her to get witchy with it. Except grams has her own agenda.

Shit progresses, she meets Seth, a shadow witch and feels attracted to him but denies it. He is an absolute jerk to her but she is to him as well. So we all know where this is going, RIGHT? Right.

Turns out Seth is a good dude, and warns them about attacks. Comes to find them at their new place, get mauled by the other guys and eventually becomes part of the harem. She could have done a lot more with him here, its too one dimensional he is one way then he flips to be a total other way. There was a lot that could have been fleshed out more and would have really bumped this up to a 4 star for me.

What could have been better:
1. More Seth, more of his backstory, maybe some flashbacks. His character had depth but the depth came out of nowhere. One second he's this person and then next he is someone completley different, there was no evolution.
2. Deja doesn't seem to have an inner crisis when she realizes shes a witch and has 3 hot demon mates. I mean listen girl, I get it but don't we question things at some point?
3. I felt like the story was taking its time and then all of a sudden started getting rushed, not sure why.
4. Vulva, again just maybe not the best word. Knowing how she usually writes I strongly believe she has better words in her arsenal.
5. Character depth, please please more of it. The characters are written so well I know that this is something she excels at and we didn't get it in this book.

What was great:
1. As always she has solid writing, very few, if any; grammatical errors.
2. The story is enough to keep you interested, and its cute enough if not predictable.
3. Her characters are always really clear cut as far as their personality. Need more depth, but it was very clear their values and beliefs as the story progressed.
4. Side characters. How do you fall in lvoe with Nona and Astrid? I def want to read Astrid and Nonas story, because I need to know more, esp about Nona.

Overall a solid book in my opinion. A good, cute read. Nothing too deep but also nothing too shallow. Cute, predictable, with great characters despite the lack of depth.

Here again, there again, back again, ...

Deja, please don't add the Vu, is the culmination of 1000yrs of her soul regrouping. Unknowing of her heritage, her previous lives, and her purpose on Earth, she stumbles into a fortune teller's booth on a whim. Hearing that her life is about to be turned upside down isn't exactly eye opening. Moving from Bakersfield to San Francisco already did that. But going from browbeating religion to love is love is nothing compared to the train fate is ready to run her down with. Three loves? Demons? She's a witch, and not just any witch, either. The hits keep coming, and the memories keep flooding in. But this reincarnation comes with a twist.

Spoilers ahead.
I've read the individuals before but was delighted to see them collected together. There is a Prequel available, too, for free. I liked the angle on Deja and her previous lives. It takes a brave author to take a twist on dogmatic beliefs and run with it. And a great author to make it worth reading. Deja, for all her 28yrs, comes off as much younger. In fact, it would almost make more sense for her to be very early 20s, except being a business owner wouldn't be as feasible. Her last incarnation, as a whole being, had her memory destroyed, so I loved that her name meant memory. The guys are distinctive, they never blue together. A feat to accomplish in a RH romance. While it is a romance, it is plot driven- not all about the smexy times. The magical parts are rather glossed over, and I'm still not sure exactly how old 1 of the main characters is. It's never mentioned, but even if they're a similar age as Deja, they also act younger. Which is why I'm confused. There are complete characters roaming the background, not just props, and they have their own tales to tell, too. A trilogy for one has been completed, and the other's is in progress now. I haven't read them yet, because while this story is complete, the world building isn't. Important characters to the foundation of everything get brief mentions, how covens run is a vague thing that's never explained, and 1 of my biggest questions of all is never addressed:
If Deja keeps reincarnating after her death (which was usually young) how does her family handle the transition? Think about it. She has 3 mates, they lose her but never worry because within a year she'll be back in another body. She'll have her memories, her eye color, her magic, but a new form. If she left behind young children, then her mates will be raising them still when she returns, right? How do her kids handle the new her? Especially if they pick right back up where they left off? Did they explain to them? Did they just pretend to find them a new mom and handle any resentment that popped up as it occurred? And since she usually reappeared as an adult, what happened with the life the new body was living? It would make more sense to be reborn each time. But, if that's all I can find to complain about, and I've done a few rereads in spite of it, then it just goes to show the abilities of the author to draw readers in.

Witchy Tricks and Demon Treats: An Unholy Trinity Halloween
Did not review or read this book.

Witch's Dawn
This is the first book I have read of Crystal Ash. I had a hard time putting it down. Great flow to the story line. Deja left the home of her parents, that tried to push religion on her to no end. She starts a tea shop up from her own plants. One day her and her friend goes to an opening of another friends store and oh boy does the story start. 3 demons watch her and then her grandmother she never new shows up. What is she going to do for the feelings she has for the demons? How is she going to handle the news that she is a witch? What should she tell her grandmother who hates demons?

Witch's Rite
OMG, this book is just as good as the first, can't wait for the next one in the series. Deja is still finding herself. She is welding magic like she was born with the knowledge. She is finding out more about herself and her 3 demons. She has found a witch friend who belongs to a coven in the area. Can she hide the fact that she loves 3 demons? Can she find help to weld her magic better in this coven? Will they even except her seeing her dark aura? What is Diana going to do knowing that she hangs out with demons? Will she ever figure out who she was in past lives?

Witch's Betrayal
OMG this series is awesome. We have action, suspense, betrayal and more. Deja is remembering more and more of her other lives. Seth is now training Deja on Shadow magic and they still don't get along. Who 3 demons are always their for her, but will they always be able to protect her? Can Deja accept everything she is learning about her past lives? What will happen when the coven finds out the truth about her? What about her Grandmother?

Witch's Exile
The story continues with more love, heartache, mystery, and more. Deja loves her demons but when Raum and her have a fight it hurts both. Now we have shifters. Will they help? Will Raum and Deja make up? What is it with Seth? This hate and love relationship? Does Ash find out what is really going on with Seth? Can they beat the hunters?

Witch's Rebirth
Wow the series is over for now. So many feelings. So much no one knows what to do at times. Who to trust. Deja, her demons and now Seth. Can they stand up to her grandmother? Will Deja be able to beat her grandmother? Will she be able to protect her lovers and friends? Can her lovers and friends protect her? What an ending.

I received arc copy's for these 5 main books.

This book collection was really fun to read, I really enjoyed the idea of dogmatic religion and the craft being turned on its head.
This book is spicy to boot, the plot in itself is pretty straight forward but still good enough to keep me interested.

I am glad to be able to read all the books at once rather than wait for each one as they were released.
My only gripe is that I wish the collection was edited to avoid constant "let me fill you in, in case you forgot what happened in the book before" repetition.
If any editing had been done, this book may have been whittled down to maybe 20 pages less.
Don't get me wrong, if I was reading each book seperately at a time, I would understand. But going from one book to the next and reading the same thing over and over again felt a bit much.
There is a chapter that is repeated word for word at one point, again...I get what the author was trying to do with regards to the character's pov. It just felt copy and pasted to the letter.

Oh and one of the characters is added in and asks a really serious "let's think about our lifetime" type of question and for some reason we never have that resolved!!
Is that it for them, because they

Okay besides all that I really enjoy Crystal Ash's writing.

Thank goodness it was a complete series

I can only imagine if this was read book by book waiting for the next to come out. It’d be painful. Some of these ended so abruptly and a little poorly that it would’ve been irritating to read this if the next one was in the works. Aside from that it was a great book with good characters. My only complaint was when the female lead got pregnant, the author was letting her drink alcohol and take meds that aren’t safe in pregnancy... don’t care how magical you are, some readers are young and impressionable and god forbid they think it’s okay.

Required reading for witches 😉

I truly love Crystal Ash, her books just hit and don't miss for me. There is always so much spice and tension but also all that sweet love every romance reader needs. Somehow all her stories just have the best found family story wrapped up in them too. Reading this book felt like finding a home... if that home was multiple hot demon men who are utterly devoted to you.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Also for some reason kindle isn't great at showing the trigger warning pages so I'd just add short scene of attempted S.A. (not between or towards main characters) in case that's a no go for someone.

Good story, out on Audible too so able to listen as I work. Not completely unique story wise but enough novelness to keep me engaged.
I like Deja, she is a relatable character, with a load of baggage from her childhood which is mentioned but not really expanded upon yet.
Demons and demony ... again these are not new to this genre, but they are individual, and the narrator does a reasonably good job separating the voices.
A lot to read for whole series, but I enjoyed it. An easy read / listen, with a satisfying HEA.

What could possibly be better then all of the awesome books in this series contained in one boxset? This let's you start from the very beginning of Deja's story and follow it all the way to the end without the cliff hanger endings leaving you an emotional wreck. Full of intrigue, suspense, action, romance, magic, and lots of steam. Perfect for fans of paranormal RH series. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Just wasn't my cup of tea, but maybe a good read for others.

It was well written and there were good characters. It is better to do the box set then the individual books because the cut offs are bad. The plot was okay maybe a rainy day read. If you are a person that is closer to the Christian faith I would suggest that this is not the book for you at all, just keep it moving. There are some phrases and terms that can be cringe worthy or triggering.

Awesome

It was a great story, all the Characters endeared themselves to you. Some of them were a little hard to be a fan of like Lucifer, but how Cristel wrote it it was completely different and an actual character in a book versus other ways we might view Lucifer. I’ll read many more of her books as this was truly an entertaining read from the first words to the last and I do wish there was more.

Unholy Trinity

Tremendous. Deja goes from being a normal tea shop owner to finding out that she is a witch. Then her demons find her and she finally remembers who she was in the beginning. It is a very graphic book if it is not your cup of tea. She finds allies along her unplanned travels.

In for a treat

It took me a while to get into this book and, more than once I debated putting it down, but I am so glad I didn’t. Once the pace picked up it really picked up. The story drew me in and I love Deja and her mates plus the app unexpected addition towards the end.

I got the boom on KU initially but haven’t decided if I actually want to purchase it yet.

A story that just might make you challenge your old Christian stereotypes.

A story to spin a good Christian's head around, to see Lucifer and his cohorts in a new light. Lilith breaking the mold she was uncaringly forced into, until an angle saves her.

This was beautiful

The demons are so perfect and her love for Seth is beautiful to experience. The whole series had me feeling like I was there and had me wanting to experience everything, even though I'm more like Ash and don't want to share or be shared.
