Lola Barringer is on her hands and knees when I step foot on her property.
Her perfect ass is the first thing I see and the only thing I want.
She's flawless and funny - and so damn sexy. But when she takes a good look at me, she's furious.
Turns out I broke her heart years ago.
I was her first crush, her one and only fantasy ... and now I'll do what it takes to win her back. I effed up once - but I won't do it again. This time I'm nailing down the girl who got away.

Dear Reader,
Second chances never felt so good! Mason Stone can do more than pound a nail in a floorboard.
He's ready to put his hammer to good use! This one is dirty and delicious and exactly what you deserve! Enjoy!

This is a short teasing story easy to read and very steamy.

Lola Barringer is back in her home town and her house is in serious need of renovation but the last person she expected to see when she called Nailed It was her high school crush Mason Stone. He hasn’t changed he’s still the cocky guy he was then and the day she confessed her crush and sent his friend to let her know she could never be anything to him. That day left her shattered and she vowed never to let him near her heart again only now it seems she may have got the wrong idea. Could they really have a second chance or will he let her down again.

Mason Stone the guy from the wrong side of the tracks is finally where he wants to be in life and after seeing his friend settled and married can’t help but be a little envious and once he turns up for a new job he knows he was meant to be right there. But once he recognises the woman who seems to hate him, he needs to know why because he plans on keeping her. Will he find out why she hates him and will he get a second chance with little Lola Barringer.

Fun little read and a cute series, mention of both physical and sexual abuse so not entirely safe.

"Nailed Down" is the story of Lola and Mason.

Hmm.. No.

The h hires a contractor to fix her home and the hero is the dude. Turns out, he was the womanizer hunk whom she had a crush in high school and who broke her heart by tomcatting around. Anyways, he doesn't recognize her because she doesn't look nerdy anymore. He hits on her and her pussy, she confesses her past feelings, he feels bad, decides to stop dicking around, seduces her and you can imagine the rest.

Not my cup of tea. I didn't understand her love for him, neither did I get his sudden change of heart. He was a definite fuckboi.

This was an ok story, I’m really not sure where I want to rate it. I liked the story but I wish it took place over a longer period of time than a day, it moved very quickly. I also wish Lola didn’t stay a virgin, it would have been nice for her to date and get some too. Mason is or was a bit of a jerk in high school and a few years following. It was nice that he got professional help and understood his issues. I’m glad his apology was sincere and truly regretted his actions in the past.
Safety and Spoilers
Safe. No ow drama, om causes drama in high school and again during a night out at a bar. H is a former manwhore and has been celibate for a while, h is a virgin. There is a brief description of om trying to assault h in high school.

Nailed down is book two in the hammers and veils series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Lola and Mason went to school together and both had a crush on one another. Due to not feeling good enough, Mason was a jerk to Lola. Years later and they meet again when Mason gets a construction job at her house.
The chemistry between Lola and Mason was clear to see and I loved them as a couple. I liked the sweet moments between Mason and Lola. Especially the winter coat moment.
I really loved the epilogue/so many years later part of this story, it is super sweet.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review

What a great fast pace short love story.
Where we see old class friends well not so much 'friends' Mason Stone & Lola 'Dolores' Barrington, when Mason whom turns up to remodel her home, where old feelings come back to her which confuses her, especially when Mason seems to react differently towards her than the schooldays.
Things progress so far, in record time, especially from when they open up....

Little story full of tease, yet also sweetly touching. The first chapter is hilarious.

The curvy lady has some past in common with the hot constructor, and that means steamy action and emotional turmoil.

Actually, there's a lot of meaningful interaction between the charactes that precedes the naughty parts, and it feels very warm and lovely.
Mason used to be a player, and didn't appreciate her back in high school as he should have. Lola suffers from a bad experience and struggles with the consequences. In the end, they connect fiercely and feelings overwhelm them.

I liked how he goes from attracted to her to this very possessive, protective alpha male who won't let her slip away a second time. It's very, very sweet. I liked this a lot, and the epilogues are quite heart-warming.

This novella is even better than the previous one in the series.

Mason was a jerk to Lola in high school but she was in love with him. Years later he comes to her house to do renovations and sparks fly. Cute read. Safe: virgin heroine, hero was a manwhore in the past but he changed his ways.

°Virgin heroine
°Womanizer hero
°H with others after meeting the h but has been celibate for a while when he meets her again (they haven't seen each other in 6 years)
°Switching POVs
°No OW drama
°Unwanted attention from OM
°Pathetic af heroine
°The blurb says that he broke her heart when they were in high school but it was all a misunderstanding, she sent him a letter confessing her feelings for him and asking him to take her virginity (which doesn't make sense bc he was a dick to her but she's really dumb so I guess it makes sense, idk...) but he never received that letter
°No condoms
°Push/pull from h
°No cheating or scenes with OP
°Epilogue: 2 weeks and 8 years later -married with 2 kids and they're planning on adopting 2 more

**One thing I have a weakness for is a nice ass.**

**Mason didn’t pay any attention to me back in school when I was that clumsy, flatchested girl with glasses, acne, and braces. But now that I have contacts, clear skin, and a work-out routine that’s toned my once frumpy body, he seems to think I am worthy of his attention.**

**She snorts and I remember that sound. I remember making fun of her once for that laugh. Fuck. It wasn’t because I didn’t like the sound...but because her laugh had my cock twitching. Wishing I could make other sounds escape her lips too.**

**“Damn, I wish I hadn’t been such a fool back then. All that time, you were sitting behind me in English class thinking about me fucking you and I was too blind to see you.” “But you aren’t blind anymore, are you?” she asks, licking her lips.**

**His cock tastes divine. It’s the only cock I’ve ever imagined myself with and I know it was made for me. There’s a reason cheerleaders would gossip about Mason Stone’s length.**

Mason Stone who is part owner in Nail It Construction with his friends is sent out to do a bid on a remodeling job in the wealthy part of town because Ian is away on his honeymoon. Mason meets Lola Barringer who he doesn't recognize but feels he has met her before. Lola had a major crush on Mason in high school, but he broke her heart by his callous ways. Lola has grown into a very beautiful woman who is an artist for children's books and works at a local youth center. Lola has purchased a large house that needs major remodeling done. Mason is attracted to Lola but feels he still isn;t good enough for the likes of Lola. Lola is still attracted to Mason and had fantasies about him in high school. Can Lola trust that Mason has changed in the years since high school? Can Mason prove to Lola that his feelings are real, and he in not that same callous boy from high school who used people? How will Mason react when Lola reveals a painful incident from high school? Can Lola and Mason overcome high school hurts and find their happily ever after? The chemistry between Mason and Lola is blazing hot! I loved Nailed Down by CM Seabrook and Frankie Love. Nailed Down is a quick read with fantastic characters and full of lust, passion, love, and a few misunderstandings. I would highly recommend getting Nailed Down. CM Seabrook and Frankie Love are MUST read authors for this reader.

A short, sweet, steamy story that will tug on the heartstrings.

Lola was easy to relate for me, shy in high school, but an open and warm heart she comes into her own as she grows into an adult. Jump ahead to the present, Mason Stone enters the picture. The boy from the wrong side of the tracks, known womanizer and Lola’s all-time crush. With twists and turns, misunderstandings and a lost letter, Mason and Lola miss their moment in high school to have it come again years later.

Lola needs a contractor for her new home and whom happens to be that contractor? That’s right the one and only Mason Stone of Nailed Down construction. Mason is still the boy she remembers, cocky, womanizing and oh so hot. The worst thing though? He doesn’t even recognize her when they meet again. Lola is unsure if she is willing to out her heart on the line again for a guy that has already broke it once, but…the connection between them is strong and Lola has a hard time defining these unforgotten feelings for Mason.

Can Mason and Lola find out the secrets of the pass? Will Lola be able to forgive Mason for what he did? Second chances are always a risk, but are either or them willing to take that risk?
Contemporary style but with some mention of physical and sexual abuse, warning to safe readers!

And here we go again... Let's start a new book from the amazing duo, Frankie Love and CM Seabrook.
These two have one brilliant and naughty mind, lol, that you can't possibly miss.
It doesn't matter if it's a short story or a full length book because you'll be unable to stop...
Nailed Down is the second book from the Hammers and Veils series and you must read it, but first read Nailed Down... You'll see...
This new book explores the lifes of Lola and Mason.
Mason is the Co-owner of Nailed It Construction with his best friends. He's a guy that used to have things his way but he couldn't imagine that the gorgeous woman that asked for his company services was someone from his past...
Lola is a sweet and funny girl but don't get on her bad side... She had suffered in the past at the hands of a hunk of a boy and now when she thought that she wouldn't see him again...
Beauty. This book was beautiful and special. Perfect even.
Amazing plot, very well written, super engaging and light. It was perfect from page one till the last. I loved it. It was sweet, perfect although I'm a little sad.
Wanna know why? Because it's over... It's over... Why???
I want more.
Please Frankie and CM... Gimme more... More...

Oooh another insta love, shorty sure to set your heart ablaze!!
Mason has the chance to make another impression- one he wasn't aware he needed to do badly, for the new remodel clientele.
After his run-in with the beautiful Lola and her furry friend, he finds out rather quickly that Highschool Mason was not kind to the women standing in front of him.
Overcome with nostalgia, guilt and some very adult feels he volleys back and forth on whats the right course of action with a woman who is too good for his love em' and leaves em' ways.
Does everyone deserve a first-second chance?
DWAH, So sweet, with an emotional twist thrown in, and a sprinkling of smack your forehead male' ism moments that kept me smiling throughout.
A remodel job of her bathroom becomes an overhaul two connected souls breaking down their walls, and becoming one sexy mess of hearts, happiness, and some deserving kids.
The second book in the Hammers and Veils Collection- best 35 minutes of my day- I cannot wait for the next one!

KU*

This is Mason and Lola's story.

I really wanted to love this book because second chance and enemies to lovers romances are my favorite tropes, but this book fell flat for me and went way too fast. Mason and Lola were high school acquaintances (?) since they weren't really friends; he was the manwh*re jock who treated her terribly while she was the "nerdy" artist who made sure to take care of him even he did treat her badly. I have to say I really didn't like Mason because of what he did to her in the past especially with that huge misunderstanding with Toby; and if I'm being honest, I wasn't too please with Lola, who allowed him to treat her so poorly.

Then things pretty much go from 0 to 100 in a matter of seconds because this book takes place in 1.5 days, yes you read that correctly the entire book takes place in one and a half days. I'm NOT a fan of instant forgiveness especially when the person was put through some emotional and/or physical pain.

This is the second book in the Hammers and Veils series and I liked it better than the first. Mason is one of the co-owners of the construction company and he is asked to do an estimate for a new client. Lola is looking for a company to renovate her newly acquired home. Upon first seeing his new client, Mason is instantly attracted to her and what he does not realize is that they have a shared past. Lola knows exactly who Mason is and is reluctant to tell him. She has her own secrets that she wants to keep buried deep. The more time they spend together, the closer they become until accidentally running into a person from their collective pasts shows up to throw everything out in the open. Can Mason and Lola survive the hit? This is one witty, engaging storyline with steamy scenes to whet any appetite for a little romance.
I volunteered to read an advance copy and all opinions are my own.

Mason is sent out on a contracting job for his business and as he arrives he sees a sexy woman on her knees calling for her cat. Unable to stop himself Mason burst forth with the innuendoes. Lola can't believe that he doesn't recognize her from when they were in high school. Sparks fly between them as the walk through her home talking about what needed to be done. Lola couldn't take it anymore and asks Mason if he really doesn't remember her and then lets a steamy secret slip out. Will Mason be able to show Lola that he is sorry for not remembering her? Can they have something between them?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't out it down. The chemistry between them was so hot it just about melted my kindle. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

Short good romance
3,5
I really liked the beginning of this little romance, but then, I was a little disturbed by the speed with which the two heroes say "I love you" while points of their past seem little compatible with such a fast declaration (during 24 hours, they spend just a few hours together). Moreover, I did not understand the reasons for the changes of Lola / Dolores' first names. I thought it was due to Lola's past, but finally, the hero Mason, passes from one to the other without reason.
Lola needs to do some work in her new home and the entrepreneur who comes is none other than her high school crush. When he recognizes her, Mason is immediately attracted, but something holds Lola who is however very attracted too. Mason will have to unravel the threads of his past with her, to have access to her.

Lola is Delores.

Lola Barrington has a major crush on Mason Stone in high school. He was a player and broke her teenage heart.

Mason Stone doesn’t do commitment. He’s potty mouthed and absolutely doesn’t remember Lola. He’s into Lola, Delores, not so much. He was a total tool toward her in high school.

He’s at her house to do an estimate on her bathroom remodel but things get interesting right away. It’s oret instant.

Has he changed in six years?
Can he man up and nail her down?
Or is he still messed up?
I thought Lola was way too forgiving and way too understanding.
Some atonement was definitely called for.
But very enjoyable quick read.
Recommend.

Wow, I loved this story so much!

Mason takes on a new job for his construction company, not realizing for quite a while that the homeowner is the same girl he knew in high school. Lola may have grown up a lot, but her heart has never let go of Mason, even after he let her down in the worst way.

This is such a sweet, heartwarming story! Lola is the one person who has always seen past Mason's public face to the man he is inside, and it's absolutely beautiful to watch her bring that out in him once more. I loved, loved, loved this story, loved the Mason/Lola pairing, and loved their perfectly sweet and satisfying HEA. The extended epilogue was truly inspirational. I couldn't love this romance more. 3.5 stars..

A quick steamy read that is an Insta-love story. Lola needs some remodeling and Mason is just the guy for the job. Mason has decided he wants more than some meaningless hook up. When he first sees Lola he feels an instant attraction and would love nothing more than to act on it. Of course he doesn't have the best track record where women are concerned. Lola remembers just what Mason was like in high school, and she also feels the same attraction Mason does.

If you are looking for a quick read than you can definitely read in one sitting than Nailed Down is it. This is the second book in this series, but can be read as a standalone since each book so far has been about a different couple.

This is a super-quick read that’s a bit clichéd with a storyline that’s quite predictable. Lola and Mason met in high school. She was the clumsy girl with glasses and braces who morphed into a beautiful swan six years later. Mason was the school athlete and popular man on campus. These days he’s still a womanizer, but getting tired of that scene. Their story plays out pretty much as I anticipated with no surprises; it’s pretty hard to have a lot go on when the story is so short. Despite that, it’s a sweet romance that’s well written with some humour and some steamy scenes. I enjoyed the epilogue … a glimpse into their lives, eight years down the road.

Mason was instantly attracted to Lola when he met her at her house to review her renovation plans. He didn’t recognize her, but Lola recognized him and was not a happy camper.
Seeing the love of her life along with memories that crushed her spirit and her heart, Lola is thrown off her axis.
I liked that as soon as Mason realized who Lola was, he remembered the horrible way he treated her.
The rest of the book had him trying to make amends for his boneheaded behavior. It really didn’t take her long to forgive him.
A bit of added drama when the past pokes its ugly head into the present, but the author deals with it quickly.

This is the second delicious romp of this series by C.M. Seabrook and Frankie Love and it's one not to be missed! It surrounds Mason and Lola. He fancies her as soon as he steps in her house but she is furious with him as he crushed her heart years ago and she wants nothing to do with him - at all. Lola, however, is equally determined that he's not coming near her other than to do the work commissioned for her. With great banter that is flirtatious and witty and with twists and turns and misunderstandings this kept me turning page after page. I had a good chuckle with this rom com and loved the steam heat too! Looking forward to book 3. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. FROM A MOUSE TO A BEAR....

Lola and Mason have a sappy-sweet story that starts from a high school crush. Lola only ever wanted one guy and that's Mason Stone but in high school he had his own issues so he couldn't see the girl that as he shows up now for an appraisal is going to bring him to his knees.

Lola and Mason move fast and are the definition of insta-cute. Even when the truth comes out about what happened with the jacket and mystery letter, these two are going to melt your heart, cause frequent sheet changes and have the storybook ending that is so sweet and will bring happy tears.
