A secret society.
A forbidden crush.
And an unsolved murder...

Emily Danes expected the tough classes at Campbell College, one of the most exclusive and prestigious universities in the world. She expected the ivy-covered halls. She expected the money.

She didn’t see Wolf Astor coming.

Obscenely wealthy, socially connected, and heart-stoppingly gorgeous, he’s everything she eve

description Books with secret societies in them are like crack for me. So you can just imagine how excited I was to read this one. Alas, it was just an OK read. I gave it an extra star for originality, as the plot had a lot of potential for sure. However, I wanted more about the secret society, and the murder. We spend a good portion of this book on school dynamics, and a pointless love like triangle. I also found the writing to be choppy. The pace was super slow, and none of the characters were particular

I was so ready to enjoy this one. A new adult romance with a secret society and a case who did it. It sounded like something right up my alley! Sadly, I just felt like this was a waste of my time. I don’t mean for that to sound harsh, but I can’t get the time back that I used reading this book. I’ll just lay out the reasons why this didn’t work for me.

Wow! When I first read the blurb to Wicked Games, I knew I HAD TO HAVE it. It didn't look like your ordinary college romance, but one that is filled with suspense and intrigue. I absolutely loved it! These two authors wove together the perfect intricate web of friendship, loyalty, betrayal, lust and love.

Without giving too much away, we find that Emily is the new girl at the prestigious Campbell College. This is a fresh start for her away from Oregon and her days in the foster care system. While

This is definitely a 'me-not-you' situation.

I should have fully read the blurb before signing up to arc read this - I saw secret society and jumped straight in. Whilst I am a huge fan of Amelia Wilde, I am not a fan of new adult romances, which meant I really struggled with this one. I just can't gel with them. Quite simply the characters usually feel cliched and I just don't feel that connection with them that makes me love a story.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the writing in Wicked Ga

Can't really spoil the story by specifying what didn't work for me... :/

BUT it's suspenseful, it's thrilling and captivating with the mystery that needs to be solved...

I didn't like the heroine at times or two or three and in these kind of books, for me, it's crucial to like/love the heroine more than the, there, it is what it is...

Wicked Games appealed to me the moment I stumbled upon it. There was so much that suggested I would love it, and I was happy to dive into this one and devour it.

Unfortunately, it’s one of those cases where the book failed to live up to my expectations.

Wicked Games had the potential to be a wonderful read, yet I fear things were too undeveloped for me to ever fall in love with the story. There were numerous individual elements I should have loved, but I feel as though nothing reached the point I

Wicked Games by Vivian Wood and Amelia Wilde is my first book by both of these authors! I was super intrigued by the blurb because of the mystery around everything about this story!

While I did somewhat enjoy this read, I have to admit, I struggled. There was too much going on during the first half, it took me awhile to really get into it.
It was very slow at first and then bam, it picked up! But when it picked up, IT PICKED UP!!

Wolf was super intriguing to me, I found myself

This story intrigued me with the blurb but then after the prologue, I really got into it! It was so mysterious and you just need to know who dun it! This story was about rich guy Wolf and poor girl Emily. I really loved their chemistry with each other and couldn't wait for them to finally commit to each other. The story line was captivating and page turning. It kept you questioning and trying to solve the mystery yourself. Really enjoyed this and I hope there's more because I'd love

I'm a bit disappointed with this book.
The blurb looked pretty good.It seemed to me that this book would have everything that I love-secrets,asshole hero and college romance. Those kind of books are usually good and fun to read. But,while this book had all that was promised in blurb, there was a lot of missing too.

Emily is freshmen at Campbell College. From the first moment it's clear that she doesn't belong there. That is,if you look at all the usual kids who are attending. While Emily is poor and rai

This is a new to me duo and when I read the blurb for Wicked Games, I got the feels that this was going to be Gossip Girl on steroids; the romance/suspense/thriller novel had me holding great expectations.

Wolf is just like his name suggests, he is the leader of the pack and dominate to his other brothers; when he comes face to face with Emily everything flies out the window. Stay away to protect her or keep her close to make sure she is safe. Having seen something, he shouldn’t have he holds on

I absolutely loved the premise of this book with the whole secret society storyline and I did like the story but I wish the pace of the book was a bit better. The overall mysterious aspect of the story kept me engaged and I really enjoyed reading a storyline that is more original then what I’ve read in a bit.

The prologue intrigued me - a secret society, rituals, and murder? I'm in! I liked certain aspects of this book, but other aspects disappointed me a bit. Emily is the product of a foster home upbringing, and while she didn't have a harsh childhood, she is fully aware of what she doesn't have compared to her fellow college classmates. She was a little bit of a hot mess between her constant crying and her leading on Max and Wolf. I liked that she was willing to address her feelings with each of th ...more

Wicked Games
is the first book in the series and tells the story of Emily and Wolf.

The blurb of this book really sucked me in. Promise me secret societies, suspense, hot guys and murder and I am all in. Emily worked her ass off to get into Campbell College and she certainly isn’t going to let Wolf in all his mysterious brooding hotness get in her way of doing what she came to Campbell for. A fresh start and to concentrate on her education. But Emily who is by nature curious is dr

Ever watch the movie The Skulls? Well this is a similar story; one of mystery, secret societies, desire, disloyalty and friendship. The ultimate question is: who killed Asher? This story opens to the beginning of a mystery and slowly the story reveals the players and the ultimate question. I loved the way the players were introduced, the mystery woven and the romance bloomed.

Emily is new to college; she is a freshman from Oregon (shout out to my state) who finds herself in the deep end of a new

This was an interesting read and I rate it a 3.5 outta 5. The authors definitely had a unique perspective of ivy league schools and secret societies and I did like the overall plot, it just felt rushed in certain places and then slow in others. I was also confused a few times in the timeline while switching from character to character.

Wolf is exactly like his nickname. He is a take no prisoners kind of guy, even though we see him emotionally in turmoil over having one of his best friends dying t

The two authors have created an incredible thrilling and suspenseful read that had me absolutely intrigued all the way throughout the story. This is the first story I have read in a while that had me struggling to put the story down because i just wanted to keep reading. If it wasn't for the fact that I had to work I would of dedicated all my time to reading this story from start to finish. There was many twists and turns throughout the story making it into one addictive read.

This book hooked me in by the cover and the blurb but it fell a little short. There's supposed to be this secret society and only a select few know the true secrets. And at the beginning of this a book a murder occurs but throughout the story that seems to be secondary to the love triangle that is weaved during this book. Which was totally unnecessary because we knew who Emily was going to choose.
I really wanted to give up on this book by 78% but trudged along only because I'd read as far as I

Wicked Games by Vivian Wood and Amelia Wilde is Emily Danes and Wolf Astor's story.
This is a book that isn't your ordinary college romance but has all this angst and drama plus secret societies set up within the college crowd. Oh yea, get ready for the intrigue and suspense. Ms Wood and Ms Wilde take the time to get into the background of the secret societies, the college romances ( love triangle)and the murder that takes place. There is a range of emotions that are in this story- lust, jealous

I received an ARC of this book, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I love a bit of mystery and suspense wrapped up in romance. However, this one just didn't quite do it for me though. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good read, but the mystery kind of dragged along, and I am not a fan of love triangles, unless it comes in the form of threesomes where everyone involved is willing to share each other. Emily was every bit of a hot mess, but she did have friends that were a good support system. I l ...more

Great read by this new collaboration Vivian Wood and Amelia Wilde! I'm very familiar with Ms. Wood she's one of my 1-click authors but I was new to Ms. Wilde's work and was suitably impressed. These two work well together, I don't know who wrote which parts but they all flowed seamlessly into a truly great story. Sure its mainly about golden boy Wolfe and shy virgin Emily, they have a sweet romance that starts in a love triangle, but between the witty banter and hot sexy times there was a little ...more

I love both of these authors, so I was excited to get my hands on this book. When I first started to read it was intriguing, the whole mystery had me hooked. I liked the premise of what the book was about but I was slightly confused by a few things. I don't want to make this a spoiler review so I will keep it vague.

I didn't feel the full connection with the characters, I couldn't watch them fall in love. I felt like I had somehow missed it. The ending kind of felt like it wasn't complet

Wicked Games was just an ok read for me. I wish I could have gotten more into it because I love a little mystery and suspense with my romance. The plot and storyline had potential, but the book was slow paced and very choppy. The main characters were hot and cold, but again they had potential. Little details like hair and eye color keep changing and certain things didnt make sense. Everytime I thought things were finally starting to get interesting it fell flat for me. Main Character not my cup of tea

This book was okay but I felt i would have liked it a lot more if the main character didn't bother me so much. She is very sensitive and seems to almost cry for everything. I'm the first chapter she's on the verge of tears because someone says something a little rude to her. I have a very strong personality so it's really hard for me to connect with characters like this. I would have also liked more from the ending.
