I’m still here.
After three years, that reminder isn’t as necessary. But everyone has their bad days. This is definitely one of them.
Until an adorable little boy dashes into my store.

Rae, once again delivers all the feels with Ask Me Why. It is such a complex and emotional read, one that just wouldn't allow me to set it aside.

I was so captivated with Brance and Braelyn. Their characters compliment each other so enticingly well. Brance is such a crass a-hole, the best kind of man, and that's what I love about him. Braelyn is a breath of fresh air. She has been traumatized and stuck in a downward spiral, but still finds her spunk. She is a fiesty little firecracker, I just ad

Ahh... get ready to hug your kindle and SWOOON! This story is just salt water taffy wrapped in a sundae with TWO cherries on top... lol! Braelyn is an amazing character, recovering from a car crash that left her alone and heartbroken... Brance starts out just rude and arrogant, and I was like, what? Am I supposed to like this guy??? Answer = YES.

Because then there's Ollie, and that little boy will just steal your heart. I just wanted to scoop him up and squeeze him. And he's determined Braelyn n

5 Emotionally Charged Stars!!!

The author stole my heart with this enemies-to-lovers emotional romance. She brought the angst and all the feels! From broken to pieced back together, these two found their HEA.

Braelyn has been doing her best to move on and live. A tragic accident left her alone and suffering from loss and panic attacks. She picked herself up and followed her dream of opening Thicket, a store that sells candy and unique odds and ends. She’s content, but is about to realize that she

Obnoxiously rude asshole of a male protagonist, who repeatedly insulted the heroine without any reason (not that a reason would give him a go to vomit the words he did...)
The same scenario but him being ordinary looking and she would tell him to fuck off.
Instead she was turned on.

Dear author, what message do you give to your readers with this story? Shall women give a man, who was rude and insulting, a chance? Later on you even make your heroine beg him to have sex with her. Is it how you see a

Once again, this author has gone and thrown me into a plot so thick with angst, emotions, and heartache that it was enough to make cry and I did cry. Harloe poured 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋𝐒 into this book, and it had me hooked from page one right through to the last page of the book. It was epic. I am a sucker for angst. This book broke me, ripped out my heart, tore it to shreds and burned the leftover pieces to ash because some of it hit way too close to home. It’s almost like Rae cracked open the door of my heart and wrote what she saw there, so I was immediately all in. I felt my soul connecting with Braelyn and held her close in the deepest part of my numb, ruined heart. I lived every moment of her story with Brance and his son, Oliver, as if it were my own.

Three years earlier, Braelyn suffered the most deva

Fans of enemies-to-lovers romances with COCKY ALPHAHOLES are not going to wanna miss Ask Me Why by Harloe Rae. The way these two communicate in the first 50% of the book is intense. I never knew that two strangers could have that much hate in their hearts for people they don't know. YIKES! I'll admit, at first it was a total turnoff for me especially the way Brance treated Braelyn when they first met. Howe

I just loved this story!!! I fell in love with every character some quicker than others lol but you will soon see why.

Braelyn has been through so much tragedy devastation, and heartache . We learn a bit about her past but we really get to know her more through her shop and through the eyes of one hyper sweet innocent loving little boy named Ollie. Omg I fell in love with that little boy, he will have you wrapped around his little finger and you can’t say no to the little guy and neither could an

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

I’ve read a couple books from this author and when I seen this beauty I just knew I’d have to get reading it and gah, I was so damn right. This book delivered so much more than I ever expected it to do. It packed a powerful punch of emotions.

Brance and Braelyn are both suffering in their own ways. One suffering from the aftermath or loosing someone they loved, someone who was their lives and the other su

I saw someone recommend this as a slow burn + enemies to lovers romance and I was like YESSSS. But a couple of chapters in I realized this would be a big NO.

And it is. A HUGE NO!!

I hardly ever review books I DNF. But there's aplha male and there's asshole. Guess which category Brance falls into?

He treats Braelyn with all the despise and disrespect a sexist pig would and he insults her grief, her dreams and passion. He refers to women as beings that deserve to be judged for everythi

I imagine this book is going to be heaven for some readers who like these type of heroes, heroes are assholes and misogynists.
Me? I couldn’t hate the hero more if I try.

“He’s ridiculing my dream. My job. My livelihood. My blood, sweat, and tears. All with a nasty smirk on his handsome face. Warning bells clang loudly in my brain, but I don’t need them. Brance is the type of man I know damn well to stay far away from.”

Oh how I loved this book. Brance and Brae stole me away and I'm still there, floating around on an imaginary cloud of happiness, with Ollie scooting down the candy aisle, grabbing some taffy. Let me be clear. This book was not all fluffy. Not one bit. It will tear you apart and put you back together again, piece by piece, exactly like it did to the 2 MC's. Their ARCs are perfectly executed down to the last detail. I loved everything about them, even on their worst days. And Ollie...he

One of the dumbest heroine ever.

The H is a condescending ass. VERY rude. He is nothing but broody and crass, calculating and impersonal.

I don’t know why the h talks with him even after his insulting and hurting jabs. Their initial encounters are full of intense conversations where he he keeps insulting her. But the h was too forgiving and kept ogling at him even after he acts rude to her.

There is a lot of sexual tensions. I will give it that. So when the tension becomes too much to handle, the H

First I FLOVE Brance and his moody sexy self!!! One minutes he's calm and collected and then the next he's moody & sarcastic! Reading Brance & Braelyn's first interaction made me a believer that this was going to be a book that I would not be able to put down until I got to the end and let me say that they did not disappoint.

Getting to the root of why Brance is the way he is, had me sympathizing with all that he went through yet the way he used that against Braelyn had me wanting to use my sorr

I’m definitely confused about all of those five star reviews. Did I read something different? This book was not good yet not horrible either. The story felt forced and completely unrealistic. It felt like I was reading from a five year olds POV as well, and I’m not into that. The chemistry between the guy and girl was non existent. Felt more like the heroine and the kid had more chemistry and that was an instant type of feeling. Very weird. I’m glad that this book was on KU, because I would’

This book was a really nice surprise. It kinda blew me away.
It was really satisfying and emotional.

Braelyin can't seem to recover from the car accident that took her boyfriend away and changed her life completely. She is suffering from nightmares,PTSD and depression. There is nothing that can make her truly happy, except for "Ticket",her own candy store. So when little ball of energy and happiness called Ollie enters her shop she is blow away by him(kids can make everyone happy).

I absolutely LOVED this! When it comes to my favorite types of romances, give me a broody, sarcastic guy and a woman that won't bow down ANY DAY and I will DEVOUR it.
Ask Me Why is that type of story!

Braelynn and Brance - these two main characters have both been hurt. One doesn't want to hurt anymore and one doesn't want to be hurt again. They understand each other's issues in a way no one else can.
Their chemistry was EVERYTHING!Enemies-to-lovers, in my opinion, have the hottest chemistry. The

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. This was very first book by this author and have one other by her that now I can't wait to read. Brance is definitely what you would call bully, he was mean and arrogant. But still I fell for him. I know I know why always @sses that's easy they are sexyiest lol. Ask Me Why by Harloe Rae hit the spot for me. This story starts out with the main characters as major enemies’ story.

Braelyn is suffering with PTSD. As a survivor of an automobile accident that took her fiancés life, she can’t reconcile why she survives, and he doesn’t. She has a hard time making it through some days. If it wasn’t for her store, Thicket and her best friend Sadie she could turn into a hermit

Brance doesn’t have a kind bone in his body, except for Ollie and Mary the grandmothe

Ask Me Why by Harloe Rae was a kaleidoscope of emotions, from the icy wrath and irritation of Brance’s first initial reaction to Braelyn to the sweet, rainbow filled ending. Brance is a lawyer and a single dad. Braelyn’s the owner of a quirky store that Brance’s five-year-old son Ollie discovers when out shopping with his nanny.
Braelyn and Ollie have an instant connection. It’s hard not to fall instantly in love with this rambunctious, happy child. How he’s some witty and full of life with a dad

Waste Of My Time

I got to Chapter 19 and I couldn’t go any further. I had enough. The supposed hero in the book is nothing but a giant jerk. He’s mean, selfish, insulting. At least he loves his son Ollie. He’s the only good thing about the book.

The heroine is no better. They hate each other but it doesn’t stop her from sleeping with him. In her place of business. As they say, it’s a means to an end. It means nothing. And she fine with it. Have some self respect.

Super Cute Book!❤

I've read every Harloe novel and have loved them all, although I have favorites (aka Gent and Watch me Follow). I could always trust on a Harloe novel when I want a sweet but sexy book, with more of a lighthearted feel, a couple cheesy cute moments, and they always deliver! This is another great book by Harloe, and it is officially a competition between Gent and Ask Me Why to take the front runners spot! I'm not a fan of dead partners in books, so I'm glad there is very little t

This is a pretty straight forward romance novel. I loved that about it. There was no bad guy trying to come out of the woodwork, just 2 characters that are having a hard time overcoming their last. My heart broke for both of them and what they had been though, but seeing them overcome and adapt to their feels made my heart warm and fuzzy.

Ollie was an amazing side character. Sometimes in romance novels with single parent, the kids can be pushed to the sidelines but the thing about this book was

It’s emotional to the point of heartbreak, and very addictive.
I loved this book which was my first experience of this authors work , it certainly will not be the last.
