One of the best guide books for fun places truly off the beaten path. Great humor throughout the book as well!

The authors give each drive/site a score for both the geological and archaeological features, which is great as my husband is not interested in the archaeological aspects of the southwest. This has helped us determine which sites we want to prioritize for visits. And because the sites are either millennia or hundreds of years old (and protected), we can be assured that the information is not out of date, even though the book is 12 years old.

Wish I had this book when we were traveling to Arizona frequently. Many sites we would have found worthwhile.
