One of the best books on the Enneagram because it gives ideas for growth.

When I said that I was interested in exploring the enneagram, a friend lent me her copy of this book. But it was clearly more focused on direction, rather than exploration, so I only skimmed it.

A useful book for students of the Enneagram, specifying its use at different levels of development, although I found it near impossible to read because of its narrow approach toward (Christian) spiritual leaders - if you're not one, it keeps you wondering whether you are talking to the right person. Further, I wonder where the material comes from - the observations seem reasonable and true when looked at with common sense, however they are just presented as "fact" without out giving any sense how they came about, how they were tested, and what the context was. And of course, this is exactly the problem with most Enneagram literature.
