Excelent collection! Broad range of topics covered, but overarching themes of history of museum from 1500 to 1900 appear through most of the essays. You can really get a lot out of it, the articles are quite short generally, but to the point and with just enough bibliographical detail to guide you in the right direction. The approach is historical/epistemological, unlike so many articles of the same topic written in English, which often tend to "philosophize" in the detriment of actual analysis. The German is quite accessible as well. I'd heartily recommend it to anyone interested in the topic.
