About the author

Alex’s first writing award was in the 2nd grade with a story about a cat and a dog that overcame their differences and became friends. Satisfied with that success, he put his writing career on hold until the winter of 2012. Now, he spends most days in his pajamas making things up and writing them down. His other interests include board games, being in nature, and binge watching shows on Netflix.

I don't follow baseball, but I relate to the nervous hopefulness at the start of my favorite basketball team's season, or even facing the beginning of anything in this life that is big whose end is uncertain.

This is collection of rah-rah affirmations surrounding the Seattle Mariners are amusing and insightful. And while I'm still not ready to start following baseball, Alex Tuttle's passion for the game comes through and makes for a fun read.
