South Korea by Christopher L. Salter does an excellent job of describing the topography of South Korea. While what most may know in the current age is the ever-rising K-pop and K-drama industry, the beauty of traditional Korean culture is often left in the dark. What this book does is describe with precise detail the regions, and what has prompted such cultures to evolve from certain regional conditions.
"South Korea" is an excellent book that goes into intricate detail on the regions of South Korea and its rise to a first-world country from a developing country that bordered around being a third-world country.

"South Korea" is a book about the great country of South Korea. It explains information from the historical geography to the future of South Korea. It also tells you about the people and culture, the South Korean government, the economy, contemporary South Korean regional identities, and natural landscapes. This book is a great source for essays, book talks, or even just for extra knowledge. A cool fun fact I learned from reading this book is that the president of North Korea and the president of South Korea joined together in the capital of North Korea, Pyongyang "to discuss the state of affairs between the two countries on the divided peninsula." I rated this book 5 stars because I thought the way it was divided into sections and chapters was really great. I also thought it was necessary to rate it 5 stars because it describes things great and there are pictures on some of the pages that help you understand certain parts a bit better. I recommend this book not only to Koreans, but also to anyone who wants to learn a little more about the country.
