Just when I think that Brittainy C Cherry couldn’t make me love her storytelling anymore, she goes and do this. I’ve come to the realization that getting to read her books is not only a journey, but it’s an experience. Her words feel like a healing balm to the fractured heart and you feel the everything. When I heard that Miss Cherry wrote a story about mental health, I am dying to get a copy of this book. Mental health issue is usually a very delicate subject in romance.
In the hand of Miss Cherry, this story has so many punches and word of wisdom. It gives hope in the darkest hour. Landon is a broken hero. He has mental health issue and yet he denied it. He always have this hate relationship with Shay who is the opposite of her.

I am entirely shook by how amazing and beautiful this book was. I truly, with all of my heart, did not expect to be this emotionally impacted by this book when I picked it up. Landon and Shay's story ruined me. It's been forever since I last cried my eyes out for a broken romance from fictional characters and honestly? I miss that feeling. So thank you, Brittainy, for bringing my old self back and making me feel once again.

When I heard this book was about Landon & Shay, I wasn't too excited. After reading about Landon in Eleanor & Grey, I wasn't expecting much. Landon came across as quite shallow.
So, imagine my surprise at the depth of his character in this book. Yes, he does come off as a jerk in the beginning but it gets oh so much better.

I was totally on edge thru this entire story! Not because it was this huge suspenseful mess, noooooooo, because I just have this animalistic (lol) need to get to that sweet spot in a journey. Landon and Shay are in high school, but the characters in this book could be walking any halls, adult or teen. At times it was hard to remember that I was reading about ones so young.
I became completely invested in the world of these amazingly developed emotionally raw characters. Not just Landon and Shay but the world around them and the absolutely amazingly development of those in this world.
