I like the concept of this book quite a bit, but I'm not that impressed with the execution. The way it's written is cool -- almost in handwriting with words in different colors. It's very enticing. But the content is irritating. The author is really into the "electric" nature of Van Gogh's work -- the way he wrote about his art made me actually enjoy it less. It made it seem frenetic or unhinged when to me it has always seemed fluid and calming. He talks about people being "magnetically attracted" to the sun. What does that mean?

The best parts of this book are the pictures.

I did not like the font at all and the writing style is not captivating.

When I finished reading,I couldn't remember any sentence or comment on any of Van Gogh's paintings.
