The Stanton Pack1.Brayden2.Christian3.Julian4.Colton5.Levi 6.Wyatt (coming 12/23/19)Rachel Spencer, Ray to those that knew her, was barely hanging on. She had called for help, but her father had nearly killed her before help had arrived. Unless Hailey could help her, with the magic given to her by Dane, Ray’s prognosis for a normal life wasn’t good. Levi Stanton had been talking to his sister-in-law, Hailey, through their link. She had told him all about Ray and that Ray might be his mate, or Wyatt’s. Levi hoped she was, he had known Ray’s grandmother and loved the woman, but he was also terrified to find out. It was the fear of the unknown.Levi was happy to find out that Ray was indeed his mate, but Ray’s decision to get help from Hailey would be Ray’s alone. Hailey, however, was afraid her blood wasn’t strong enough to help Ray, so Dane stepped in. Ray would need all the strength she could get to face her Aunt Caroline.Caroline Spencer was on her way to town. No one told that woman no and lived to tell about it. And that was exactly what Ray was going to tell her too. There was no way on this earth that Ray was handing her little brother, David, over to that tyrant. She’d die before she let that happen.

Rachel (Ray) Spencer has made a good life for herself, becoming well known for her innovative furniture designs, but when her dad almost beats her to death, her thoughts are about leaving her younger brother, David, behind. Thankfully, a miracle occurs and she's saved. It was close though, and had it not been for the magic her new friends possess, there was no ways she'd ever be who she was before the attack, let alone alive.
Liam Stanton, an artist, is enjoying the work/vacation trip his sister-in-law insisted he take, but he is looking forward to getting home. He had no idea what awaited him though when he arrived. He meets his mate and is distraught to hear about what she endured at the hands of her own flesh and blood, and that the danger to her and her brother is far from over.
As Liam and Ray navigate their new life together, and the changes that mating and what was needed to save her have wrought. While adjusting to her new world, and the unconditional love she'd only ever experienced from her now passed grandmother and David, she will do anything to protect her newfound family.
Will the threat to Ray and David be neutralized once and for all? What secrets will be revealed in the meantime? Is a HEA possible? Now that Levi has found his mate, is Wyatt next? What troubles will she bring?
One-click now and follow along as two people meet under heartbreaking circumstances and discover a love that was meant to be. On a side note, knowing Wyatt will be meeting his mate in the next book, I didn't like the scene where he visits Levi and Ray and we have to read how he was having lunch "with this amazingly built...smart woman." It makes it hard to be excited for his story knowing that, as well as the fact both single and married women are always hitting on him, and how much he enjoys ladies.

For Levi Stanton, art is is life. But he's recently come to the point that he's ready to hang up his paintbrushes because nothing seems to inspire him in a way that makes him happy with his work. In simplest of terms, he's depressed. With his latest art show over seas, he's taking his sister-in-law's (Hailey) advice to take time away and enjoy himself. But when he's on his way home he's a bit nervous. Rachel Spencer is the granddaughter of an artist that he made friends with before she died, and everyone seems to think she's a mate to either him or Wyatt. It's not that Levi doesn't want a mate, but is it really the right time for one???
Ray Spencer has been injured for the last time by her father. But this time it almost resulted in losing her life. Her injuries have made it where she knows she'll never work on her furniture again, and will most likely never find someone to love her because she's just sure she'll be a hideous monster. While trying to convince Hailey and Dane to help her, even if it turns her into a freak, she gets to know Levi and discovers that she his mate.
However, there is still someone evil coming after Ray and she won't stop until she has everything Ray inherited from her grandmother as well as custody over Ray's brother David. If you though Alan (Ray's dad) was bad, wait until you meet Aunt Caroline and discover the kind of abuse Ray and David had to survive at her hands.
All in all this was a good story. There were things that disappointed me and quite a few mix-ups. With many of Kathi's books there is always many different problems interwoven within the stories. But this also makes for mix-ups and confusion which is quite annoying. For instance, in Jules' book, Perry (Allie's brother) he was the chief of police. However, in this one Landon is now the chief...what happened to Perry?!? There was also confusion on what Tess's job was. All through Jules' story she is a surgeon. One of the best, and even surpassed her grandfather. However, in this book she was a former cop?!? When did this happen? My last complaint is that the actual story of Levi and Ray ends at like the 75% mark and then starts the set-up for Wyatt's book. Lord I can only hope he ends up with Bryn because if Bryn isn't his mate then I'll be annoyed that we had to spend the last 15% of this book learning little tidbits about her just to have her die.

Levi has been enjoying his over seas business and pleasure trip. The pleasure part was Hailey idea, his brother Colton's mate, she insisted that he take some time for himself. He is glad she did. A talented and successful artist, Levi hides that part of himself from his family. His mother really hurt him when she bullied and guilted him into seeing his art. Getting away has been good. Sharing his experiences with Hailey through their link has made it even better. He is heading home, Rachel, the granddaughter of the nice old lady and fellow artist that he and his brothers bought many antiques from has bee critically injured. Hailey suspects that she might be his mate.
Ray Spencer knows she has been seriously injured by her father. She almost died. She is grateful for Hailey and the Stanton family and the Pack for saving her live, and giving her and her younger brother a safe place to stay. With her faced wrapped up she knows that the damage done to her is extensive and that she will have terrible scaring. She begs Hailey to heal her. Hailey is afraid, she doesn't want to cause more harm to Ray, especially if she is Levi's mate.
Ray and Levi are mates. Levi leaves the decision to take Hailey's blood up to her. Dane steps in and does it. So far, Ray doesn't show any special talents, other than mind reading. Well until Levi seriously hurts himself.
Ray and Levi are perfect for each other. She is a artist as well, a successful furniture designer, who has her own factory so she can ensure quality of her designs. She loves the work Levi does and gives him the confidence to share with his family. It's easy with strangers, they don't know him, his family does, and their opinions matter and can hurt him.
Ray and Levi settle in to live as mates, but trouble is coming in for form of her and David's abusive aunt. Dane has a plan. Aunt Caroline is going to cause a lot of heartache and pain before everything is settled.
Loved Ray and Levi, fast paced, sweet and a little steamy. Can't wait for Wyatt's story.
I can't say this enough: I'm working towards completing the back catalog of Kathi S. Barton not just because I thoroughly enjoy her stories and her writing style in these series but to remind myself why I became a fan of hers in the first place. The world-building, the characters, the good vs. evil, the relatability of down-to-earth family love and loyalty (at least for me), the drama, the angst, the chemistry (certainly), and all the small indescribable details Ms. Barton has put into these stories that make them so great. Levi, the fifth book in her "The Stanton Pack" series is one of those books. It's a great storyline that automatically seemed to pull an emotional reaction just from reading it. That's because she had pulled me into the story. I'm hoping if she reads the reviews from her older works and applies those tidbits to her newer series there will be a bit more substance to them.
Levi is a very famous artist but he’s also a slob, a cougar (though you’d not know it in this book that any of them are) & shy (especially at his showings as he hides).
Ray is also a very famous artist in her own way as she makes furniture pieces that do more than just look great in your house.
While Levi was having fun after 1 of his showings abroad Ray was fighting for her life as her father surprised her & beat her within a inch of her life. Wyatt knew that she wasn’t his mate so the family believes that she is Levi’s; they’re right but don’t know it until he come back from his show abroad.
To find out if Ray makes it & who the bad people are you’ll have to read this very good book.
Once again we visit the Stanton Pack focusing on Levi this time. Traveling in Europe at the insistence of his new sister in law for his art he was told to have fun. However, at home his sister in laws friend is fighting for her life after her father tried to kill her. Everyone hope Ray ( the friend) will be his or his brothers mate, scared but also excited he cant wait to meet her to find out. As with all the relationships, they always start out with something crazy happening when they meet and this time we have a psycho aunt hell bent on getting Ray's brother and beating him into a good man. Seems like the poor mates drew the short straw and have some winners for family members haha. However, it makes for some fun and exciting storylines. I enjoy getting to know each new character and learning about their past and what brings them to the present when they meet their mate. They are always so interesting, strong and make the men snap to attention. ( in a good way) I love how everyone pulls together to confront the threats showing how a family should be. The storyline moves quickly and is easy to follow, the characters are easy to like and dislike and there is always something to make you smile. I always look forward to the last bit of the book as we get a look at the next mate to show up. I was confused with this one and cant wait to see what kind of twist Ms. Barton has planned.
A really good plot that makes you really feel for Ray and Levi. A little tear fell from my eye. I really loved the book I could feel there emotions. Like I was really in the book. I will have a hard time waiting for Wyatt who is really my favorite I hope he will be the way I have thought of him
