Bill Marshall might as well have been the Devil.

Christina Lee Dodd needs Friday off work. Needs. She's up to her eyeballs in problems.
One of those problems is her boss, Bill Marshall.
And Bill Marshall is an a**hole.

The offer he makes is textbook inappropriate. An HR nightmare.
But is it wrong for her to accept?

Is it wrong for her to like it?

Bass-Ackwards is a filthy wrong-w

This book is so messed up. All Christina wanted was a day off but she got way more then she bargained for.. She's the only girl at her job. She has respect from the guys but not her boss.. He's a jerk and only gets worse. He somehow sweet talks her into doing more at work. It's degrading but for reasons only Christina knows, she lets him do this. I couldn't believe she did that. I would have kneed him in the balls, told him to kiss my ass and walked out but that's just me. Despite being messed u ...more

My first read from Eris Adderly. I discovered this little gem via reader's group. I instantly hooked with the snippet also the cover. Drool-worthy. Let's just say this book kinda blown my expectation. Not in a good way. Still a good krazy story though.

First few chapters seems the hardest moment to digest. SEXUAL HARASSMENT is real. Our girl, Christina Lee Dodd in desperate need for days off. When her boss, "Asshole" Bill ask her to bend offer the desk, she froze. Like... what in the fre

Okay. This was filthy, absolutely and utterly, and I devoured it. This was an unromantic romance with an asshole boss and an employee desperate enough to sell a little bit of herself to him. For a day off.

Christina Lee pulls everything out of her arsenal when she approaches her boss and asks for a day off, shes put on a dress (the only one she owns) and even applied some mascara. She's expecting this to go badly, her boss hadn't been nicknamed 'Asshole Bill' for nothing. But she co
Oh my fucking god this is the best unromantic romance I’ve read in a long time. No strike that last bit, that I’ve read ever , period, full stop, the end. I want me an ass-hole like Bill Marshall, I want to be some foolish man’s Christina Lee.

I spent a good 70% of this book hot and bothered, 20% wanting to bash heads and the last 10% ugly crying and snivel-sobbing in the happiest of ways. I bloody loved grumpy AF Bill and adored on-a-knives-edge-to-insanity Christina. This couple couldn’t have

I first read this novel while serialized over on Literotica. By the time I was done, I was begging for it to be released someday as a full-length novel, and thank you sweet Jesus it finally has.

Listen, this novel is just impossible to describe in words that will do it justice. In the first chapter alone it grabs you by the scruff of the neck and says "Git yer ass over here, 'cause I got a story to tell you." The premise is WILDLY improbable and inappropriate when you first read it, and there’s l

This book is absolutely inappropriate... in the the best way! What a quirky title and story line, it was refreshing and almost like a slap in the face when you start reading it. I will admit it took me to the 2nd chapter to be drawn in, but man oh man, I was TOTALLY drawn in!

Christina and Bill were two people that went about everything in the most 'bass-ackwards' way possible! What a freaking great and appropriate title by the author! These two if they would have just had a little more communica

COMBUSTIBLE! No slow burn in this one – it comes out of the gate HOT and never lets up. It might make you uncomfortable at times but, just like our protagonist Christina Lee, it will be in all the right places. 😉 This author has a way with words and storytelling that gives me the butterflies in the belly feels that I love in a good romance mixed with the hot and bothered I love in an even better bodice ripper. Granted, no bodices get ripped (maybe a pair of panties…or two!) but that’s the awesom ...more

This is my first book by Eris and I throughly enjoyed it!! But with a name like Bass-Ackwards I had to give it a shot and i am so happy i did. It was a hot, dirty little read that will set your kindle on fire!!! But of course it had the butthole older boss Bill who ended up taking advantage of Christina in an hour of need. But who would ever thought that Christina would end up loving ever minute of it and start craving more of it. But things aren't really ever as they appear to seem. T

Ms. Adderly's ability to put words on a page that suck you into a story astounds me each time I read one of her books. Her worlds are rich with detail, the characters gloriously fleshed out, with twisty plots that you don't always see coming. Bass-Ackwards is no different.
This book... This! Book! Never before have I simultaneously wanted to strangle and kiss two characters more than when I read this. They are every stupid decision you (or someone you know) have ever made all wrapped up in a deli

I’m still digesting what I just read and trying to figure out what to say because I can’t really think of anything that will do it justice. To say that it’s a clever story is a start; because it is that and more. If you read Ms. Adderly’s profile, she’ll tell you that she writes about criminals and outcasts (and more) and that her stories are “escape-from-reality romance” and I’m going to differ on that statement this time. After reading “Bass-Ackwards,” I feel as though this was exactly the dos ...more

I am so thrilled that I found author Erie Adderly through author Myra Danvers!

Bass-Ackwards is the first book I have read that Eris has written, and I thoroughly enjoyed this creatively crafted unromance.

So many unique lines that were funny, heart-warming, and down right raunchy, that it was easy to get lost in Christina Lee and Bill’s chemistry.

Running, not walking, to go grab some more of Eris’ word filled goodies!

I need a Bill. Eris Adderly creates a realistic world with angst, hate, love, and all the freaking feels. Laugh, cry, she drags it all out. Bill and Christina - dang. This story is a total five star read.

If you're looking for slow burn, look elsewhere. Like the title says, everything is indeed backwards in this incredibly well-written romance.

Every once in awhile I'm delighted to read a book that is an all round genuine wonderful & thoroughly enjoyable read. The key words here are ALL ROUND. I've read many books I've loved but almost always there is something in each that tends to rub me the wrong way, & unfortunately it almost always is something to do with the heroine. Too aggressive vs assertive, TSTL, whiney, too snarky & smart mouthed, too angst ridden, pages of internal wallowing, etc . . . .
But I must say, there t

Omg, this book! I found myself laughing quite a few times due to bad decisions and Christina's internal thoughts and conversations with herself. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to the end. Christina really knows how to get herself in a bind and quick decision making clearly isn't always a good thing.
Christina is a down to earth girl who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She has real life problems and even works for a jerk of a boss, Bill. She's a very kind hearted person who is doi

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. I basically read it in one sitting. Bill and Christina are boss and employee. I love to read romance books in this trope. This one is different for me as all the books I have read previously were about super rich bosses. In this book, both characters are working class and it came across as a bit more realistic for me.
The way they got together has been done plenty of times before. I

I've been waiting for this book to come out as a complete unit since I first read it back on Lit. I was so excited, and I was not at all disappointed. It was such a great story with a perfect journey for Bill and Christina.

There were so many things about this, but one of my favorite is the fact that A-hole Bill, as all his employees call him, might not be the total a-hole that everyone thinks that he is. I think part of the problem is that he doesn't really talk to anyone and he has to have his

Bass Ackwards was way more than I expected. My goodness it was hot as feck! Christina and Bill have an very, very unconventional start, but who are we to judge? Christina will do anything to help her grandad, and Bill will do anything to get Christina even if it's a bit dirty and wrong.

Christina is cool as hell. She knows what she needs and honestly gives no fecks on how to get it. I really liked her determination. Bill is an awkward as hell dude who is prone to being an asshole. He has no idea

At first, I was sure this book was going to be a DNF, but then, it turned into a pretty good read despite its unconventional start.

With only a few characters centered in a few locations and a simple conflict, it was very easy to follow and held my attention throughout. It truly was a backwards romance, with the hero & heroine struggling to figure out which way was up in regards to love and romance.

A steamy read, there's no mistaking Bill & Christina's chemistry (even after all the awkwar

Slow, Steamy Burn

Christina and Bill enter a strange financial arrangement and you are left wondering how in the world is the author going to redeem this fustercluck of a situation. Well Eris burns through all kinds of *ss-holery and manages to make you feel something for this anti-hero. You are cheering for him to right the errors that led him down this path and for Christina to finally catch her breath and a break. The author manages to make this slow burn flame your engagement to the sweet and

This was sooooo good! The beginning starts off completely not what you would expect and it takes off from there into an awesome book!. This is a book I can honestly say I will reread over and over again. And I don't say that about a lot of books. But the story plays out so well and hits all of the right buttons for me that I just can't get enough! I thoroughly enjoyed the story between Bill and Christina. I loved that they each just couldn't help themselves. And that they each liked each other a ...more

Not sure just how to rate this one

It started off, very oddly...Bass-Ackwards is an appropriate title. I despised Bill, the H. I was disgusted with Christina, the h.
Then, it finally turned around, and I really enjoyed it. But not before I had closed it out several times, vowing to not finish.
In the end, I am glad I stuck with it, coming to terms with Bill and Christina, as they came to terms with each other.
Would I read it again? No. Would I recommend it to a friend? Probably not. It took too lo

Ohmigosh! I have read this book no less than a handful of times. Eris is one of my favorite authors. Bill and Christina Lee are one of my favorite couples ever. Bill is a jerk and he owns it, but he’s a sexy jerk. Christina’s character is so loveable. I want to work at the Haul Ash and I want a Bill. He is my new book boyfriend. I can’t get enough of this book. I love the characters’ inner monologues. This book is funny, sexy, and makes you feel good. Couldn’t put it down. Eris, give me more con ...more

So, I’ll be totally honest at first I was, I’m not so sure about this. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I worried that I had made a mistake. BUT - I did not, no mistake made, shew! As I got more into the story I realized I was really enjoying it. It has a very different storyline than anything that I have read before. By the time it was over, I was totally invested in the book. It has a very high steam factor and my husband greatly appreciated the book even though h ...more

What can I say about this book that others haven't said. I will say we definitely get what the blurb states. We get Bill who is a harsh man who owns who he is. Christina is our heroine who will bend over backwards for those who she loves.

What starts out as a proposition turns into so much more. The miscommunication that takes place did make me giggle a little bit. Talking was not high on their list of things to do when they were together. I will say they definitely had chemistry and the spice f

Boy meets girl, sparks fly, some sort of drama, they work through it, the end, right? Not in Eris' world! Bass-Ackwards is completely different from your typical romance story, with Bill and Christina being everything that is wrong that just may end up working out. With a storyline that is tight, focused, and fast, this is a book you should not pass over. 5 huge stars for Bass-Ackwards for being original, quirky, and one of the best stories I have read so far this year.

Heart Flippin’ Heat

Oh my god. This book was SO good! Hot as hell, dirty, filthy, lovely, cute, sweet and with an HEA that made my heart flutter. And can we talk about Eris’ freaking writing? She strings sentences together so prettily while still getting to the freaking point. I envisioned every scene easily and vivid af. I’m just. I can’t recommend this book enough. Holy hell.

This book is incredible. Eris Adderly's strong character development and great writing, transport you to a little town in Texas where you are introduced to 2 of my new favorite romance characters Bill and Christina. The relationship starts out so backwards that you have to see it to the end. I stayed up all night reading until the finish.

Love this book!

I originally read this on Literotica, and I was so excited to read it in its new format! Great story, great characters, and HOT! Plus, I love Christina’s granddaddy.

Eris writes dark, escape-from-reality romance full of criminals and outcasts. Her stories are the stomping grounds for bada** heroines, untameable alphas, a spectrum of sexuality, and a serious disregard for convention. Expect the decadent and filthy, the crude and sublime, sometimes all at once. Pick a safeword and grab a towel before reading. She is a complete nerd and possible crazy cat lady. S ...more
