Written By the Finger of God: A Testimony of Joseph Smith's Translations

Rate this book
Joe Sampson is a lifetime student of the teachings of Joseph Smith. Raised in rural Utah, he attended the University of Utah and became interested in studying the Hebrew language. He spent the next fifteen years learning the Jewish approach to scripture study. Right from the beginning, he recognized correlations between Joseph Smith and the "Kabbalic masters. After being introduced to Joseph Smith's Egyptian Alphabet and Grammar, he became interested in Egyptian and then expanded his study to Egyptology. It has been a roller-coaster from the mysteries of Hebrew Kabbalism to Egyptology to a confirmed testimony of Joseph as one inspired by God in his translation. While critics attempt to throw aspersion on Joseph smith's translation of the Abrahamic papyri, Joe shows the incredible in-depth perception of Joseph Smith; perceptions that correlate perfectly with the understanding of ancient prophets. Joe's desire is to provide people with some basic linguistic tools to comprehend more fully the deeper spiritual legacy that the prophet Joseph Smith left us. It quickly becomes apparent that Joseph Smith was either ahead of his time in his writings, or more likely, Heaven was his tutor!

This is a profound book that everyone aspiring to understanding the scriptures better should read. It is not just for Latter-day Saints (Mormons), but every Christian and Hebrew descendent who would like to better understand the depths of Judaism and Christianity and the role of Elohim throughout history. It quite opens one's eyes regarding the pattern of God's communications with man.
