Best selling author Ross Williams builds on a thought provoking quote from his semi-autobiography, “Made It Out” and delivers a new masterpiece that consists of two cinematic short stories and several powerful chapters to support his unique analysis of the phrase “Crabs In A Barrel”.“I always looked at the “Crabs In a Barrel” phrase differently. The barrel will remain full if it continues to be conceptualized in it’s original context. The structure of the barrel that has placed the crabs next to each other is more imperative to evaluate than the next crab.” - #1 Amazon Bestselling Novel “Made It Out”
So far The way most of us look at the term "Crabs In A Barrel" show how it is more up to us to want to stay or leave the barrel base on the decision we make in life, the circle we hang around, the "yes", instead of no can have us stay in the barrel, how confidant is we to move on to the next level, leaving the familiar nest to get out of the barrel. This book is Phenomenal, it gives a "Crabs In A Barrel" a whole new meaning. He shares it from the streets to corporate America, and I have personally experienced them both and then I woke up. First, was working a job years ago when my oldest was newborn and second later on in my late 30's, early 40's. This is a must-read, it will open familiarity and educate you at the same time.
I truly felt so many emotions reading this book. It’s heartbreaking, a bit mind blowing, and makes me want to do more to change the world. It also made me truly realize how uneducated I am in regards to what happened in history and, even more so, American history. We are not taught any of that in our Canadian schools and so, even though it is so close and definitely affects us, we are never taught and therefore never question. Absolutely one of the most thought provoking books I’ve read and has changed my outlook. I guess the best thing I can do is to continue to raise my child in a way to understand and respect all.
