I decided to read this book after seeing it cited in numerous more recently published books on the vast problems with women's healthcare. It definitely was extremely interesting to read about early criticisms of the birth control pill, even from socially liberal supporters of the sexual revolution. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the history of birth control in the United States. However, it is just one of many books available today on the dangers of profit driven pharmaceutical companies, the racist history of the birth control pill, the history of ignoring women's dangerous side effects from the Pill, and pathologizing natural female biology.
