"Walk with me on the solar promenade
To the paradise of fire's enchantment"

Solemn and dreamlike, Cosmic Love paints a vivid image of love and hurt in the wake of an unknowable future. An infusion of science and magic, heart and mind, this poetry collection rains down its verses like stars. Cosmic Love is nothing short of inspiring with its dark, imaginative romances. Trivia & Commentary: Cosmic Love is the first book I ever published by myself. If it helps any authors who might read this, independent poetry is a much better and cleaner-cut avenue for you. I promise this from experience in my job in the poetry industry. This/>Trivia

I don't read a lot of poetry at all to be honest, but this one really caught my attention. Besides, who can go wrong with a free book? :) Cosmic Love is divided into two sections, one significantly darker than the other, and I don't know why but it had me thinking of the TV show Sailor Moon that I used to love as a kid, probably the psychedelic words of opal apex, stardust factory, molten tiara, and it's a short book so even if you're not a poetry person, it's great for an evening read and it will probably mean different

This was a very quick and unique set of short poems that make up a continuous, darker themed story. A bit different to what I'm used to reading in poetry works, but reading it through more than once made me like this collection of poems even more.

My FAVORITE part was:

Hinder me but once,
You’ve lost my trust – hinder me
Twice, you’ve lost my love

Great job, Emm, and thank you for letting me know you released your first work!! I was happy to read it. 😘

Poetry in haiku format, beautiful and intricate as blown glass. Prisms reflect perfectly chosen words and send out rays with teeth. Unique and precious to behold, you can read it here, but do not touch.

Traditionally, haikus are a short snapshot of poetry, three lines of poetry, sometimes with the last line meaning nothing and having no relation to the first two lines. A traditional Japanese form of poetry, usually in one singular vertical line; the English counterpart of haikus takes the above aforementioned three line stanza in parallel to the traditional three Japanese verses.

In the first poem, “Cosmic Love”, Shuford has taken this tradition and turned it, in form, on its head. W

I admit everything I know about poetry could fill a tiny corner of a Dr. Seuss greeting card. However, my ignorance did not prevent me from thoroughly enjoying this. There’s a surrealist quality to all of the haiku (haikus?) that slapped my imagination right in the face with more intention than the randomness of Le Cadavre Exquis. I also love the author’s artwork (yay for the cover!) and the poems are practically begging to come alive with her chilling imagery. Although this was a quic
