I was so looking forward to this book. I loved Rick Fars in previous books and couldn't wait to hear his story. But I have to tell you I got a few chapters in and thought OMG, this is so not my thing. I kept going because I love Kl's words and I knew she wouldnt steer me wrong and thank goodness I did.

This beautiful story about the complex lives we lead and that love, however we find it, is all powerful, deep and all consuming. I soon got lost in Ricks story and struggles to find his way. I absolutely adore this guy. In fact I think this is KL Shandwicks best book to date so far (although I will always have a soft spot for Flynn). A truely epic love story.

For the author, this is a book to be proud of. For the reader, this is an absolute must read. Add it to yor TBR list, right now. Trust me, you will not regret it

Exhale and Move On...
l think l need to breath and let my palpitations slow...

We all know how well KL Shandwick can write Rock and Roll,
how she pulls us into their world of excesses, of drugs and booze end sex.
She knows how to press all our buttons and give us great pleasure with her writing.
With this story she gives us all of the above, as well as some major conflict
between Rick and the people he is attracted to.

Rick has always known he had an attraction to men as well as women.
He had certain relationships which he kept hidden from the public,
but he couldn't keep his attraction to a certain man from coming out.
Rick loved the female body, he loved soft curves and soft skin,
but he also craved something more intense.
He knew that he needed and wanted some hard, strong, bone crushing,
intense, fighting sex with a male body.

His dilemma begins when he is attracted to a man that is already taken.
What starts out as a bit of experimental sex, soon turns into some life changing feelings.
Will Rick do the right thing and exhale and move on ?

In the mean time he is organising a fund raising music festival
for the victims of hurricane Katrina.
He brings together Gibson and Alfie and Lily and Lennon and all this Rock star circle.
He puts together a Rock extravaganza , which even had me all hyped up.

This is a very well written book that deals with some intense, conflicting feelings.
l have to say that the sex scenes are off the charts hot,
all the M/M scenes had my heart racing and blood pressure rising.
I would definitely recommend this book, because the author goes to great lengths
to explain Rick's past, his feelings and loves and with the right amount of angst
she had my heart breaking for Rick too...

Reading Exhale and Move On was akin to venturing into voyeurism. You are front row and center into Rick Fars trying to find what's missing in his life when everyone who means something to him is settling, Rick is still plowing through a woman or three, harboring an 8 year old secret, but is coming to realize something is missing. I found this book rather fascinating, K.L. Shandwick really lets you into Rick's mind, seeing that what's on the surface is no where near what the man is actually about.
This book is not for the faint of heart where sex is concerned - there is M/M/F relations and while by the end of the book Rick stays true to himself and who makes him happiest, I however wasn't all that convinced with one of his choices. So why five stars? The writing. I read this book in one sitting and the bonus was definitely getting to see bands from K.L.'s other series getting together to throw a huge charity concert first conceived by Rick & Alfie Black from The Everything Series

This book, there are no words that can do it justice, it was beyond amazing and the level of hotness that comes with each page, WOW.

Going in I had no idea who Rick Fars was, I had not read the other books that he was in but you don't have to have read them in order to fall for Rick and have all the feels for him as we follow him on his journey of self discovery and where he wants the rest of his life to go.

This book may not be for everyone as it has many M/F/M and some M/M scenes, I am not usually one to enjoy books that have M/M scenes but the ones in this book are so tastefully done that you will be fanning yourself at the end.

At the end of the day I am in love with Rick Lennon and Coral

"SIGH"

OK for one this book is freaking hot AF!! If you are not squirming in your panties by the time your done reading this then there is something wrong with you lo!! This book has a very fast paced story, a whole slew of sexy RockStars , again hot sex scenes and some truths revealed. I think the ending was great and Rick chose the right path to happiness. I have read some previous books in the line up leading up to this one but not necessarily all of them to have to understand where it went and how it ended. Lots of friendships, and having each others backs with acceptance = golden!!

Oh My Good God!!!
I absolutely Ioved every single minute of Exhale and Move On. It's very different from what you would expect from this author if you have read her previous work but she's absolutely nailed it.

After first meeting Rick Fars in the Everything Series, where he came across as a womanizer with a playboy attitude I was very intrigued to see how his story would pan out and let me tell you there is so much more to him than meets the eye.

A highly recommend read it's definitely not one to be missed!!!

Gibson?Alfie?Kaden? Bene.. ci sarà una sorpresa per voi!

Buona lettura, 5 stelline per me

If you like hot, dirty sex and wild rock gods, then you will love this story. It is sizzling HOT!

In this story, KL Shandwick draws all her Rock Stars together, for a charity gala event. Rick Fars is the sexy rocker who hasn’t settled down; he loves ‘em and leaves em’ and is happy with his life, or so it appears to the eyes of the world. Rick is a complicated character and although I wasn’t that keen on him, to begin with, he grew on me. He isn’t quite the shallow guy he appears and the getting to know about him definitely made the story and interesting read. I loved seeing his kind side shining through.

As I said if you like hot sex in a story, including m/m and m/f/m, you will want to read this one. The sex is graphic and dirty but, there is also raw emotion, starts of relationships, and love involved, which add gentleness to it all. Personally, I felt the end was a little rushed and there were a few things brushed over which I'd like to have known more about but it's a good read that's for sure.

This is definitely worth a read, especially if you have read and met KL Shandwick’s other rock books. If you haven’t read the others it won’t matter, it can be read as a standalone and I guarantee it will make you want to read all the other books.

5 star review of Exhale & Move On by K.L. Shandwick
Audio Review:
K.L. Shandwick is a new author to me and I have absolutely no idea why that is. The narrator Bolton Hill was also new to me so I was excited to listen to this book. Wow, where do I start. The story grabbed my attention from the first chapter and would not let me go. I became so invested in Rick, Lennon and Coral's story that I listened well into the night.
The narration was extremely good and really brought the story to life as I listened. The only thing that would have made this even better was if it had been done in duet narration, but that is just my personal preference.
This was not just a Rock star story but a story with heart and soul and it really got to me on a number of levels. It was also a very steamy listen and there are numerous scenes of MMF, MFM and Bi so be prepared for temperatures to rise.
Loved this one from start to finish and cannot wait to dive in to more from both the author and the narrator. This has made me even more excited to meet K.L. Shandwick in London later this year. Now I am off to seek out other books from Ms. Shandwick.

So im having a bit of a Kl Shandwick binge read recently and decided Rick Fars was going to be the next on the list for me... and boy am i kicking myself for not reading this beauty before now!
Noone quite writes a rock star read like Kl and this one was no different.
Rick overall looks like he has it all, but underneath all the alpha image is a man who has secrets and heartache.
When everyone seems to be letting him down all over the place an unlikely person or two come to rescue without them all even realising how much it would mean to them all.
With MF, MMF and MM parts, emotions, bumps in the journey, steamy scenes and above all else an amazing storyline this book has it all!
Would highly recommend.

I was so excited to read Exhale and Move On and it is just as amazing as I hoped it would be. This author's words are captivating and she did a fantastic job of showing us that love is love in whatever form it takes.

The world sees Rick as a womaniser, a typical rock star out for a good time but there's more to him than meets the eye. There's something missing from his life, and he's looking for that special someone to share his passions with. He's done with the superficial and messy but doesn't realise how complicated his life is going to become.

I wasn't quite sure how I felt about Rick in the beginning but he soon got his hooks into me and I was eager to discover where his journey would end. The author did a fantastic job of bringing his character to life. He may be arrogant at times but he doesn't always get his own way and his compromises make him real and likeable. Incredibly well written, there's lots of passion to steam up your kindle, (and maybe spark some fantasies!), which is hugely hot and sexy but there's tenderness and care too. I loved the way the whole story unfolded and developed, and I couldn't put it down. My absolute favourite book from Ms Shandwick so far, it goes a long way to showing why love is so intoxicating, namely that you feel a better person for it. I have no hesitation in recommending this book as a must read.

2.5

Rick Fars is a rock star, in the game for 20 years and sexing it up every chance he gets. He's in a long-term relationship/affair with a married man, Jody, who Rick believes to be the love of his life, though neither of them is faithful to the other (though Rick does not sleep with other men as a means of being faithful). When Rick realizes that Jody is never going to leave his family for him, he ends the relationship and moves on, exploring his sexuality with other men. We get some graphic menage scenes as a result, but it isn't until Rick meets up with his friend Lennon and Lennon's long-time girl Coral and a complicated, emotionally prickly menage relationship starts up. Lennon and Rick have long been attracted to one another, but Coral has no idea that Lennon swings that way. So when their relationship turns from two guys pleasuring her to two guys pleasuring each other, she slams on the brakes and Lennon and Rick need to navigate what their relationship will be moving forward. Rick is becoming invested emotionally in both Lennon and Coral, but prepares himself to move on if things don't work out.

Meh. First thing I can tell you - nobody is faithful to anybody in this story, so be prepared. There is very much a mindset that emotional fidelity is one thing and physical fidelity is another and for the most part, the people in this story accept that and live with sort of open relationships. Maybe that's why it didn't bother me so much. I didn't like it, but I wasn't getting angsty about it. And maybe it's because this was the set up from the beginning so I kinda doubted how much these people were in love so figured the extra sex didn't really matter. For example, take Lennon. He's been with Coral since they were 18 and is totally in love with her. But, he's bisexual and feels like she alone can't satisfy all his needs and so he makes it clear they can stay together but he's going to be sexing it up with all these other people while he's away from her. She is hurt by it, accepts it and tacitly gives him permission and stays around waiting for him (not having any relationships of her own). What's more is that Lennon gets all bent out of shape when she talks about having a menage with two other guys. Meanwhile, Lennon hasn't been out sexing up guys to fulfill that part of his needs - he's been with girls too, which makes it a cop out. Then they drag Rick into their relationship which gets even messier (and Rick is unfaithful to Lennon, but also jealous of his relationship with Coral). I wanted Rick and Lennon to get together, but honestly found myself not wanting Coral in the picture...especially after her freakout about Rick and Lennon together. But they do get an HEA as they all come out together as a throuple. Problem is, I wasn't buying it. They're happy for now, but one of them is gonna find something better. It didn't seem like these characters were capable of intense emotional relationships and loyalty.

The sex was hot and this was a refreshing change of pace from my normal romance, but this didn't leave me with happy feels or anything.

I read Exhale and Move On about a year ago and loved it, so I jumped at the opportunity to listen to the audio version. I think I enjoyed it even more second time around. The narrator had a fabulously deep, gravelly voice, absolutely perfect for hot rocker Rick Fars, he nailed it.

Rick Fars is the ultimate rock star. Sex, drugs and rock n roll all the way, but there's a lot more to him that meets the eye. He's so much deeper than his public persona. Rick is complex, he has integrity despite his womanising ways. When you dig down, he's lonely and has a lot of love to give but he's raw, jaded and has been burnt. He also has a huge secret even his closest friends don't suspect.

I loved Rick, he has a reality about him and I really felt his emotional struggles. Underneath his mask, he has a heart of gold and pure sexiness. There were times I just wanted to give him a big old hug.

I don't know if KL Shandwick has experience behind the scenes of a rock band, but I can just imagine it is exactly how she portrays it and I love the insights she brings and the camaraderie between the band members and friends. She has beautifully written a realistic but very unconventional love story and that sums up Rick perfectly. If he can put his past hurt behind him and trust in what is in front of him, the unconventional could be exactly what he's been searching for all along.

Overall a page turner of a story with the feels I wanted and a whole load of sexy steamy hotness, (there is mf, mm and mmf - definitely my cup of tea!) I loved listening to this, the narrator really brought Rick and his story to life. Highly recommended and I'm excited to read and listen to more by this author, so many intriguing characters!

There is no doubting this author is the mistress of rock and roll stories, she certainly knows how to pull us in to the world of music and passionate nights but Exhale and Move On takes us to a whole different level in this book we get a beautifully written love story about the complex life we live in, we get the journey Rick finds himself on as he searches for love and at the end of it we realise it really doesn’t matter who we find love with because “Love is Love”..........
In this book we follow Rick as he first try’s to hide his secret attraction and then as he opens up and experiments with MMF, MFM and Bi before finding what truly makes him happy.
This book was an amazing book to listen to the narrator did a fantastic job bring the characters and the scenes to life. Bolton Hill is a new narrator to me but after listening well into the night with this one I will certainly be checking out more of his work.
Loved this from the very first to the last line and if you are looking for a book that’s full of heart and soul and extremely hot please one click Exhale and Move On. Great writing from the very talented
K.L. Shandwick and great narrating from Bolton Hill.

Exhale and Move On by K.L. Shandwick is a Unconventional Rock Star Romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Bolton Hill. This is the first book of K.L.’s that I have read and look forward to reading more from her in the future. Bolton did an amazing job narrating. I haven’t read a lot of books based on a man’s point of view of relationships and I really enjoyed it. K.L. and Bolton are an amazing paring for this project. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Romance, Rock Star Romances, and M/M/F Romance.

recensione a cura del blog “Libri Magnetici" by Ila

I could see Rick fitting in with the rockstars of the sixties and seventies. At times I felt like he delighted in letting us know about his exploitations. One thing that made it easy to picture what he was up to was having Mr. Hill as our narrator. It was very easy to picture him as a rocker enjoying what comes being in the industry.

Our author had me wondering if she has a wild imagination when it came to Rick's profession or if she did a lot of research. It was interesting to see that she's written a few book and this was the first time I had heard of her. One thing I liked about Rick's character was that he is one that will use his fame to help others. Something I missed was getting a chance to hear some of his music. That's something we miss when listening to a book as opposed to reading it. Sometimes an author creates a playlist that can be found either at the beginning or ending of a book. This may be one of those cases where I need to have a printed copy of the book.

On the negative about the book I felt it was more about his exploits than anything else. At least that's how the beginning was. I felt it got better as the book went on which was good because I had a few eye rolls. Having Mr. Hill reading to us may make you feel like a voyeur. Although, Rick may have enjoyed that. It's not a straight M/F read so you have to keep your mind open to any possibilities. The language is blunt and it's more in your face when listening to the book instead of you doing the reading. By the end I was looking forward to checking out more of our author's work but sadly this is the only audiobook - so far. It also left me looking forward to checking out more of Mr. Hill's work. And if I want something to heat my blood, I can see myself listening to this audiobook again.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Exhale and Move On. Having read a number of books by this author previously, my attention was instantly grabbed when I realised there would be appearances from some of the characters I already know and love. There are some I have yet to meet fully, and this story has left me itching to find out more about them - particularly Alfie and Lily.

This story packs some heat! In fact, it is as hot as Hades during some scenes. This is Rick Fars' story, and it is very well written using his sole POV. He’s the ultimate rock god but his personal life is complex, and I love how the author wrote his journey. I can see why Rick is so well liked and thought of, because he always considered others - unless they were one of his hook ups of course! I loved that he played a major part in the event that enabled all his rock star friends to get together, and I am certain he loved how that successfully extended into his personal life too.

There are MF, MM and MMF scenes throughout the story which I felt were tastefully written and were necessary for me, the reader, to fully understand Rick’s journey. I didn’t find this to be an emotional story but I was invested in learning more about the man and his feelings and needs, and I wasn’t left disappointed. This is my first-time meeting Rick and I believe he appears in K.L. Shandwick’s Everything series. You’d be correct in thinking that I’ve bumped that series up my ‘to be read’ list. Not only do I want to see more of Rick, but as previously mentioned I need to know Alfie and Lily’s story too.

Exhale and Move On is a great read. I am certain you will enjoy it just as much as I have.

I was not prepared for the emotional roller coaster KL Shandwick put me through with this book. I'll be the first to say that M/M and M/F/M books are not my usual reads, but this book may have changed that. Having read another book by this author, I knew she could bring the heat and the emotions to her characters. Rick Fars is no different, despite his "exhale and move on" mantra. Ms. Shandwick put her main character through some pretty intense personal situations, some the reader sees, but the biggest hurdle comes from his past and blindsides him toward the end. Ironically, that is the jumpstart he needed to really move forward to his future.
Rick seems to have it all: rock star, women, good friends, and a great career. However, he feels something is missing in his life. He's quite the ladies' man but there is a piece missing in his soul. Bringing all of his rock star friends together for a huge charity event, he's forced to confront his secrets, his past, and his future.
Ms. Shandwick treats his journey with finesse and passion. The emotions leap from her words and the all of the sex scenes are HOT. I was rooting the entire book for Rick to get his HEA or at least a HFN. I listened to this book and the narrator, though new to me was stellar, and I will tell you this audio is NSFW. His mellow voice gave Rick the sexiness one would expect from a rock star. I have not yet read any of Ms. Shandwick's other rocker books, but they are certainly at the top of my TBR. Her characters and stories are captivating. I highly recommend this book

Holy sh*t! Rick Fars has totally blown me away with his actions and choices in this book. In a good way! Learning the characters of Lennon, Jody, Coral, Jasmin and the role they played around Rick had me rereading sentences to make sure I understood what I read correctly. I really was shocked through the whole book! I've read all the books Rick was in previously and his character portrayed in them did not have me prepared for what I received in this book. I got so much more of Rick in this book. I learned how he thinks and how he feels and I was in awe of him. He's been through alot as a rocker, but what rocker hasn't. His story was somewhat different and very interesting. I wondered throughout the book what someone of his position would look like, but all the rockers in the book really. Then to actually physically meet people of what they do for a living in person. It is totally mesmerising and exciting.
K L Shandwick is an amazing writer! I love all her stories she has created. Her words make you feel for her characters. She sucks you in and makes you hate it when the story ends. This was another fabulous read!💖

I must admit this isn't the first time I've read this book. This isn't the first time I've rated it either. And before you throw books at me let me explain myself. The first time I read this, I didn't like it. Why? No clue. Bad day? Headache? Who knows. But, on that day I gave this book 3 stars (forgive me K.L. Shandwick). I don't usually do that, but for whatever reason on that day I could not get into this book. Then I read Missing Beats. I literally could NOT put that book down. I continued to read until I read the end. That's when I knew I had to give this book another chance. THIS time, same that that happened with that book happened again. I COULD not book this book down. Rick, Lennon and Coral's story had me from the get-go. And even now, now that I've read the end, I find myself wondering what is next for them. Do they live together happily ever after? Do they end up touring together? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! LOL!
So as much as this is my review for this book, its also my apology to it's writer. Sometimes, us readers, don't know a good book when it hits us in the face. Sometimes we have to be hit twice.

Great Story, Great Audible Listen🎧 Emotional & Hot🔥

Exhale and Move On
By: K.L. Shandwick
Narrated by: Bolton Hill

This is my first K.L. Shandwick book and consider me wowed! Rock stars are one of my favorite characters in romance books and what a rock star Rick Fars is! His story is not a typical one it is so much more. It is beautiful written, it is like the author is taking you inside his mind, you hear what he is thinking, you feel what he is feeling, what he is going through, the emotional turmoil, heartbreak, his wants, his needs and yet he stay and appears so cool. Yeah, he is a rock star and not your usual one either. There was great chemistry between him and Lennon and with Coral once she got on board. It may have took them some time to get it right but I am happy it did. Shandwick, thank you for this great and entertaining story, I am looking forward to checking out more of your work.

I listened to the Audible edition, Bolton Hill is a terrific narrator and voice performer. He brings the characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.🎧

I absolutely loved this story. Exhale and Move On is a story about the complexities of love and relationships. Its a story about understanding yourself in order to know what you want and find what's missing from your life. I love how this author was able to blend rock and roll with sexual exploration and acceptance. This book was Hott with MM, MFM, MMF scenes that will have you glued to the pages. The story was well written with a great cast of character. The main characters Rick Fars was a complex individual who you can't help but love and as the story progress you will be rooting for him to find his happily ever after. There were some intense and conflicting feelings in this fast paced novel and I loved the HEA ending.
This novel was narrated by Bolton Hill. He was a new to me narrator and I was very impressed with him. I enjoyed listening to his voice as he really brought the story to life for me.
Exhale and Move On was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all lover of Rockstar romances.

I think a lot of the time we need to all just exhale and move on and this book shows that no matter what happens we can push and work through it and move on , Rick is a rockstar with a secret , sure he's your typical rockstar who LOVES his groupies but he has another side he keeps hidden until one night when hes push 'into'? his comfort zone
this book kept me engaged throughout the whole story and it had some very sexy scenes within , even if your not keen on MM I think youd like it , it is probably one of the best to ease you into an MM story (butter supplied to help you slip in) it is however not just an mm/ mfm / bi story it is a love story in one of its truest forms and you really root for the characters throughout.

Bolton Hill is a new narrator to me and he played the parts absolutely amazingly, it was like his voice was made to play these characters and I felt I got so much more out of this book by listening rather than just reading .

highly recommended.

**Audio Review**

On the fence with this one!!!! Exhale and Move On is your typically rock star identify crisis kind of story with lots of sex and music. Rick loves to be in the spotlight and the party scene but he secretly has a desire not just for the ladies but for one particular man also who ends up breaking his heart. While nursing his broken heart he has ends up having some sexual tension moments with a long time friend and when this friends girlfriend wants both men at the same time Rick agreed. Next thing you know they are in a relationship and all is HEA. I felt the story jump around a lot and not dig into the characters as much as I would like. I did really like Rick, Coral and Lenny though and the M/F/M scenes have some heat. Overall I would recommend it if you like the rock star storylines with added hotness.

Bolton Hill as a narrator did well with Ricks character but I didn’t really feel the emotion or the depth of the story. I wasn’t sold on the voice as a rocker ladies man type but the narration wouldn’t stop me from listening to another in the series by him.

Going into this book, I wasn't quite sure what to think. Rick Fars is a character, that is for sure. He is a rock star, one who loves them and leaves them. Now 38, he begins to rethink things. His bisexuality is something that has remained a secret, but that does not stop him from seeking male and female companionship. When Lennon and Coral come into his life, things change for them all. The beginning of this story had me wondering where it was going to lead, but as the story progressed, I became invested in the characters. KL Shandwick has led us into the world of exploring desires, finding what is missing and learning to accept yourself as you are. The book is full of raw, gritty scenes full of passion and satisfaction. It's my first book by her, but it won't be my last.

Bolton Hill brings this story to life. I think his voice is the perfect fit for the lives of these rock stars. He has a gritty sound, can add nonchalance and emotion where needed. He has a talent for giving the voice just what is needed for the scene, making the emotional pull strong and the story flow.

5 Stars this unconventional romance!

I didn't get from the blurp that this book involved MM and once I got into the book and realized it, I didn't know if I was going to like it because I normally don't read MM books. But the love story just drew me in and I couldn't stop reading. Even though Rick was a total a$$hole, I felt sorry for him because he was never first in someone's life. Lennon knew what he wanted, he just never thought he would ever be able to have it. This has to be one of the steamiest books I have ever read.

After eight years of being in an open MM relationship, Rick realizes that Jody is never going to leave his wife, so he breaks it off. Rick has known Lennon for years, but he never realized he was attracted to him until recently. When Lennon and his long-time friend Coral ask Rick to join them for a night, he knows it's a bad idea, but he's not denying his feelings anymore. The three of them embark on an unconventional relationship that will change all their lives. Will Rick be the "other" lover again, or will he find his happily-ever-after?
