At long last, we come to the final arc in the excellent Bungaku Shoujo series. After exploring the background stories for all the side characters like Maki and Nanase, Nomura-sensei finally tells the story of the titular character herself - Amano Tohko. Fitting for a series finale, the final story arc is divided into two parts, with part two scheduled to be published some time early next year.

As per her previous novels, this volume of Bungaku Shoujo is filled with intrigue. Despite reading about Tohko's exploits for six volumes, we know very little about her after all. Why did she approach Konoha while he was at his lowest? Why does she have a different family name from her 'brother', Ryuto Sakurai? What did she mean at the end of volume six, about wishing how things could continue on like this?

A brilliant penultimate volume that will keep you guessing till the end, while paving the path for the series finale. 2014 can't come sooner!

So với nhiều tập khác, tập này yếu tố tình cảm cảm xúc lại được đẩy lên khá cao trào. Bí mật của mối quan hệ giữa gia đình Kanako với gia đình Tooko thực sự khiến mình cảm thấy khá lằng nhằng. Có một nhân vật chắc tạo sự rùng mình nhất của tập này là Ryuuto, cảm giác tất cả đều nằm trong tầm kiểm soát và chuyển hướng theo cậu ấy. Điểm này thật sự khiến mình cảm thấy hơi rờn rợn trong người. Dù sao thì cũng thật tò mò về tập sau nhỉ? Đi kết thúc câu chuyện thôi nào.

Câu chuyện của những nhân vật còn lại trong series này cũng dần hé lộ, cũng như xoay quanh việc Konoha có tiếp tục viết tiểu thuyết hay không. Bởi vì vẫn còn một quyển nữa nên mình nghĩ bi kịch này vẫn chưa kết thúc, còn điều gì đó chưa được hé lộ...
Chắc mình nghĩ nhiều thôi nhưng có vẻ như Yui và Kanako đối nghịch không chỉ về tính cách mà còn cả về văn phong, Kanako lấy đề tài từ câu chuyện xung quanh cô, của chính cô, nghệ thuật vị nhân sinh, còn cô Yui, có lẽ mình nghĩ đến sự nhẹ nhàng bay bổng, nghệ thuật vị nghệ thuật.

This was good enough so that I went out and found volume 2 and bought it (even though I could only get it from Amazon). But it's not perfect. Konoha Inoue, were he an actor, would be described as a ham. He is far too emotional for my taste. Every event in his life is a catastrophe. However, I want to see what happens to him, Tohko Amano and Nanase Kotobuki. That's whi I bought volume 2.

I got mixed feelings about this first part. There is a lot of build up and set up for the 2nd part, but I pity Kotukubi and Inoue that get dragged into problems they don't really need.
I was going to give it 3 stars, until I realised I smashed the book and really didn't want to put it down. Onwards to part 2 and finish the Book Girl saga :)

In this book we get to know more about Touko's mysterious past. In the previous book, it foreshadowed Touko's secrets and the things she was keeping from Konoha. It is brought into light in this volume and the next. Ryoto plays a more serious role in this volume too.
I really like all the fluffy sweet moments between Touko and Konoha (I'm shipping these two totally! ^_^)
In these volumes, Konoha's relationship between Kotobuki and Touko are put into the test, rising the tension.
Should Miu Inoue continue writing novels?
I'm going to read the next volume now! Ja ne!~

Two years by Tohko's side, slowly being healed by his president, and Konoha never expected to be betrayed by her; or to betray her. As he digs deeper he discovers just how must he doesn't know about Tohko and her life outside of the book club. Why does she live with Ryuto's family? Just who is Ryuto to her anyway? Holding closely to Kotobuki, Konoha walks toward the narrow gate that could leave both him and Tohko torn apart.

Got to half of this book and dropped it. I just couldn't stand Tohko and Ryuto, both were highly annoying and pushing Konoha every time. Konoha wasn't helping either, but this is the first time I dropped a book from this series. Too bad that I already pre-ordered the next book and can't cancel. Oh well, at least the series will be complete, but yeah. Dropped.

Lần này là câu chuyện về tuyến nhân vật chính. Nhưng không hiểu sao tôi thấy diễn biến quá dài dòng. Nhân vật cũng không phát triển nhiều chủ yếu là sống trong quá khứ và lo ngại tương lai.
Nhưng sẽ chờ tập cuối.
