The protagonist of the story is Ingrid Addison. She is studying in high school. Story has been set up in Connecticut. She got offer from a good private school where the kids of rich people studies. She struggles between difficult parents and to survive in the new school. This book reminded me of series like Glimore girl or any other series that are based on high school drama. Like there is glamour everywhere, disrespectful teachers, rivalry between teenagers etc. Read the book to unfold further plot like how she survives everything.
It’s a huge book, so it took me time to finish it. The book is complete package of the story. It took me time to get familiar with the names as story isn’t based on India and author has used different names. After a while I have read story based on a teenage’s life. Teenage life and mindset is difficult on it’s own like to focus on career, be independent on your own while solving issues and to fit in society or home. This book has covered all the issues. Like everyone want to look glamorous or be popular or at least everyone want to survive peacefully. And parent’s support is most important in it. I am not familiar with their culture but I have watched movies and series so I can relate this book. Overall I can conclude that the plot is unique. It’s written in well elaborated manner. Author has used good vocabulary and language. And on top of that I like the narration style of the author. I felt like watching a movie and every struggle and incident I could feel. So hats off to that. I liked all the twists and turns plotted. Overall this book is a complete package. It’s a good one.

The story of Ingrid, a girl born with a silver spoon is all set to join Crissborne William school. She is excited not because its a good school but it comes as an escape route from her family she finds irritating.
But is it what she really wants?
Is her experience in the school as good as she expected?

She makes some hood friends in the school but are they really good?
And above all her love interest James Weatherley?
Does her dreams of going to new school come true?
The book has all the answers.
First of all I had not expected such a commendable work from a teenage girl. The plot is a perfect chic-lit material.Bitchy friends, a neglecting boyfriend, snooty teachers and all the drama in a teenager's life is penned down impeccably. The language is lucid and eloquent.
It took me little time to get a hang of it as tge characters and place settings are different from what I normally read but once I settled down with the book, it was entertaing.
My only issue with the book was font size that really os eye straining.
Overall the book is an entertaing read. It will take you back to your school days and make you nostalgic.

Review:
Personally I feel this book re-ignites the school memories and the characters are quite relatable indeed. The plot is interesting because oftentimes the situations discussed in the book do arise but all that matters is solving them and moving forward. The author @thesahanarudra has done a wonderful job. The cover designing could be improved quite a lot though.

The opening quotes really set a positive mood to reading the book:

If all the world, hated you and believed you wicked, while your own conscience approved you, and absolved you from guilt, you would not be without friends.
- Charlotte Bronte

You can dance in a hurricane, but only if you're standing in the eye.
- Unknown

A really well written plot. Enjoyed it.

School Ties

This is a story of girl name Ingrid. Ingrid's parents are too rich. She had a lot of dreams about her new school. But she forcibly get admission in Crissborne Williams School by her parents opinion.

When Ingrid enter in her new school on first day, she get feared to see the environment of school. No one was behaving well, talking well. There are no one who following the rules. The principle rule like dictator.

Author told the story by the perspective of Ingrid. Where Ingrid told us the journey of her school. Where she get friends, her relations with her teachers and principle.

She mention her memories of enjoyment and sadness with the emotions of love and hate. How she played pranks and other things.

The language is simple and good. The book is written by Sahana Rudra a 14 year old girl.
Cover is good. Title is good.

School Ties by Sahana Rudra is a story about Ingrid Addison, a high society girl with a difficult family. She receives her acceptance letter to the Crissborne Williams School, one of the most elite private schools in her country. At her school she befriends James Weatherley, the good guy with a bad reputation. Everything cannot be sunshine and rainbows. Things come trembling down for Ingrid eventually. The question is how she survives when everyone is against her including her partner in crime James.

I started this book without any expectations but surprisingly I had fun reading it. It is a typical teenage drama. It makes you somewhat nostalgic too. The writing style is pretty good and I finished the book in no time. A little editing is needed as there are continuity errors. Apart from that there were few other mistakes too but nothing too distracting.

Overall I enjoyed it. It was a light read and I would recommend it.

This book has an average cover design, and it has really small font size which makes it hard to read as it strains the eyes. Coming to the story line, it's story of Ingrid Addison, a girl with the difficult family. Story is set in Westford , Connecticut. Ingrid is desperate to get away from her family and her acceptance letter from Crissborne Williams School makes it possible. She is on cloud nine but her dream comes crashing down when reality hits her. It's a good Sunday read . For me, it was a one time read, as it fails to leave a lasting impression. It has a decent storyline and characters with a good narration style. Overall it was a good experience.

I loved it how the author narrated the story and dialogues. The storytelling process is really good. Some characters could have been a little bit more better but overall it's really good. School ties I a teenage girl Ingrid's story. It shows a detailed view of girl's life in school and complications between different aspects of life. Love, friendship , study etc are the key elements of a students life and managing these thinga are quite difficult when everything is going not well. This story short around a town Westford, Connecticut . Protagonist Ingrid Addison, gets admission in Crissborne Williams School, one of the most exclusive private schools in the United States, Ingrid's nature is like a frantic girl. No worries. Have all fun moments in life.
.
When she gets admission there and after joining the school she feels not comfortable with environment. There she met James Weatherley, an interesting guy. The character of james is like a free minded guy. The nature of Ingrid and james is quite matching, so bond between them is much more stronger. There she made other friends also.
.
Here we can see the environment of a typical school. Rules, regulations, breaking of rules and all the fun students have. Despite this, all elements of friendship and feelings.
.
When someone is heartily attached to other then it is hard to manage things between these types of relations. Same things happens with Ingrid and her life oscillates between friendships and relations.
.
As I observed, the story is completely represent a teenage life. It follows the same path where ever teenage girl/boy traverse.
The main themes is to pictures the inner conflicts of teen age. Generally I like these type of stories but at some places story looks slow and it ruined the flow. Also a little bit lengthy. For simplicity it can be more precise at some points.
.
Overall it *can be* a good read for teenage fiction readers.

It's a story about a high society teenage girl who was lucky enough to get into the most exclusive private schools in the United States. Her excitement lowered gradually when she found herself struggling to fit into the atmosphere. The story revolves around her school life, love, friendship, study and other problems which we all face in our adolescence. It gives the pleasure of revisiting those days when life was not that much complex.
The story explains the emotional turmoil of a teenage girl in detail.
I liked the story. The writing style was good but a bit slow. The author could have been a bit precise in a few parts.
Also the cover of the book could be more meaningful and related to the story.

Book Title: School Ties
Author: Sahana Rudra
Format: Kindle

Book Title:
The title of the book ' School Ties ' is nostalgic and transcending.

Book Cover:
The cover image of the book is a pictorial illustration of the usual stuff used by a student.

My review:
The book is the story of Ingrid, a girl from an elite class of the society who shifts from a public school to the most prestigious private school, Crissborne Williams School. The initial days of her admission, her ties with the new members in the school, her quest for friends, her connections with the fellow school people, her love interests and her emotional fights are what one part of the story is. The other part introduces the readers with James, the male protagonist who also happens to be Ingrid's male partner. Later the story talks about their relationship, the issues they face. Also, the future of these people along with many things included are explained.

The book is a onetime read and many places are quite relatable.

What I like:
1. A unique setting of the story with non-Indian names of the places and characters.
2.The usually used nomenclature in the USA which when used in the story gives the reader a different yet thrilling feeling.
3. The psychological factors that generally create many unpleasant situations amongst young adults are described well.
4. The usual bonding of friendship and early romance are illustrated realistically.
5. Those quotes that popped up while during each chapter's progress looked nice.

What I didn't like:
The length of the story is a concern.

Characters:
All the characters in the story are very realistic and evolving.

Narration:
The narration is found quite eventful with many twists and surprises as every page unfolds.

Language & Grammar:
A colloquial English language with good vocabulary is found in the story.

My Final Verdict:
Young adult's journey of an exciting life

An Overloaded High School Drama!

TITLE : School Ties

AUTHOR : Sahana Rudra

GENRE : Fiction

LANGUAGE : English

LENGTH : 238 pages

FORMAT : Kindle

PUBLICATION : BigFoot Publications Pvt. Ltd.

Blurb & A Short Review :

"School Ties" is all about the same old high school drama we are used to watching and reading frequently which is set in Westford, Connecticuts, an elite town in USA brimming with Cotillions, elite clubs and other things that are quite enough to spice a story up. The main protagonist, Ingrid Addison, a high society girl gets admitted to one of the reputed private schools in the USA, named the Crissborne Williams School. Slowly she gets addicted to the sophisticated and glamorous background of the school. Then comes her introduction with James Weatherly, a good guy with a bad reputation and her friendship with him turns deep when he becomes her partner in crime. But after a period of time, destiny tests their bond and the entire scenario changes to 360° opposite. This is how the plot works on a high school drama background.

Without much revealing, I directly suggest the readers to grab the copy of this book and read to know more. Coming to the vocabulary and language part which are almost flawless and easily adaptable. The plot and the storyline are quite slow-placed which in my opinion, could have been much better to prevent it from being dragged and boring. Author has done a good narration part to overcome the dizziness of the storyline as much as possible. I didn't find any error in developing the characters, so it was good enough.

Now comes the title of the book, which almost suits the story but the cover could have been more impressive to catch readers instantly.

It was overall a dramatic one time read.

My Rating:

Ultimate nostalgic question:
Do you remember any incident/song from your school days that makes you feel nostalgic for the place?
🍁
First things first, the blurb is wonderfully crafted and so is the plot.
🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
Talking about the plot, this book inscribes the story of a teenager high society girl Ingrid Addison, who has difficult parents and so she wants to go out of the life that was assigned to her. She receives her acceptance letter to the most exclusive private school of US, where she meets her partner in crime James Weatherley, a good guy with bad reputation. But eventually everything starts getting worse. Her friends seem to have more and more tension between they and her teachers whisper about her behind her back. What happens when James starts ignoring her? What happens when everyone seems to be uniting for the first time only, they’re joining against her?
🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
Suhana despite being a teenager did a commendable job. Her work made me nostalgic and I absolutely enjoyed reading such typical school drama after a very long time.
▪️
The plot seemed very interesting and can easily keep the readers glued to the book.
▪️
The character development through the story was undoubtedly strong.
▪️
The language was lucid and the vocabulary was sophisticated.
▪️
The title is apt to the storyline and the cover of the book looks beautiful.
▪️
Honestly speaking, I was bit disappointed with the font size used in this book as it bothered my reading experience to some extent.
▪️
Apart from this, there were few grammatical errors here and there which I think can be ignored while reading this intriguing plot.
▪️
Overall it was a good read for me.
▪️
If you are looking for some light nostalgic read, then you are on the right post.
Do read this book and enjoy reading.

SCHOOL TIES by Sahana Thakur Rudra
.
📚 MY REVIEW:
.
The cover of the book is very very simple. The title is so good and it's very nostalgic. School days are something which everyone wishes for and misses even after years. So title is good but readers including me can be disappointed by the cover. But then cover is something which can be changed at later time what we must pay attention is the story and the plot.
.
The plot of the book is good. What I loved the most in the book was the setting of the book. The setting of this story is in Westford. The story line is nice and interesting.  Story revolves around the protagonist girl, who is Ingrid Addison, a high society girl. She receives her acceptance letter to the Crissborne Williams School, one of the most exclusive private schools in the United States, Ingrid is ecstatic. The glitz and the glamor of it all is almost overwhelming. The places are beautifully described. It feels like visiting this place once in lifetime.
.
Later on in the book a guy too joins her and the story continues. The story is interesting. It's nostalgic. I too got many memories from my school days. The language is very lucid, easy and understandable. I enjoyed reading it. Narration is perfect and we can find a nice use of vocabulary here.
.
The plot is very simple. Its straightforward. The characters are developed brilliantly. The story is truly based on the relationship between students at school. To keep the readers hooked to the book, there are some twists in the tale. Everyone's gonna really enjoy it.

School Ties is a book written by a 12year old Sahana Rudra.

School Ties is a boarding school teenage drama set in Westford Connecticut. The plot revolves around Ingrid Addison. Ingrid, a high society girl just gets accepted to Crissborne Williams school, one of the most exclusive pvt school in New England. When she gets there, she sees that the teachers are rude and unfriendly... that the headmistress Ms. Irene Starkey is bad and rules like a dictator. Ingrid makes best friends with Lynnette, Anais and Sarah and a good guy with bad reputation James Weatherley. Ingrid and James went on to become the talk of the boarding school. They were partners in crime. They fought they patched up. But most importantly they were in love with each other which they realised only later. Everything was going smoothly when one day things turned bad. Her friends seems to have more and more tension between them. What happens when she cheats on her boyfriend with james? What happens when even james starts ignoring her?

#myreview - Coming from a 12year old i must say the book is very well written. I felt as if i was reading a book written by a foreign author. As i said it's a boarding school teenage drama. Its a cute story about friendships and love. It written so maturely and that makes it engaging enough. The author has a way with the words. I loved the funny conversations between James and Ingrid. Altogether it was an excellent read. The only thing i didn't like is the small letters which strained my eyes. I also feel that the book cover could have been much much better.

Review-
🌀 Do you miss school? Friends, classmates, the fun we used to do together with them. Those bonds wer so pure, right! Tag your schoolmates in the comments and tell them how much they mean to you. 😉
.
🌀 School Ties, written by Sahana Rudra at a young age of 14 year, is a adventure of Ingrid Addison with her friends in Crissborne Williams School. The story starts with Ingrid starting the school in Crissborne and with her “partner-in-crime” James Weatherly. But what would happen if this fell apart, basically James started ignoring Ingrid and Ingrid was all confused and didn’t understand the reason.
.
🌀 Sahana despite being very young has a great vocabulary and knows how to portrait a scene in a very subtle way. I liked the description of the scenes, it creates a very great mental picture of the surrounding. I liked the story, it is gripping and happening. It gives a nostalgic feeling of school which makes everthong more exciting.

This book is mainly based on school life and it's experiences.
This book is written by a 14 year old girl.

Starting from the cover, it's simple.
Title is too catchy.

Ingrid Addison, a high society girl receives her acceptance letter to the Crissborne Williams School, one of the most exclusive private schools in the United States. When she gets there though, she sees that the teachers are disrespectful and the Principal, Irene Starkey, rules the school like a dictator. Nothing is how she expected it to be.

Now James Weatherley, the good guy with a bad reputation, and more specifically, Ingrid’s partner in crime.

The writing style is pretty good.

Although being this young, the author has structured the book beautifully.

This book will take you to your school days and will make you remember each part of it.

Story revolves around Ingrid Addison,a high society girl who had issues with her parents, she wants to be free from the life she was living.
Set-up of plot is in Westford, Connecticut which is famous for elite clubs and rich people.
Ingrid receives her letter which states that she had been accepted into Crissborne Williams School, which is one of the best Schools in the United States. When she steps into the school the scenario is different, the teachers are disrespectful, students undisciplined. She gets her partner in crime in James who is a good guy but had a bad reputation. All was going smooth with Ingrid enjoying her school life with James and her best friends. Suddenly,
Tension grows between her friends, their bonds are tested, to add in that James starts ignoring her. What next?
.
.
It's a high school teenage drama, revolving around friends, bonds of friendship, relationships.
I read a teenage drama after a long time, so I enjoyed reading it. It's quite a simple and predictable story. Non-Indian names,Non-Indian places, made the story interesting rather than the same typical Indian stories. The story makes one feel nostalgic about school life and relieves some of school memories. Plot is fast paced with good narration. Story is dragged a little bit, which made it a little boring in the beginning but after it was a good read. Those who love reading teenage dramas, fictional stories can try these one. Overall, it was a good read.

Cover - Cover of the book is simple but I received the book in not so Good condition.

Language - Language of the book is simple and lucid.

Narration - Narration of the book is Smooth.

I don't like the font size use in the book as it is too small to read specially the font size use in the blurb written in the back side of the book. I personally read the blurb first before starting the book but for this I was not able to read the blurb due to eyesight problem.

If all the world, hated you and believed you wicked, while your own conscience approved you, and absolved you from guilt, you would not be without friends.
- Charlotte Bronte

You can dance in a hurricane, but only if you're standing in the eye.
- Unknown

The book opens up with these two quotes which basically sets up the mood of the whole book.

The events in this book takes place in Westford, Connecticut, a town brimming with Cotillions, elite clubs and playground for high school drama.

In comes our main protagonist, Ingrid Addison, a high society girl, who is starting her school year in The Crissborne Williams School, one of the most expensive private schools in USA. It is quite natural to say that she is overwhelmed with this sortvif grand and glamorous setting.

Then comes James Weatherly, the good guy with a bad reputation. They had become beat of friends, partners in crime but what would happen when problems start arising and their bond was put on test.

The stituation becomes even more problematic when James starts ignoring her and everyone in her school teams up against her.
What would she do?
Read to find out.

MY OPINION:
•The cover of the book can be improved.
•The plot of the book is simple and quite straightforward.
•The characters are well developed.
•The language is quite lucid.

Final Rating: 3.5/5

The cover is so appealing. It is an image of a Black Board with some books and pencil crayons on the top of books, along with a ruler.
It's so simple, yet so perfect for the plot.

The title is so perfect for the story as the plot begins with change of school for the protagonist.

"Welcome to hell. Enjoy your stay."
The Blurb ended on this note, which made me pick this novel.

The blurb is quite unique, which made it more interesting.

The plot begins with change of school for our protagonist Ingrid. The story is based in America. But it had that Indian touch to the story. At times, I felt like the story is actually based in Delhi.

The narration is addictive in nature, and plot brought all the memories back from school. It was so strong.

Once you start reading, you will feel that this is actually some real story. The author has done pretty good job with the characterization and engagement of the story. The love story of James and Ingrid was mesmerizing.

I would recommend it to everyone looking to read and get lost in the memories of their own childhood, their school time.

Supp homies.. hope so this corona time is keeping us free from routine and making us busy with things we wanted to lately.. So now let's get going with a new review.. School ties🏫👨‍🏫
Ingrid - little girl of those high society aunties. Is setting off to a life experience -- school ,all the genuine battles we went through in school from the first day.. it's been quite a while since I got into a teenage drama and each minute reading the book I got nostalgic about my school, exquisite recollections.. thankyou, @thesahanarudra (a youthful creator) for giving us those wonderful memories of my(our) school days.
This book is an ideal young ladies dairy, with a cocky seniors, creepy batch mates and a guy interest.. language kept basic. Likewise, I can say the book looked liberally appealing and writer truly worked admirably holding the plot in the bunch. The main issue with the book is the font size were extremely small to read and more often I needed to strain my eyes.
The most surprising thing was the author herself is a teenager. That could have been the reason too for her to bring such crisp and genuine feelings and sentiments of a young person into her writing. **Applause..👏👏
Excellent crafting and wonderful imagination made this book a real-time and must read.

"School ties" by Suhana Rudra is a story of a high society girl Ingrid Addison residing from a rich family. She is accepted in Chrisborne William School, one of the most elite private schools in US. She felt completely different on the very first day of the school where everyone is a rich lad there. The principal is Iris Starkey who is like a dictator and rules the school according to her own way. She is able to overcome her loneliness in school after meeting James and starts nurturing feelings for him.
✔️Now the question is that what affect this will have on their friendship?
✔️Is her experience in school is as good as she had expected?
✔️When everything is getting bad in Ingrid's life, how is she able to survive?
In order of find the answer read the book.
✨It feels nostalgic as it takes you back to the school days where there is friendship, strict teachers, rules and regulations, teenage love story, overthinking of the students, and teenage emotions.
✨ This book is of 169 pages published by Bigfoot Publications. Dramas of teenage life shown in the book is very captivating. All in all a very good read as it takes us back to the old school life. The language is lucid and the cover is attracting the readers to read the 'School ties.'

The book is a typical high school American teenage drama set in Connecticut. And the story revolves around a girl, Ingrid Addison and her school life. Ingrid Addison, she makes friends and for the first time, everything seems to be perfect. But chinks in the armor start to surface when bonds are tested.

This book was a breath of fresh air. It was light and airy as it was deep and thoughtful. The author has narrated the school life and the troubles faced by the students in a very evocative manner that it seems to be like watching a movie. I liked the quotes in the starting of the book. Language and the writing style is impressive.

Characters are very well developed and described by the author.

Overall a recommended read. Grab the book and enjoy the school life.
