4 Perpetually Horny Stars ⭐

Without being crass, if you're a fan of porn but prefer it with a story line, here it is peeps. I picked this book up on a whim, and I am grateful that my bullet was charged. Because holy shit was this novella hot. I mean three best friends lowering ALL their inhibitions and going for it? What a gorgeous menage.

It's been 5 years since Ethan, Jake and Janie have been rooming together. The boys have been quite promiscuous whereas Janie is more a relationship kind of gal.

After a recent break up that has Janie questioning her sexuality, her besties are providing her with the best form of recovery. Truth or Dare over far too many drinks. And I don't believe that any of them expected the outcome.

"Janie, you are not a freak. Think about it. Guys get off watching two girls together all the time, why shouldn't it turn you on seeing two guys together?"

For the smuttiest of stories I've read in a long while, I really liked it. I loved the interaction between these three and lack of judgement.

"I have something very important to tell you Janie."

I could tell he was playing, "Oh this should be good."

"Ethan wants me to fuck him tonight while you sit on his face."

From exploring ones fantasy, self discovery and forever love, you'll not be prepared for what's within this book based on the cover. Fuck societies standards. 🔥🔥

ME: "Hmmm, I really liked this author's 'Gilcrest University Guys' M/M series, so let me give her MMF story a try."

ALSO ME (shortly thereafter):

So off my Gold Star Gay ass trotted (it wasn't a flounce, shut up!), straight to my Calibre app, where I immediately did a mass search & replace of a few choice "lady bit" words to something that I could more happily read. : )

One post-edit example:
It was completely quiet and everyone was breathing hard. Ethan said, “Janie, pull up your skirt, I want to see your fingers on your *NOPE*.”

She let out a little moan and moved her skirt out of the way. I watched her middle finger rubbing her *NOPE*.

And after that bit of squeamishness had been eradicated, just like a big ole' magic *POOF*, my enjoyment of the novella increased ten-fold, at least. I was actually shocked at how much I did end up getting into the story, TBH.

Both Ethan and Janie had a few insecurities to work though, but I thought that Jake was a freaking rock star friend and boyfriend. Confident, without being too cocky, tender and caring. Definitely the type of guy anyone would love to date.

However, be ready for all 3 MC's being guilty of the overuse of superlatives, as they repeat phrases like the following a whole lotta times.
“I know I keep saying this, but that was the most amazing thing I’ve ever felt.”

Yes, a finger in your bum can feel crazy-good, but after hearing that something was The Best or The Most for the eleventy-seventh time, it's kinda like when my Mamaw said "that's the best thing I've ever eaten" about whatever was in her mouth at that moment.

We got it, it's good, move along, ladies.

One thing that disappointed me slightly was that there wasn't at least one scene on-page with only Jake and Ethan playing all by themselves. They did "do everything", with gusto, even; however, Janie was there with them every single time, which felt an itty bit as if they were using her as a shield for their very gay acts.

Also, the point of mentioning that they were rugby players was completely under-utilized. I mean, come on, give me at least a little jock strap / uniform play, right? That would've been hot. ;- )

Not that the story was lacking for steam. It definitely was the furthest from that. But a guy can still be greedy about wanting something important enough to be mentioned in the blurb to be used, you know?

The level of angst was super-low, and the emotions felt pretty real, but Ethan's unrealistic part, was kinda... W-O-W. Although I did really like that they didn't have to live out their dreams.

The story did end with a very happy HEA, and I'd rate it at around 4 stars -- after getting rid of hundreds of references to "The P word".

★4 Stars★

This book came at the right time...It was funny and so hot. Thru the book were some moments were the characters and the story was way to fictional or unrealistic, but for me, it was a great read. The book tells the story of three best friends, roommates, one girl and two boys.

Imagine similară

Janie thinks she is happy with her actual boyfriend, they've been together over a year now, so she thinks the only way their relationship can go is further, marriage, family, and kids. Her sex life is not so good, but she thinks that is her fault, that she is a freak in the sack.

Ethan and Jake are best friends from middle school, now rugby players and roommates. Five years ago they needed a new roommate and they brought Janie along because the clicked instantly. They became best friends since. They tell each other everything. Of course, through the five years of that friendship, they were attracted to each other, but no one made a move. Their friendship was more important than anything...Till one night that changes everything...Truth or Dare?

Imagine similară

Janie is down after her boyfriend broke up with her, and so the guys need to build her up and make her see the truth. I am going to stop right here and not going to tell you more.

What am I going to tell is that I wanted more. Not more hot scenes with them, no, those are plenty, I wanted some drama, maybe some suspense, something important to happen...

But...In the end, it was a great easy read and hot as the sun!

“I finally felt free—I didn’t feel weird about how much I liked sex and I didn’t feel weird about what turned me on, because they wanted the same things.”

I love me a good ménage. Especially when we experience the FIRST of everything with them. Yummy.

This super steamy romance was impossible for me to put down. It might have been short, but was very sweet and managed to hit all the right buttons for me. It had so many of my favorite elements. Friends to lovers, contemporary, M/M, M/F, and a lot of variations to make up the very passionate relationship between the three main characters. All three had different personalities and all worked well together. They have been best friends for years when everything changes and you can tell they have a really strong friendship and love and respect for each other. As the story progresses they bring out things in each other and themselves that they hadn't really considered before. They have struggles and big decisions to make and deal with the consequences of. But in the end everything came together so perfectly. I truly enjoyed reading this story and wouldn't hesitate to pick up more from this new author.

Janie, Jake & Ethan are best friends & roommates. They’re finishing up their Masters degrees and on the verge of starting the rest of their lives.

One night, Janie’s boyfriend suddenly decides they’re not working out. So Janie goes home to drown her sorrows. But she didn’t plan on her smokin’ hot roommates to be home on a Friday night.

Jake & Ethan both want their gorgeous roommate Janie and are more than happy to help her over her heartache. So what happens when a game of Truth or Dare opens doors to the three of them that they never planned on? A raging inferno of unrequited lust that goes every which way but loose. Ethan & Jake do their best to show Janie just how beautiful she is. But they didn’t count on the feelings that would develop between themselves as well.

Janie, Jake & Ethan are stunning together. The developing love and deep seated friendship between all of them is stunning to watch unfurl. I thoroughly loved this story.

I wanted more scenes between them outside the bedroom. I also didn’t like that they were all about casual sex and she only fucked two guys in her life, she stayed 3 years without sex and then found a bf that didn’t give her orgasms aghhh why the fuck she couldn’t have fuck around like them. Also, they told their teammates that she was off limites while they fuck around because their friends wasn’t good enough for her which I hate it. But she did have tones of other options in college so okay I can deal with that but fuck it why the fuck did you write about a single woman in her 20ies that doesn’t have sex ahhhh why she didn’t enjoy college like they did? They used to bring girls home and even swap girls after fucking then and she was celibate ahhhhhhhh
I love it that the three of them were together like in all ways, like the guys was not only one with her but with each other

FIVE STARS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I understand that this is M. E. Parker’s debut book. I love love love MMF Contemporary Romance with HEA. Roommates was Great. I never could have guessed this was the author’s first....Well Done Ms. Parker!!

The three main characters were sweet and funny. The attraction was smoking and their chemistry was steaming. I liked the way the ballsy personalities of the guys was balanced by their softer side. I liked that Jaine was independent and loved them without being weak or needy.

I enjoyed the fact that each character’s point of view was explored, this added depth to the story.

The sex was sizzling, and I have read plenty of hot MMF, so again I say “Well done”.

If you want a sweet MMF story with HEA then you must add this book to your collection.

Oh this was a fun, quick, very sexy read.

A short sweet novella where three roommates begin a relationship after 5 yrs of living together.

My only complaints (if you can really call it that), is it felt all to joyful and the amount of sex in a short amount of time didn't seem plausible.

I just came off a very angsty book where my emotions were all over the place and a book hangover was happening and I usually go for a quick fun read right after and this fit the bill, but it just felt to happy. I was a bit bummed by the ending until the epilogue. These are the types of epilogues I LOVE and CRAVE.

This is all going to be spoilers cause there’s not an extensive plot ...

So this is really kinda sweet and I’m a sucker for truth or dare and friends to lovers and MMF HEA’s so this is in my wheelhouse for sure. Does it seem like all of a sudden these three immediately want to get married because they had some really good sex? Maybe, but if it turns out that your two best friends want to share you and are really good at sex, well people get hitched for worse reasons. Ok, the pacing is a little off. Even some of the sex gets yada yada yada’d and the HEA after gets the, “but wait there’s more treatment” [total spoiler: surprise billionaire reveal! Everyone get even happier!].

Why quibble? If you’re looking for a good hearted quick one handed MMF read just go with it and don’t worry - be happy for a minute. You can always follow it up with a romance book about the mafia or love found in the mental asylum or whatever the dark erotic read of the month is.

Roommates is a standalone novella. I can’t believe this is M.E Parker’s debut novel. I will definitely be following this author. Sometimes I just need a quickie and this was an extremely hot one.

Three best friends. Two men. One woman. One crazy and wild night that changes everything.

Janie comes home their apartment to find her two best friends, Jake and Ethan. They are usually out on a Friday night picking up their next conquests. She thought she would come home a quiet place to cry into her pillow about her break-up. Instead she comes home to open arms, a bottle of tequila, and a naughty game of truth or dare.

Both Jake and Ethan have wanted Janie since they showed up at their apartment five years ago. They were friend-zoned. The three of them have been close ever since. Jake and Ethan have been best friends since they were twelve and they have never fought over a girl and they wouldn’t start now. Janie was attracted to them both but wouldn’t go there. Until now.

One unexpected night turns into something more than they ever imagined. But Janie refuses to be one of their sluts. She also knows if they want to continue what they are doing, it can’t last forever. What will happen when feelings get involved? Can they truly have it all?

Wow! This story might be short but it has it all. Friendship. Love. Emotions. Laughter. Heat. Extreme heat. Once I started, I didn’t want to stop. I felt the tingles. I felt connection.

Overall...what an amazing debut!! I am looking forward to what is up next from this author.

“I have to admit—I’ve never, oh my god, I don’t know.” They laughed together and Jake joked, “well said, Janiebug.”

“Oh my god Jake, how can you be such a bastard and so sweet all at the same time?”
He smirked at her, “It’s just a gift.”

“Jesus Jake. First, I didn’t suggest that, you did. And second, we’re eating dinner for christ’s sake!”

Sinfully hot and endearingly sweet

Roommates is the debut novel by M.E. Parker. I was approached by this talented writer, who asked me to read and review this book, she even provided me with a complimentary copy so I could get started right away. Within the first 10% of the book I was hooked and I decided to purchase the book myself!

This is a standalone easy and steamy love story about the journey from roommates to lovers between Jake, Ethan and Janie.

Can one night really change your life? Well for these three roommates it can! When Janie is dumped by her douche bag uptight boyfriend she turns to her best friends, Ethan and Jake for support. It turns out that alcohol and a drunken game of Truth or Date is exactly what all three needed.

I’ve read quite a few different books in the M/M/F genre and though I’ve enjoyed the majority of them, this one goes straight to the top of the list! Why? Because I LOVE that there’s no unnecessary drama and heartache.

So if you’re in the mood for a steamy read, please do yourself a favour and pick up a copy.

Not Impressed

I was asked to read and review this story and to be honest, i was a bit disappointed.

Normally, ménage romances don’t appeal to me much, and I’ve read some really, really, naughty ones, but this one just didn’t do it for me. The characters were bland, the plot was weak, and the overall story was a bit rushed.

It’s cute that everyone eventually fell in love, but it seemed as if it was rushed. I just felt the chemistry and attraction between all three adults were stale. The sex scenes were fun to read, but the author seemed to be all over the place with it. It was getting confusing about what what the characters were actually doing.

The writing style was also basic, almost elementary. I had high expectations for this book and I hate if I’m coming off as mean, but these are just my honest opinions. I don’t think I’ll read a second time though.

First time I have read this author, and I absolutely loved this book. Janie could be any college girl, she is sweet, hard working and full of self doubt about about sex. After a break up that left her with more self doubt and anxiety, she thought something was wrong with her. Home for Janie was an apartment that she shared with her two best friends Jake and Ethan. They all were each other's best friends. A night of drinking and truth or dare opened up the door for sexual self discovery for all three of them. Awesome book that brings best friends to lovers and more, to be able to live their lives in the open and to love each other forever.

"Ethan Janie Jake Forever"
There is hot and there is freaking smoking hot! These "Roommates" took it up another notch from there!

Excellent characters - I appreciate the multiple POV's, especially Ethan and Jake! The Author nailed it! I love how quickly and smoothly they transitioned to lovers from friends. It was written very well.

Perfect in length, not over dramatic and no long drawn out bomb explosion that just didn't need to be in this type of love story. Except in the bedroom and on the couch...

It was sweet, funny and I look forward to reading more from this new Author Mary Esther Parker, if you are hunting for her in Amazon

This was a cute read! It was really refreshing to feel like all three of them were actually friends in addition to lovers, and I was glad there was a lot of talk about boundaries and respect between the three of them. Not always the way in this genre. The sex scenes were a little hard to follow, and I wish the three of them had had more distinct characterization sometimes - but overall this was a good read.

Roommates is the debut novel by M.E. Parker and I have just added her to my list of authors to follow. This story is fast, funny, sexy and off the charts hot! But it's not just a story about sex for the sake of sex. The story is interesting and it kept my attention from the start until the last word. Janie, Jake and Ethan have been roommates and best friends for five years. They have never crossed the line from friendship. Janie was attracted to them from the first time she met them, but they were best friends and she would never be able to pick. Ethan and Jake were also both attracted to Janie, but neither was going to give the green light to go after her, so…friends it is! Until one night after an uncomfortable break-up, Janie comes home to find Jake and Ethan there. Strange for a Friday night considering their player ways. They decided to drink and talk to help her through it and that turns into a very steamy game of truth and dare. They do an admit things they never thought they would, but it's not awkward and it's not wrong. But the next day doesn’t leave them with regrets or thoughts of never wanting to do that again. Instead they want to try. To all be together. But what does that even look like? What will people think? They fall into an easy relationship that only best friends can have. It's fun, incredibly sexy and it seems to be moving faster than any of them could imagine. What happens when it goes from physical to emotion so quickly? Can they make it work or save the friendship? I really enjoyed this story. It was a great debut novel and I'm looking forward to more by M.E. Parker.

"I'm going to bed. You two are dangerous."

"Baby, you haven't seen dangerous yet."

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review. This is a story about three platonic friends who have been living together for five years. Jake and Ethan are heterosexual best friends, rugby teammates and roommates. Jane is their roommate who has just been dumped by her boyfriend of one year. When Ethan and Jake see how distraught Janie is, they try to get the story our of her. Several beers and shots later the evening turns into a game of sexual truth or dare. After Janie explains an event she witnessed in her office, the day before, both Ethan and Jake are surprised that the story didn’t turn them off, in fact, the opposite effect happened. What started out light hearted sexual teasing soon turns torrid as the game continues. What I truly enjoyed about this book was that their was no Alpha in sight. Both men were equal. There was no sexual choreographer or manipulator. My only problem with this book was I never knew who was where..lol. The intimate scenes were confusing. Secondly, the continued use of @#$&tard was off putting to me.

So glad to have a new menace that has a reasonable story line, that includes emotions creating the sexual bonds. It is lightweight and simple and sweet. Hopefully Parker will explore this type of relationship in further depth in the future.

The Cliff’s Notes version of a book. Everything is rushed, the characters have no personality and Janie won’t stop giggling. The writing is juvenile, however the sex scenes are quite hot, so there is that. If you’re looking for steam without any emotional baggage this might do.

Roommates by M.E. Parker
Five Stars

Roommates is the debut book from M.E. Parker. This book is hot and steamy. I couldn’t put it down. Ms. Parker is officially added to my TBR list and I’m looking forward to reading more from her in the future. This MMF was a great friends to lovers that flowed smoothly from start to finish. It is sizzling hot and Janie, Jake and Ethan make a smooth transition from friend to lovers with a little game of truth or dare. I love the plot because it is not just hot sex it has substance. It really takes work to make a relationship work especially if there are three. Highly recommended!

Wonderful MMF romance

What a great book! I would never have guessed this was a debut novella. It was well written, interesting, and deliciously steamy. I loved the interaction and relationships between Janine, Jake, and Ethan. It was balanced and real. I really liked how the guys’ relationship was equally important in every day and not just the bedroom. What a great MMF story and I will definitely be adding M.E. Parker to my author shortlist. I highly recommend.
I requested and received an arc copy of this book. I also read again via subscription. This is my voluntary, true, and honest opinion.
