He can't resist her. She can't refuse him. Lies will rip them apart. As enforcer of the Desert Rebels Cole's job is to protect his MC. As a favor to a friend they take in a young woman who they think is trying to escape a crazy ex. But she's lying. When the truth comes out, so does trouble to the club. Cole wants Raven, but will their explosive attraction to one another be enough to overcome the deception, and give them both a chance at happiness?Excerpt Heart pounding, I panted breathlessly, "Cole! I'm-I'm not who you th-think I am!" I scraped his scalp with my nails, bowing sharply beneath his mouth. Oh, sweet Jesus, he was going to kill me with pleasure! Breathing hard, he pulled his mouth off my nipple and looked up at me with surprising clarity in his eyes, his dark expression stamped with raw arousal."I know exactly who you are," he grated hoarsely. "I've known since I pulled you beneath me."What? I took a second to process what he'd said, or to at least try. I was so turned on that it felt as if I were on some life-altering drug, and I was, in a way--I was high on Cole. "We-We can't do this," I whispered, while at the same time asking myself why it was that we couldn't.His grin was pure sex. "Looks like we are.""But . . . you thought I was someone else," I reminded him. "What about her?" He released a frustrated breath. "Can we talk about this later? I'm right in the middle of something." I was not going to be a convenient fill-in for another woman, no matter how turned on I was. No matter how hot Cole was. "Listen, jerk, when a man makes love to me, I'd at least like to know that he knows it's me he’s making love to."His body vibrated with laughter against me. "I don't make love, baby. I fuck." I felt a surge of anger in response to his flippant attitude."Well, then find someone else to fuck," I hissed, trying to wiggle out from beneath him. Cole was a big man, and he was heavy. Bumping my hips to try to force him to move proved to be a dumb move, because all it managed to do was reveal how fucking huge and hard his cock was. Cole grunted in response and dropped his head back onto my breasts. I began to wiggle wildly, afraid of where this was going. Afraid of myself. "Get off!""Jesus, wait a fucking minute, will you?" he growled as if he were in pain, pressing my body down to hold me still. I stilled. "I'll give you ten seconds." His mouth was against my breast, and the feel of his smile on my flesh caused a shiver to ripple through my body.*This MC romance contains explicit language, violence and sexual content not suitable for minors.

Coming soon! Book 3, Tank, in my The Biker Next Door series
Overall it wasn't that bad. It had some decent story telling at times but lost sight of it a bit whenever we had to deal with the MCs going on about their attraction to one another in their POV's. That's putting it nicely too considering the language and style of narrative was used for it.
I honestly think I disliked Raven more than Cole by the end of the book. The way the author wrote Raven felt sporadic and contrary. She was never just one thing personality wise, ya know? Oh sure she acted and spoke innocently in sexual matters but then can almost out dirty talk Cole?? And stutters her way through trying to say her and Cole fucked to Sax's ole lady Holly but can't even get the words out she's suddenly so shy or prudish? Ugh she was a mess.
Also I didn't even know their ages and tbh that's a pet peeve for me. And the amount of times the word "cum" was repeated once the sexing started was 🙄🙄🙄
It was entertaining but not a great read. I'm in a mood lately where I'm fine wasting my time reading books I consider trashy or not even well written because they're entertaining they're so bad, ya know? And this basically falls in that category.
Such an enjoyable read with a fascinating story line. I absolutely loved Cole and Raven’s book ❤️❤️❤️ everything you want and expect in an MC novel was written in these pages. Loved the jealous, scheming ways of one certain club girl lol 😂 she was never getting Cole as her man. They certainly had chaos and drama to deal with but overcame it all. As the Enforcer it was his job to protect his brothers and the women of the club and he was more than capable of doing this. This story kept me thoroughly entertained and I was sad when I came to the end, Cole and Raven are a match made in MC heaven. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
Cole & Raven’s story is raw, gritty and so explicitly sexy. I’m loving this new series I could not put Cole down, once again Tory Richards writes a story you just don’t read you become one with the characters and live it page by page. Can’t wait to read Demon next!
Awesome, from the first couple of pages I knew this was going to be a good read. It just drew me in and I couldn't put it down, if this is any indication of what's to come in the series, then we're in for a fabulous experience.
Raven is a witness to a murder and her mother, Rosie asks Moody, who in turn, asks Cole, the Enforcer with the Desert Rebels MC and his friend, to protect her, Rosie gives them a BS story about an ex stalking Raven as they don't want it to get out just in case the killers didn't see her. Cole senses that Raven is hiding something and it soon becomes apparent when there is a hit out on her that the killers know. There is jealousy in the clubhouse when a club girl takes a dislike to Raven because Cole is her guardian, an explosion and rival MC's, so as you can imagine this is action packed too. I can't wait to read the next book in the series which is the Prez, Demon's story.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
Made it like 80% of the way through this one and threw the towel in. I like lots of aspects of the story, and may read on in the series, but it was just all a bit cringe. It read like a bad porno. Don’t get me wrong I’m a big fan of the steamier books but they need to come with a relationship or something to back it up, and I just wasn’t getting that side here.
It’s such a high rated book and as I said I might continue other books in the series, so not going to rate it down, just not my cup of tea.
Cole is the first book in the Desert Rebels MC series. Although I believe these are standalone books, there are several characters that will have their own stories, and it may make it a better to have read these stories in order if you decide to continue the series. This is Cole and Raven's story.
Cole is the Desert Rebels MC Enforcer. His job is to protect his MC and he is good at it. He is no saint and does what he has to in order to do keep his brothers and the club safe. He is no stranger to the ladies either and will take what he can from the women who hang around the club for the sole purpose of satisfying the brothers. He has no desire to fall like a few of his brothers have and claim any woman as his old lady. When he gets a call from a friend with a request to keep a woman safe from her ex, he is hesitant, but loyalty and honor give him no other choice but to take her in. Now for the first time in his life he starts to wonder if he was wrong about what his friends have.
Raven has a secret and no one can find out the truth. It is a life-or-death situation, and her mother called in a favor to get her out of town and under protection. She can't tell anyone her real story and needs to ride out the time until the danger passes. Little does she expect the rough and rugged man who picks up to see right through her and suspect her lie. She resists him as long as she can until their attraction explodes. The only issue...what will happen when he learns the truth?
Cole knows Raven is lying to them he just can't get her to spill the truth. This story takes us on the journey of their explosive attraction and their oh so hot and steamy sexy time. Despite his suspicion he can't get enough of her. Raven is just as enamored with him and starts to slowly let her guard down, but still doesn't give up the truth. A few intense events happen and she is forced to divulge the truth to Cole and the club.
Overall this was a good story, but Raven's inability to be honest with Cole did not sit well with me and made it hard for me to really pull for her. I wanted them together and once she opened up it was great, but almost a bit too late for me. Cole deserved better. He and the club were at risk with her there and it irritated me that she kept lying and thinking the worst of him. This would be the reason for my rating.
This story has it all, uber alpha males, with intense libidos and sexy time. The secondary characters are good and most of them will have their own stories coming in the series. There is explicit language, violence and sexual content not suitable for minors so be forewarned before you start reading this book or the series. ⭐⭐⭐

DEGRADING TO WOMEN - WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND Skimming and skipping through pages doesn’t lesson the garbage dump of a book this is. The amount of pages disrespecting women books like this should not be allowed to be published. You can tell that Richards is from an antiquated generation that allows men everything with no excuses or explanation needed because boys will be boys. She is the worst kind of woman writing tropes that pit women against one another, where one kind of woman is a winner and deserves love and respect and is chosen by the male lead who has a used up dick, and all the other women he’s been intimate with are losers m, they have no worth and should be dismissed. Richards enjoys sex shaming, name calling and all around immature trashy behavior by all her characters. Lastly, using the word “clean” to refer to a character’s sexual health. I’ve said too many times and I will continue you to say it! This is no different than being racist, sexist, ageist, all the negative “ists”! When the word clean is used to it says that people with an STI/STD are not clean. This then implies that they can’t be sexual or have sex which then goes down the ugly rabbit hole of they don’t deserve love, they are not attractive…just negative, negative, negative. 1 in 4 people have or have had an STI/STD. It’s not okay to dismiss and disrespect those readers. To use the word clean diminishes who these people are. The majority of women who have an STI/STD are not sex workers, drug users or have loose morals but women who are in what they believe are monogamous or honest relationships. Just like rape, STIs/STDs the majority of cases are spread by someone you are familiar with and in a long term relationship. SEX SCENES - Yes. This where Richards does well…the first few of scenes but then once the main characters have sex the storylines after seem more geared towards sex nonstop. It is so boring because the scenes are on repeat that I just started skipping over them.
Cole & Raven: triggers -assault, sexual assault, corruption, explosion. I really enjoyed this book. What a good way to start a series. Raven is in need of protection after seeing something she shouldn't have. For her protection, she's taken into the desert rebels MC. Only they think she's running from a crazy ex. The lie being her mom's plan to get the rebels to help. As the club's enforcer, Cole is ordered to pick up Raven. I guess I could classify this as an enemies to lovers because Cole and Raven do not get along from jump. Though it seems one sided. Cole doesn't trust her and doesn't believe her story. Being attracted to her doesn't help the situation. Cole is a man of action. An enforcer who's very presence serves fear. But despite that, he doesn't mistreat women. Cole and Raven burn up the pages with their back and forth banter and their naked game of twister. So good. This is my first time reading this author. I'm very pleased with what I read, though there are a few spelling/grammatical errors. It's not enough to rate lower than 4⭐
Cole only thought of Raven as nothing more than a sex object and how turned on her body made him.
After they have sex, his inner thoughts are that he doesn't want easy pussy anymore. That was hilarious because Raven very easily spread her legs for him. There was NO relationship what so ever before they had sex. That's pretty much the definition of loose easy pussy.
Raven was everything I dislike in a FMC. Loose slutty whore. Irrationally jealous. Weak, pathetic, overemotional. Gets all butt hurt after the first time they have sex when he gives her some hard truths, when she knew it was just an ONS.
Absolutely no relationship development besides constant excessively long and boring sex scenes.
The rest of the plot was very predictable and it's not worth continueing with the series.
Liked this book with a few exceptions. When reading about Cole in the nomads series he didn’t strike me as such an ass. I feel like all books written by Tory Richards follow the same plot. Man is a jerk, something bad happens with woman, they get together. It’s very repetitive. I agree that most books are this way but most of her scenes are the same, just with a different name of the main characters. I still enjoy the books & will continue to read them, just wish there was more variety in her books.
Cole is book 1 in Desert Rebels MC series, it was intense, full of action and drama from page 1. Really enjoyed getting to know both Cole and Raven, even though Raven at times came across a bit immature and naive. The insta attraction and dance around actually taking action between Cole and Raven was entertaining. I will for now skip Demon's book, looking forward to reading LDs story
Loved the brotherhood of this MC chapter, Cole especially. Raven needs a safe place to land, so as a favor, Cole & Sax go get her. Sparks fly between the two at first glance. Cole doesn't do commitment, & Raven doesn't need the trouble. There's angst among the club girls, a bomb, death, revenge, sexual escapades, and tension. Enjoy the journey. Well-written! 📚🎉❤️🌻
Once again Tory writes an emotional journey. As always with her books you go on an emotional journey. I went from love, to hate, to fear, to happy. This book had an amazing love story, action, characters to hate and so many to love. I absolutely adore Cole and Raven. I could keep reading about them and all of the amazing characters of the Desert Rebels. A perfect hot read.
She has a target on her back. He is the enforcer of the Desert Rebels MC. She needs protection. She lies about why. He can smell a lie. He wants her, she wants him. What will happen when the truth comes out. I love Tory Richards writing style. Her MC characters are so well written. Looking forward to reading more of this series.. I received a copy to read/review with my honest opinion..
This was a fast paced story, with a lot of heat between the main characters. Cole is a bit of an a** from the beginning, which makes his eventual fall so much better! The world building for the series definitely makes you feel invested, without leaving a major cliffhanger.
If you like the rough and cussing motorcycle club lifestyle, you'll be comfortable reading this book. Because I liked the characters, I read the whole book, skipping some areas. There is a warning about the contents of this book. Every other word was the f--- word. A little much for me, but an interesting plot.
I found this author because of the cover of the book! I sometimes do choose new authors because of the covers, then I get pleasantly surprised because the authors are talented, and I have a feeling about Ms Richards! I look forward to reading the next book!
I loved how this read went from one point of action to the next. All the points of actions came together and made sense. Thank you for the attention to the details. Will be reading the rest of this panty wetting Series.
Ok so you might as well get out the pocket book you need the set .This was totally bad azz beginning to a totally awesome series . ladies lets ride. I'll be adding Tory Richards to my most wanted list.
This story gave you a look into what an MC club is like. But besides that it was a love story. Cole and Raven couldn't get enough of each other and ended up in love. Great read!
This is MC Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Desert Rebels series. I loved getting to know all the characters in this series. There are some things in this book that could upset some readers. I really enjoyed reading this book.
I read Bulls book first n loved it so thought I better start at the start. Cole didn’t disappoint, what a hunk of a man. Loved Raven and how strong she was. Can’t wait to read rest of series now ❤️❤️
