My name is Christopher Greyson, and I am a storyteller.
Since I was a little boy, I have dreamt of what mystery was around the next corner, or what quest lay over the hill. If I couldn’t find an adventure, one usually found me, and now I weave those tales into my stories. I am blessed to have written over twenty novels.
My love for tales of mystery and adventure began with my grandfather, a decorated World War I hero. I will never forget being introduced to his friend, a WWI pilot who flew across the skies at the same time as the feared, legendary Red Baron. My love of reading and storytelling eventually led me to write and it’s the best job I’ve ever had.

This is the second time I’ve read a book about A Mini Mystery Series. I have read the first book, but I don’t remember what it is about because I read it a long time ago. I just remember that I read it.
Well, this book is about Finn and Annie who works together as insurance investigators. Finn is physically disabled from an IED explosion and Annie is thoroughly deaf.
They don’t let that slow them down. Or stop them from working. They are very good at their jobs.
Greyson weaves just a touch of mystery and humor with a hearty dose of uplifting spirit in this short read cozy of less than 40 pages. The series features him as an Insurance Investigator (who is missing a leg to due war) and his female photographer who is deaf (but can excellently read lips). It’s makes for heart warming situations and often funny things that happen.
In this plot, they examine a case where a guy said he tripped and busted up his teeth on the doorknob of his house carrying in groceries (of course the insurance company needs to pay for it!) Watch the dynamic duo in action! Did that happen?
This Mini Mystery series is light hearted, humorous, with decent mysteries to solve. A great change of pace and when I want a quick read. Highly Recommended.
These are cute short stories with two unique characters. Annie is deaf but has a zest for life and is just what her boss Finn needs. Fell in love with Greyson's Jack books. He is an excellent author.
Awesome but just a shame it was even shorter than I expected. A claim for broken teeth has both Fnn and his sunshine elf investigating. Did the claimant really have an accident at home? The more they look into it the more their suspicions are aroused. Take a dog, a red ball and a little girl to find out what really happened and how Finn started to rebuild his own self esteem. Loved the characters and the draw between the two main ones. Plus who said children can't break the ice?
The Case of the Dropped Groceries: A Mini Mystery Series (The Adventures of Finn and Annie Book 2) [Kindle Unlimited] — Christopher Greyson (3 chapters) March 15, 2020
Really liking these short mystery stories. So quick to read and leaves me satisfied; a great escape story, if only for less than an hour.
This is the second book, and Finn and Annie are investigating an insurance claim involving a client who had dental work done due to a fall on his steps.
Finn and Annie go to meet a man who’s teeth were knocked in when he fell onto his doorknob. The man was bringing in groceries and tripped, or so he says. His dog is rambunctious, leading Annie to throw his ball for him, a heavy thing that makes lots of noise.
A couple of trips later for Finn, to his brother the dentist for some info, then to the ice rink, and the guy’s lies come to the surface. Then, a free skate for Finn with Annie and her kids.
I devoured the Jack series, experiencing ap rollercoaster of emotions that left me both deeply satisfied and heartbroken when it concluded. Fortunately, the Finn and Annie series more than compensated for my loss, captivating me completely. The intricate storylines and richly developed characters were utterly compelling, creating an immersive reading experience that exceeded my every expectation.
As Finn described Annie with her sunny smile and sparkling blue eyes. Then warning her to drive like an insurance investigator not a daredevils. The dialog flows, and you want to read more, The family and people that Finn had been keeping at arm lengths, until Annie came. A good short mystery and how Finn solved.
I enjoy Finn and Annie and the insurance cases they work. Sometimes a short story is all I have time for. This is a quaint series that is well written with charming characters. I look forward to more Finn and Annie.
Although these stories are mini, they were very enjoyable and a quick read when I am very busy but need my reading "fix". For me, reading is as necessary as food and rest. This mini series was perfect.
This is another fun Flash Short of Finn and Annie investigating an injury case blamed on dropped groceries. Just how did this cause a man to have a broken nose and broken teeth? Awesome, funny story for fast entertainment. Highly recommend.
This story was short and sweet. Good definition of characters and well written. This would be a great way to get an idea of how Mr. Greyson writes his stories, fun and interesting.
Looks like our heroes of the insurance company have solved another case and in so doing are beginning to get a little closer. The only thing I dislike about these books are that they should all be in one book. But here I go onto the next one.
Finn & Annie are real-life people with real life difficulties who won’t sit down and bemoan their lot. They make my day happier and hopefully yours too.
If you like Mr. Greyson's Jack Stratton mysteries, you will also like his Annoe and Finn shorts Clever stories that you can get through in an half hour. Read it and see You'll be glad you did!
THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME READING THE FINN & ANNIE MINI MYSTERY SERIES. IT IS A VERY SHORT READBUT I LOVE CHRISTOPHER GRAYSON’S JACK STRATTON SERIES AND I LOVE HIS WRITING STYLE, THIS DIDN’T DISSAPPOINT. YAY! ’D
I enjoyed this story about 2 people struggling to adjust to their disabilities. The characters were real, and I found myself feeling for them both, even in this short story. Well done.
