Priene: A guide to the "Pompeii of Asia Minor"
This comprehensive and compact archaeological guide in English to the famous site of Priene was written by Frank Rumscheid with contributions by Wolf Koenigs. Considered as the Pompeii of Asia Minor based on the residences unearthed, Priene is an ancient city that has a lot to offer to the visitors. Following the introduction and the history of the site, the guide is arranged following a certain route to help the visitors. The text prepared by the excavation team members also covers the latest work in Priene. Enriched with numerous pictures, plans and drawings it is possible to see how the monuments looked like when they were built in antiquity, during the excavations years ago and how they look today.
