He Who Is a Lover

Falling in love wasn’t the goal. In fact, I didn’t think it was possible. That was until Bilan Asad-Yasin turned out to be more than I anticipated when I finally decided to explore her that early spring evening. Those curvy thighs, chiseled cheekbones, auburn freckles, powerful resilience, and endless intellect.

She was a bad decision, this I knew. She’d

On the fence

I love all of Love’s books, but I’m in on the fence about this one. Often I can respect a character’s viewpoint even if I don’t agree with it (which I often don’t because as a reader you see everyone’s cards so your perception is often based on the whole) but this time I just could not understand Bilan’s point of view. Her character just seemed disillusioned and by 50% I was simply exhausted and drained. I hope i can enjoy the next installment better.

I usually begin my reviews with a synopsis, but to hell with that sh*t!

It's been 2 days and some pocket change since I have finished and I still haven't been able to get my life! I have literally marked the time because I haven't been able to function. And considering I would wake up in the middle of the night and also hide at work in cubby holes to read chapters, I've basically been a d#mn hermit crab! I am seriously having book hangover and I can't deal with these withdrawals right now!

Good continuation of the series as I took my time reading this one. Bilan's strength was noted especially when dealing with Earl and Iban. Sadik continues to be that guy and truly loves Bilan. Characters were well represented as the family has come together including the introduction of Bilan's relatives. Tiffany's existence is annoying as she seems to pop up anytime. Storyline was intense as more of the Ellis family business was revealed. Good content and the ending has me definitely looking fo ...more

4.5 stars

In book #2 of the Sadik series, the layers to both Bilan’s personal life and Sadik’s family dynamics and motivations are peeled back. Sadik is determined to not only be Bilan’s friend but her lover and her protector. However, there are a lot of outside forces disrupting his best intentions.  Bilan proves that she isn’t as quiet or meek as people may think she is. She has concerns, and valid ones, with Sadik and his family. He may know for sure he’s in love with her but he came into that

Enjoyed the Multiple Layers of Sadik and Bilan - 4.5 Star Review

I’m giving this one a solid 4.5 stars. I enjoyed the many layers and transformation of Sadik and Bilan. The book is well written and nonstop with the issues surrounding Sadik’s family. I will admit there was a bit of something missing for me. I loved both characters but I didn’t love love love the book.

Sadik was alpha and in your face. I loved his character, and at times didn’t know what he was going to do next.

His family was off

That 🖊 ain’t no joke!

If you haven’t read a Love Belvin novel, then you need to analyze your life! One thing I can say about this author is that her readers are always in for treat.

Sadik and Bilan are going through a very interesting journey together. In the first book, Sadik was not my favorite person because he’s truly an alpha man who knows what he wants and won’t stop until he gets it and it’s all about Bilan! Babbbby!!!! Sadik has grown so much in Book 2. He’s much more unde

Awesome Read!!

Book 2 in this series and it was just as enthralling as the first book. We got some much needed answers and Love Belvin is painting a more complete picture of all of the characters and what makes them who they are. Waiting impatiently for the third and final book in the series.

All In

The Sadik and Bilan series continues. It took me a minute to get into this story, but once in, I was all in. Ready for Book 3.

Excellent Read

I am speechless! I enjoyed part 2. It was well written as always and flowed very well. Sadik and Bilan were taking each other down quite a bit in part 2, especially Bilan. She jumped him more times than I can Anyway, that cliffhanger has me really looking forward to part 3. Great job, Love Belvin! You got the power!

He Who Is Sadik!!!!

Love Belvin I depend on your ethereal penmanship to take me to my favorite space...LB Universe!

Sadik and Bilan discover more of themselves and each other as a unit in part 2 of their love story. Bilan is literally scared out of her mind and rightfully so. What she had remaining as a family unit is no more, even though she was not valued in her brother’s eyes as family. She’s not sure of who to trust, including herself at times. Her anger and animosity towards Sadik has merit

Whew! Book 2 had my emotions all over the place. It was brilliant! Bilan’s character growth showed a lot in this book but she still frustrated me at times. Especially in the first half of this delectable read. She was like a baby cousin who drives me mad but I still love and adore her and NEED to see her win. I just couldn’t figure her out. But I kind of understood her position in all of this. Sadik... oh Sadik!! *swoon* He won my heart in part 2. So vulnerable and insisting on showing how much ...more

In my review of book 1, I pointed out that I was just getting to know Sadik and Bilan. But was looking forward to getting to know each one of them better. I also had faith that LB would not disappoint as this literary journey continued...

Well book 2 most certainly gave us more familiarity with both characters. But Sadik, by far was more dissected than Bilan.

I now feel like I know what makes this Ultra Alpha tick. From his interactions with his family, to how he relates to Bilan,to how he does bu

Every time I finish a Love Belvin book/series, I am literally shaken to my core. There are so many levels to the characters and to the story. I feel like I’ve migrated into a whole other existence.

Sadik. Wow. I just don’t know what else to say about him. He is the ultimate alpha male, yet clearly vulnerable. His love for family and Bilan knows no bounds.

Bilan is beautifully flawed. I was thrilled to finally learn the reason behind her eating disorder. At first one might want want th

Let me start of with Love put her foot in this 2nd book...

The story starts off with Bilan hiding (not really) in South Carolina trying to reconcile the loss of her last family member while pregnant with Sadik's child. Poor Sadik is heart sick over the loss of his relationship with Bilan but plans to get her back as soon as he takes out all obstacles to his happiness. When they do come back together Sadik and most of his family (I do mean most and not all) go out of their way to bring Bilan into

This series was everythinggg

I really hope everybody lives through this and comes out ok. I really want Iban to make it out alright so he can see reap the consequences of his ongoing, never ending actions. He got on my nerves in the 1 st series and in this series I was ready to come through the book and smack the shit outta of him. It’s utterly ridiculous! Like can no one see how much help this child needs? I know he is a grown man and cant anyone do anything. But Iban can’t continue on living hi

Ok, let me get this out of the way (....... Brilliant)
Love has done the darn thang with this one!

Sadik - determined, tunneled vision, unapologetic, ruthless when it comes to Bilan and deadly when it comes to bringing harm to his family

Old boy sniffing will have to answer for the infractions, but by who .....

Tiff is swimming in shallow water and about to get her comeuppance from ......

Bilan - jealous, get even spirit, stubborn, loyal and blind consecutively and let's not forget d

Love Belvin leaves me breathless every time I am introduced to her stories. I don't know how she can have all the worlds within her but I so appreciate being allowed to be a part of her many journeys.

This book was written so beautifully and with such depth that I felt I was at the dinner table every time the family sat down, like I was a spectator, in the moment, instead of having it in my hands reading. In this second installment, I really got to know Sadik and his family. Sadik was very focus

I loved this installment because tho Bilan was irky given the circumstances, and her naivety, I gave her a pass, but I also felt her growth from book 1; it was a lot to take in and deal with and Sadik’s ultra alpha persona didn’t leave her much room to deal or adjust to the vastness that is S.Q.E.

I so loved Sadik in this installment, not that he could do no wrong in book 1, but his vulnerability, his love for her and his need to see and keep her happy just quadrupled that adoration a kazillion

He who is a lover ♥

I really love Bilan. She is such a sweet girl and I want to see her win! I remember the prophecy by Pastor Ezra so that gives me hope that she will win because God is with her. I kept having to remind myself of that throughout the book knowing that danger loomed. Cinematic indeed. Sadiq is an alpha but a little different from my favorite alpha’s in other LB novels in that he didn’t seem to put Bilan over family. He was basically forcing her to accept his murderous pops and bro

For the Lover in you

Sadik and Bilan delve deeper into their twisted love affair. Sadik takes desperate measures to gain Bilan's trust and Bilan begins to assert her position in Sadik's life. This second installment opened up my eyes to so much about this couple, it solidified that love can be complicated and an oxymoron. Although Sadik does everything in his power to secure Bilan he blatantly disregards the tools she desperately needs to build a solid foundation to house his love. Bilan although

She’s painting a masterpiece

This ride with Bilan and Sadik is an intense one just like all of Love’s works.

I love that Bilan found her strength to stand up for herself. She took nothing from no one, and I was here for it! I didn’t like her blindness to Jason’s advances even after going home. That’s a lose end that I can’t wait to see get snipped. Also, Randi is still reckless with the way she speaks to her, so I want Bilan to get her put in her place.

Sadik moved up a few notches in my regard f

He Who Is a Lover......Maybe Friend

Sadik and Bilan are back!
Their relationship has taken a beaten. Will Sadik’s love be enough to sustain their relationship? Will Bilan share why she does not eat? Will Iban and Tiffany continue to be a thorn in their side? Will Bilan finally say those three magical words to Sadik? Will Bilan find her voice? These are just some of the questions that are burning in our minds.

He Who Is a Lover answers some questions from He Who Is a Friend, but ignite new ones. Th

Omg omg !!!

This book took me through it. Ms. Love you are gifted, you have an amazing mind. The way you tied the story together with so many moving parts and different pieces is beyond me. I love the Ellis's despite the fact that they are of the underworld. The way Irene and Earl have created a united bond is what we all dream of; that solid support system for our children. Sadik sounds like the sexiest man alive. Definitely physically attractive, but his mind was even more attractive. The way h

I Was Enthralled

So, I'm at work when the book dropped, and it's been very hard to concentrate since. I brought my Kindle to work, back home, and took it to bed with me, too. I finished this morning when I was supposed to be writing a technical manual. This book had me completely enthralled. Love Belvin develops characters like no one else. I am completely caught up in her world. This installment was everything I love as a reader. There were interesting characters, shady chracters, complicated, m

Mind Blown🤯

This is even better than the first, there are some things that Sadik needs to address.. AKA Tiffany, i am tired of the “she family” excuse he keep throwing out. He need to use his alpha voice and put her on notice, that she has no place with him. She not gone be at the other end of the table with the other lovers LOL! Bilan did step up when she came to the house, I would have liked a little more of that conversation. Iban, Iban, what have you done??? I did not miss Sadik, thinking tha

Sadik shows that he'll do whatever to please Bilan and to keep her with him forever. Even though he tries, Sadik can't keep himself from the family business. Bilan discovers her strength and how much she loves Sadik. She also sees just how strong the Ellis family feels about supporting and being there for her. Irene earned a lot of respect from me, even Double E to a degree. I love the support that Tasche gives to Bilan so effortless while Randi is not a person that I will call a real fri

Girl, hush yo mouth!

Many of Love's readers were eagerly awaiting this second installment of this ultra alpha male, Sadik. Let me first start by saying Love is not one of those authors who have you waiting a year or half year for a book BUT she leaves you so thirsty that the moment you close the book for the 3rd time and get some rest you are ready for more. He Who is a Lover did not disappoint. Love implores you to fall in love with Sadik, cheer for Bilan, roll your eyes at Tiffany, want to hug

Myocardial Infarction

Belvin shoots te place up then cleans up the mess. This series is not my most favorite but the quality of the writing is first rate all the wait. I grew up watching Gunsmoke, Big Valley and Bonanza. I felt like I was reading te Black version, lol. When I got to the cliffhanger, I said to myself, "that doggone Love is gone have my lying in the bed next to Double E Bags holding my chest!" One minute I hated Earl, the next minute I was having a warm fuzzy. I do NOT like Iban,
