I picked up this book because I really enjoyed The 7 Habits. I can say that I didn't quite like The 8th Habit. A lot of the book was repeating ideas from The 7 Habits. And the additional information, though interesting, could have been presented better. There was even the seemingly nice idea of introducing videos to illustrate some of the concepts in the book (videos available on their website), but 90% of those videos were borderline useless.
I still think this was worth the read, simply because of some key concepts around the 8th habit and the recap on the 7 habits. But I don't know I'd recommend the book.
I am follower of 7 habits and try to practice it in both personal and family setting. It was one of the books that really inspired me. The main reason 7 habits was a huge success was because it tells Stephen Covey’s personal story for each of the habits and it has a lot of personal examples to relate to. Whereas this book was very dry and it totally did not influence me. This book just piggybacked on the laurels of 7 habit habit. I wouldn’t recommend this book instead I would read 7 habits again.
