Surprise Packages gives off a fairy tale vibe with a modern twist. Erika and Alex are a heart match for my romantic soul.

Erika was an actress on a very well known TV Show. This was her dream since she left home. Her friend Lizzie convinced her to go to the going away party. At the party Erika overhears her friend Lizzie talking gossip about her. Erika leaves forgetting her purse but on her way out she runs into a man Prince Alessandro who asked her to have a drink. They wound up at her house and could not keep their hands off each other. They had that one night as he gets a call and he had to leave quickly so I had been a one stand. Erika has been working on a new project and she started to not feel well she realized she might be pregnant. Now she wanted to get in touch with him to tell him he is going to be a family. Erika went to his country to tell him face to face. Erika was surprised how well Alex took the news he was really concerned for her and the baby. He had to go through a process that could make him give up the future if the throne. Erika is trying to learn more about the country. Erika started to get sharp pains and they went to see the doctor. Twists, turns and big surprises.
Makes this a pleasure to read.

Erica bumps into Alex at a end of season party and they feel like they know each other right away. They spend the night together and the next morning he leaves after he gets a phone call, Erica finds out she is pregnant and goes to Avaran to tell him she is pregnant, At first she is told she can't speak to him, he walks out and he hears her and they go and talk. After she tells him she is pregnant she goes back home and waits for Alex to call her with news about how to work things out. He does not call her and she starts to thing he just told her what she wanted to hear. They get back together and things fall into place. This is a very intense, heartwarming love story with alot of chemistry between the couple and it has it twists and turns in how to approach things for a Prince.
Don't worry it is a HEA.

Too Sweet for My Taste.
Surprise Packages by authors, Layla Valentine and Holly Rayner was an OK story. The premise of the book reminded me of Prince William and Meghan Markke-ish. The protagonists were Erica the Hollywood actress who meets a European Prince, Alessandro at her TV Show’s Wrap Party location - a hotel. They have a one night stand. She becomes pregnant and flies over to his country and tells him. He’s overjoyed. But, there are still obstacles both must deal with successfully in order to be together.
I found Erika was written too naive and therefore came across dumb in her thought processes and decision making. I wonder if this is why the writers had her come from a midwestern state. Mmmmm
The ending was just too overly sweet for my taste.

I absolutely loved this book and would definitely give it 5+ stars if I could. I was hooked from beginning to end. “Surprise Packages” tells the story of Erica, an actress in a TV series and Alex, a prince. Layla Valentine and Holly Rayner write in a way that allows me to watch a movie in my head rather than reading a series of words. The story is well-written, it follows a logical path and the characters are amazing. Layla Valentine and Holly Rayner are two of my favourite authors and I think this is one their best books to date. There’s excitement, love and hot and steamy moments throughout. The story truly has a fairytale ending and I don’t think there’s a person around who doesn’t love a happy ever after. Do yourself a favour, read “Surprise Packages”, I guarantee you’ll love as much as I did.

I loved the beginning of this story that gave depth to the characters and the consequences of their rapprochement, but then everything seemed quite simple.
Erica is a successful Hollywood series actress, but coming from the American country was left alone and betrayed by her ex boyfriend who sold her loneliness story to the point of pity throughout California. But in Hollywood, this kind of story is worse than any other scandal. When she wants to escape this pity during a party, she meets Alex. Their situation is the same as for celebrity, in two different professions, and their attraction is strengthened. But when she learns and understands who Alex is and what responsibilities he has in relation to his function, everything is complicated.

By far this is my favorite to date in the Baby Surprises series. I absolutely enjoyed Erica and Alex's story. A chance meeting leads to a hot and steamy connection they both cannot deny. And yet it appears it is only meant to be a one night stand. Until Erica finds out she has a surprise for Alex and vows to find him and let him know. It seems both have not been able to get past the night they shared together and admit that what they feel for one another is something neither has ever experienced before. Once Alex has been reunited with Erica he stops at nothing to make sure she stays in his life for good. This is a very well written story that will keep you wanting to read it from the beginning until the wonderful HEA!

They hit it off and go to her house. In the morning, he is called away to tend to some urgent royal business. Six weeks later, she discovers a souvenir of his visit. Determined to inform Alex of his future daddydom, she travels to his country to tell him face to face. The news is well received by him, not so much from the Parliament. And it’s two for the price of one, twins. Will this small country accept her or force him to abdicate? Nicely written and enjoyable read. Short.

Here we have a true romance with a royal twist - and a celebratory twist mixed with the normal and all is blended beautifully together to make a really good royal romance. This story is more or less on par with the previous stories I have read by this author, well written, good storyline and hardly any errors at all - I don´t think I noticed even one! But the story also flows really well and one leads to another all throughout the story really smoothly until the end. So well done to the author and I am giving it really good four stars.

This story was very sweet. Erica played a Princess on a TV series. At a wrap party, she meets Alex who introduces himself as a prince, but takes it back. They have a wonderful night together ad then he has to fly back to his country. They don't exchange numbers and when she turns up pregnant, she tries to figure out how to get ahold of him. She is very bold about it and flies to his country and goes right up to the castle. The characters are very likeable and the story was very good. I do love a good Layla Valentine book.

Actress Erica is dealing with the mean girl scenario in her TV crew, as she runs to lick her wounds she runs into a prince, but this prince isn't the type to sweep her off on his steed. After one great night and six weeks later Erica is off to find the prince who left her with his surprise packages. More of the off beat Cinderella story, the wicked step mother is the country's government. Still an enjoyable read, with it's own little struggles and HEA

Erica plays a princess in her television series but it was not until she was pregnant with Alex's twins that she became his pricess and later his queen. I loved the romance of this story, falling in love can be difficult if you are royal but for Alex nothing was more important than being there for Erica and his babies. The characters felt real to me, their love story was not all smooth but their love for each other allowed them to overcome all obstacles in their path.

when playing a Princess in a show Erica meets real life Prince Alex ,there is instant chemistry and attraction and they spend the night together , a few weeks after he has gone back home she discovers she is pregnant ,after finding him will they get their HEA ,a sweet romance read with a good storyline and great characters ,with drama , ups and downs ,would have preferred it from both POV's but it's still a good read and a great addition to the "BABY SURPRISES" series

Sometimes things come better in twos!
This is my 9th book by Layla and I love an author who writes in dual point of view. Erica plays a princess on a TV sitcom when she bumps into Prince Alex and the two hit it off between the sheets. Until Alex has to return home leaving without so much as exchanging phone numbers. Erica is surprised later when she realizes that she has something more than just a memory of her one night with Alex. But will Alex be able to lay aside his princely duties to be with a commoner? You have to read to find out and you won’t be disappointed.

If you are fond of this genre, romantic comedy featuring a commoner and a hero of some ilk, you will really enjoy this book. The characters are well drawn, the settings are as rich and delightfully foreign, the story is never rushed nor dragging and one is never tempted to skip to the end. Read it!
