Down Two Paths continues the parallel journeys of a young woman, Dee, which began in the first installment of the Borderline series. Compared to the previous book, the pace is a little slower and the protagonist's internal monologue a little less frantic.This reflects her psychological growth as she strives to come to terms with the choices she's made and to plan for a better future with the help of those closest to her.

We've seen what's the behind the doors to the two parallel realities in the first book of the Borderline Series. Now, the author navigates us through the two dissimilar but equally challenging paths behind them. The author's flair for character building really comes through as we traverse the paths with her. Taya Devere's style sucks you in until you are the character. It's why I love these books so much. The volume and intensity of feeling invoked are unique and beyond what most reading experience is like. If only a quarter of this passion is evoked in my readers, I would be proud! Well done, Ms. Devere!

The only thing negative I have to say is: Why did the end come so fast!
