I received a free copy of "Influence: the Secret of Selling" (which in no way influenced my review whatsoever), from Laban T M'mbololo in exchange for an honest review. I read the book last night, and found it to be excellent.

This book is certainly not my usual fare, and not something I typically would have picked up myself. Likely I would have declined M'mbololo's request to review the book, but instead recommended it to my wife - who is the business part of our writing enterprise - to read. H

I confess I've not read the whole book yet but I am happy to give it 5 stars on the basis of the first chapter alone which focuses on the power of attraction. I really liked the "First Sales Rule" which was to forget about what you've ever learnt in sales. Coming from a manufacturing background I would say that is pretty apt and should be applied to a lot of the 1990s business paradigms.

Mr. Laban Mmbololo really appears to have done a lot of background research and work when he wrote, “Influence: The Secret of Selling.” It is a well-researched book that presents an extensive number of concepts that you need to apply to succeed in the area of sales. It is also very easy to follow, as it is presented with bullet points and details below each bullet point, making it easy to find what you need.
