That's what Griff Foster said right after he asked me to be his wife.
Sweet, isn't he?

Let's be real: his proposal had nothing to do with romance. Falling in love isn't in his DNA. With piercing blue eyes and a hard body to match, he goes through women like candy.

But he saved my life.

I promised I'd repay him. I should learn when to keep

I don't even know where to begin with this book. There is so much going on here, and not quite in a good way. Griff rescues Lily from an attempted rape by her boss's nephew, who she had to go on some dates with in order to get a promotion at work. She lives with her single mother, and they are struggling financially. Soon after, Griff learns that he has to marry in a short amount of time in order to retain his inheritance and the company he's been running for years. His solution? Pay the hot chi ...more
Sissy's Romance Book Review
His Little Wife Lie by Sloan Storm is the story of Lily Wesichlitz and Griff Foster.
Lily is the innocent women who is trying to make ends meet and one of her attempts fails which leads her to meet Griff. Griff is the ultimate rich man who doesn't do commitment but his grandfather's has a clause that if he isn't married by a certain time, he forfeits the company and all that with it. Of course he isn't letting that happen, so he needs a temp/fake wife. Which leads him to corner Lily to be that wo

This was a good story about finding love when you least expect it and second chances. Griff had a proposition for Lily that Lily couldn’t refuse. Little did they now that both of them would want more. Between lies and betrayal their story will have you glued too your kindle.

Loved the storyline

I really enjoyed this story. I like the fake fiance troupe. The chemistry fell a little short for me and there were times that Griff was worse than Eric. But all in all a great story and characters. Had a couple twists in there at the end, but over all a little predictable. With this story type, you need to suspend belief a little, so not a big deal. It starts out strong and ends strong. 3.5 stars.

This book started off strong but the big romantic conflict in the middle was almost painful because it was so predictable, and its resolution was ridiculously improbable. However, HEA’s all over, so yay for that.

This author is not working to their fullest potential, but I’m looking forward to reading future works because she/he is going to be awesome someday when the stories aren’t so predictable.

This book was a treat to read. Twist and turns and hot steamy chemistry what more could I ask for. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly I kept reading till the end.

Lily is a runner with a vcard.
Griff is a player, a one and done and his grandfather “Papa” is not having any of it. If he’s not married with six months of his death, the family company will be dissolved.
Lily is expendable so, he picks her for his fake.
I didn’t care for Griff and his getting his dick wet.

Griff Foster is a player. Plain and simple. So, when he saves Lily, she owes him big time and that's what she tells him. Big mistake. Lily should have just replied thank you and kept her big mouth shut.
Soon after, Lily finds herself unemployed and looking for work. Griff is all too eager to help and tells Lily he has the perfect job for her. Griff proposes a fake marriage; one that will benefit them both. First Lily has to deal with the

I received a review copy of the book before release for an honest review.

This was a really fun book with some big twists in it. I don't want to spoil too much of the story so there are some things I won't spill.

This was pretty well written and edited. Not the best story I have ever read but I did really like the storyline and I absolutely loved the characters. It appears to be a fairly new author and I was impressed and really enjoyed it.

This book was a bit too much and not enough for me. let me start off with I really love fake relationship romances and you have to be open to a bit of cliche when you're reading the genre. However, this book was a little too typical with a heavy side of chaos. I felt like there was just so much going and not a lot of order or time to process some of the crazy s*** happening on this storyline. I liked both Lily and Griff in the beginning but a the end Lily annoyed me and Griff had just progressiv ...more

His Little Wife Lie by Sloan Storm is a standalone contemporary romance told in dual POV between Lily Wesichlitz and Griff Foster. A fake fiancée trope that is both sexy and angsty.

Lily just wants to get on with her life and not get accosted by her bosses nephew. She needs the hours though so she agrees to a date, only to get accosted by the nephew and then rescued by Griff. This hunk of man that takes the term sexy lumberjack to a whole other level! When it turns out Griff isn't just a lumberj

This was a great book. I enjoyed the characters. Griff Foster comes from money. He is gorgeous and he has his pick of the ladies. He meets Lilly by chance and she seems genuine from all the other chicks he just does hook-ups with. His grandfather is the only live relative he has. His grandfather told Griff that before he died he wanted Griff to settle down with a wife. If Griff got married before his grandfather died he would inherit all of the estate. If not, it would be liquidated to a charity ...more

Absolutely fantastic! Intrigue, suspense, excitement, humour, sadness, and romance you will find it all in this book and what a book it is! I laughed, I shook my head in frustration, and I teared up; I just loved and enjoyed it immensely! The book is well-written; plot and characters are well-developed. It kept me to the edge of my seat all throughout and I did not stop reading until the very end and was even disappointed when I did not get an epilogue – I just wanted more. The book had it good points and it's bad points. There were times when the characters were frustrating. Toward the end of the book both main characters got on my nerves at times but his tenacity to find the answers were commendable while Lily continued to be frustrating.

Her mother was definitely one that I found frustrating considering her history. She certainly wasn't the kind of mother who was actually trying to help her daughter through turmoil but succeeded at fanning the flames. Bringing t

When she's pursued by an insistent soon-to-be ex on an isolated track the saved by what seems to be a lumberjack, Lily isn't sure if she should be grateful or scared of the looming man with an axe. When he ends up being a Foster and later offers her a proposal to marry him so that he won't lose the company he worked so hard for, she is hesitant but desperate times call for desperate measures so she accepts.

Good story

I really wanted to give this book 5 stars but there were so many editing errors - whole words left out, switching from 1st person (Lily) to 3rd person in the same sentence, misspellings - there were a LOT. This was a very good story that could have been done better in a lot of ways. At the beginning there were a few things that didn't add up and one statement made by Lily early on was either a lie she told Griff re her sexual situation or the author forgot what she said. I say this bec

An enjoyable read!

Lily was quite a character. She was funny without being silly or overly so. Strong willed and trusting but firm when she has her mind set.

Griff was cocky at times but never in a douche-y way. He knew he was sexy. With his lumberjack looks he could fit in while chopping wood or perfectly behind a desk in a suit. My kind of man. He was a gentleman and very flirtatious; especially once he set his sights on Lily.

Their romance was fast paced but not so much I lost connection with

This was my first book by this author. I am so happy to have gotten this as an ARC through booksprout in return for my honest review. Ok let me first say that I am in love with this book. I loved the hero and the heroine. This is a full length novel which made me very happy. The story was so engaging that I finished it in one sitting. The way you know it was a good story is you keep thinking about it. I will definitely be reading this story over and over! I seriously can not recommend this high ...more

Excellent reading. Interesting story. Definitely original. Believable. I loved the nickname the main male character gave to the main female character and he used this nickname throughout the story. Besides the main theme of romance, there are a few other matters going awry at the same time. It took a while for me to warm up to the main male character but he evolved positively. My opinion of him became positive as a result of this growth. This is a fairly lengthy story but by no means was I bored ...more

So sweet

Such a sweet story with an overwhelming meaning of what life is truly about.
Griff Foster had always been a playboy living life to its fullest with women, parties, and a lot of hard work taking over the family business. He enjoyed his single life but loved his job more. He didn’t take things too seriously but his grandfather tried raising him with family values that Griff never fully understood until his grandfather put a condition in his will. Griff was to find a wife by his 29th birthd

Cliche plot

Come on! Do we have to do the "I'm perfect and never done wrong so I will cast judgement without so much as letting you give me an explanation about what happened and now I will pout and bellyache about how bad my life is and it's all their fault because I am f-ing perfect". It's not often I beg for the lead female to get hit by a bus but in this particular case I did! She was a brat and really wished he didn't end up with her!! This story it had lots of twists and turns in it but that is what made it a good story.
Lily meets Grif on a trailhead where her date is trying to molest her. He has noticed Lily running for quite some time and wanted to meet her. This gave him that opportunity. His grandfather has issued an ultimatum, if he wants his inherence he will stop being a player and settle down. Hence, the white lies. He basically blackmails Lily (who is very relunctant to agree) to help him. Now, add together, misunder

This story of Lily and Griff takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. Never having found her Mister Right, Lily is still untouched whereas Griff is your not so typical rich guy. His grandfather has given him an ultimatum: get married before he dies or all his inheritance will go to charity. When Griff helps Lily get away from a bad situation, he can't help but think she can do him a favor.

Sloan Storm pens imaginative yarns based on dominant men and the women who challenge them. As such, power plays and passion are the heart of each and every story.

The writer's creative tendencies may drift as the mood strikes, but the essence of all tales told wind up back at the same place... the polarizing difference between the sexes.

After all, what else is there in life?
