An interesting crime mystery with lots of action. The fast pace story of George Jenkins and his friends, the start of a new series (The Undergrounders’ series) and the search for a criminal that turns not only their school life upside down but uncovers information about the circumstances of the death of George’s mother. Just how are they all connected? When George stumbles upon a crime scene at school, his life is changed forever. He is eager for the attention and respect of his distant father and to get it, he leads his friends on a quest to find the person responsible, the infamous criminal The Falcon. The plot weaves a web with clues, suspicions and discoveries building and brewing the suspense as it goes and lands the friends in the middle of a secret underground MI5 location on the hunt for a gang of some of Europe's most notorious criminals. With tension, mystery, action and shocking twists and turns I can understand why this is recommended to fans of Alex Rider. I like the plotline of a normal teenager, with relatable problems that has their world turned upside down by something huge. These are the kind of stories I enjoyed reading when I was that age. They allow you to get to know the characters as they develop and investigate together. This style of story also sets you up nicely to enjoy new adventures with the characters and the new friends he makes. The ending is a whopper of a cliffhanger and will have readers eager to find out what happens in the next instalment.

I just finished reading this book and found it hard to believe that this was a debut novel because it read as good as any other books I have read! I found it quite hard to get into the book in the first chapter due to the overuse of adjectives in the first few pages, but when I did start to get into it I couldn't put it down :)
I loved how almost every question I asked my self throughout was answered at the end, and I found the plot very exciting, and kept me captivated to the very last sentence. I also found the plot very clever because all the hints mentioned along the way were incorporated later on and all of the plot twists kept me on my toes until the very end!!
I also really liked how none of the characters had perfect personalities and all had their flaws because that made them a lot more realistic for me.
I really really enjoyed this book - It's one of the best books I have read all year! - And I can not wait until the sequel comes out!!!!!!!! :)

Brilliant debut novel: dark & mysterious spy action for kids. My 9 year old loved it. Makes you think about secret passageways behind museum walls and disused tunnels underground!

🕊The Undergrounders And The Fight Of The Falcon🕊
With a dead mother, a distant father and a school full of teenagers intent on making his life hell, George Jenkins has a lot on his plate. When he and his friends stumble upon a crime scene in the grounds of his school, his mundane life gets turned upside down.
Desperate to be taken more seriously and gain the respect of his father, he leads his friends on a deadly crusade to find those responsible. Before they know what they are meddling with, they find themselves trapped beneath the streets of London, in a secret MI5 labyrinth, unknowingly chasing a gang of Europe’s ‘Most Wanted’. Little does George know that, not only will he expose the criminals, but he will also uncover some shocking truths about the death of his mother and his own link to the crimes.
.
🕊Honestly, this was one of the most amazing YA adventures I have read, it got everything from thrill to deadly adventures, sins, crimes to dark deep secrets. The book also reminded me of Sydney Sheldon's crime thrillers and it also has a hint of R. L Stine's Goosebumps series. I am in complete love with the intriguing and fast paced plotline, George is a character, I could relate with.
.
At times the book also reminded me of the famous book, "The Name Of The Book Is Secret", the YA element used in Undergrounders is extremely on point and is so well written, the way the story is narrated it makes the reader more engaged and the words of the author made me paint the story so well.
.
The book shook me from head to toe and I think it's a blend of so many elements and factors. This is something everyone should try out atleast once. I am so excited to get into the second book of the series. I will highly recommend it to everyone.

I will send the Falcon to flight, I will hit them where it hurts the most, I will snatch the thing they hold dearest, I will make them beg for lenience.
🦄🦄🦄
George has always been considered weak by his peers, add to that a deceased mother and a father who doesn't show him love, George found it difficult to be himself in society.
When George and his classmates stumble upon a murder, they find themselves in the way of the Falcon, one of Europe's Most Wanted Criminals.
Will George and his friends be able to stop the Falcon before it's too late?
🦄🦄🦄
The Undergrounders and the Flight of the Falcon by C. T. Frankcom is the first book in the series and primarily aimed towards teenagers (but can be enjoyed by everyone).
The book is filled with adventure, action and adversaries galore.
This is definitely a great book for those who are into the adventure genre because the author doesn't hold back on the great story with even better plot twists
That ending was great and honestly I did NOT see that coming.
All the characters are different and relatable, and George's character development is still in development but compared to what he was in the beginning, there is a huge change (and in some ways I feel like a proud big sister).
I'm dying to see what happens next with the Undergrounders.

This book had a good idea but sadly many negative points too. Firstly was the character's. There were too many to keep track of, plus the fact that they were appearing every sentence; very aggravating. Secondly, the murder "theme" was a bit bland. I am not going to go into that further, because of spoilers, but I am left distraught. I think this book is aimed at 9 years old, but it said 12+.
However there was one good thing about this book (not to mention the idea) and that was the description. In the tunnels it was extremely vivid and was almost like you are there.

My name is Mantissly, and I love reading
