What he didn't expect was that his first case would be to track down a stalker who may be an actual, birthed-from-Hell demon intent on killing his clients off one b

Supernatural Noir!

It seems I've found a new series to follow, and I'm fortunate enough to get to start with the first book, in what I hope is a long and successful run based on how much I loved this one! John Quick is becoming another favorite author, and this is my favorite book of his so far. I love both Jack and his smartass assistant, Alexis. This was a very good storyline, and I steamrolled through it like a starving man. Great stuff, just exciting and excellent in every aspect! HIGHLY reco

I had a good time reading this one! I'm glad to see a sequel is coming. I can't wait to get a copy of it.

I admit this cover drew me in when I saw it advertised by Sinister Grin Press on Twitter - it's retro-hardboiled-paranormal, so I had to check it out. I'm easy that way.

A truly entertaining work of horror noir, with grumpy private investigators, sassy assistants, and demonic serial killers. Quick gives the modern mystery novel a supernatural stabbing, filling it with esoteric lore along with great characters and a frantic pace. I will absolutely be signing up for more from Cochran Investigations.

If you ask his wife, John Quick is compelled to tell stories because he’s full of baloney. He prefers to think he simply has an affinity for things that are strange, disturbing, and terrifying. As proof, he will explain how he suffered Consequences, transcribed The Journal of Jeremy Todd, and regaled the tale of Mudcat. He lives in Middle Tennessee with his aforementioned long-suffering wife, two ...more
