Mindy Lou's Book Review
I had such fun with this book and Cara is going on my favorite heroine's list. She was sweet, adorable, and little bit of quirky. She also had a great attitude no matter what situation she was in. I'm usually all about the heroes but she was just as good as he was in this.

Henry is the strong, silent type. He only showed hints of a smile when Cara would be cute with him. He seemed to get attached to her quickly and was very protective of her. I really adored these two. There is nothing better
You might think this series is about male bounty hunters, but the Pax sisters are the ones doing the hunting and I love that! Cara has been more on the research side, looking into “skips” as they call them, and digging up as much info to aid in their capture. But since their flaky, self-centered mother put them in a bind financially by putting the family home (which the sisters paid for!) up as collateral for bail and then skipped, Cara wants to help as much as she can with the business.

I quickly found myself caught up in this tale from the interesting storyline to the Pax sisters.

I have been enjoying this series and after a teaser couldn’t wait for Cara’s story. Cara is the teams researcher and a part-time student working towards her degree. She is bubby, optimistic and easy to imagine her as Kindergarten teacher. Her love for her family has her hunting down, Henry Kavenski. Why she thought a killer would make the perfect first skip is beyond me.

From their first encounter, I

Cara is the sweet sister who doesn’t really get physically involved in the family Bounty business but instead helps by doing background checks in between studying to be a teacher. Still after the mess their mother left them in Cara is determined to do more to help and decides to track down a dangerous man who hasn’t returned for his bail hearing but getting caught by him trying to get into his motel room is just the start of Cara’s problems !
Ok I’m going to be blunt and say I wasn’t impressed
I had a good time with the first book introducing five bounty hunter sisters trying to make a living and deal with their low life mom's antics. Cara the college student with plans to be a kindergarten teacher and does the firm's research decides she needs to get into the active end of bringing down some big money bounties to help out her sisters pull the heavier load when mayhem ensues.

Risk It All is book two in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series. The first book set the premise for the

Cara is studying to become a teacher, but she also wants to help her bounty hunting sisters. So she decides to catch a bad guy.

Ok stop here, Cara, what were you thinking?! Not without back up from people who know what they are doing! She is just lucky the bounty is a hot nice guy.

Henry is accused of murder and has fled.

Ok so yes, she does get friendly with a murderer on the run, and trusts him quickly. But hey maybe he had really kind eyes. And well, I believe it.

Honestly there is so much going

My rating might be a bit biased but I’m so excited that I liked this one so much more than Molly and John’s story that I just can’t feel guilty over it! The anticipation for this new series has been revitalized :)

Cara’s book was set at a slightly faster pace than the previous book. It also didn’t have any information dumping when it came to the other sisters, didn't re-hash the whole story regarding the stolen necklace, the missing criminal mom or convoluted family history. I think that helped a

I read the first book of this saga earlier this year and I really enjoyed it. Actually it's on my list of "Best romances of 2019", I was looking forward to reading Cara's book because she was the complete opposite of Molly.

As much as I wanted to love this book I couldn't do it. Cara and Henry were cute together. Even if he's a suspected killer you can't help but root for him (because you know he's one of the good guys) and his interactions with Cara made me smile and laugh out loud sometimes

DNF @ 80% - I read a fair amount of this book trying to understand it. The meet-cute between the two characters is, to me, highly problematic (she's a bounty hunter, he's an accused murderer). Though it's fairly obvious Henry is innocent, Cara is attracted to him even before she has an inkling of his innocence. Coupled with the premise and the writing, this just wasn't for me.
Cara Pax is a researcher not a bounty hunter, but with the sisters spread thin due to their mother stealing a priceless necklace and (probably) skipping bail they need all hands on deck. The trouble is Cara isn't particularly good and her first trace, Henry Kavenski, catches her breaking into his hotel room and Cara is pretty sure he didn't buy her flimsy excuses about looking for her boyfriend.

After striking out with Henry Cara decides to try a simpler capture, which turns about to be anything

In the first book in this series, In Her Sights, readers met the five spunky Pax sisters. They have running a lucrative bail recovery business. Keeping their mother Jane on the right side of the law was a job all on its own. Now that she has committed yet another crime, skipping bail after putting up the girls' family house up as bail, the business and family home are now in jeopardy.

Now Cara has her turn at bat. However, she is the least likely sister that has a chance at succeeding in this

Risk It All is the second book in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters by Katie Ruggle. The story is not completely stand-alone and while it can be read as such, I would recommend reading book 1 (In her sights) or at least reading some reviews of it. While we still have the plot about the Pax mama going on, the main focus is on Henry and what is going on about him, so I don't believe that readers will have a huge problem jumping into this book without having read the previous one. Like the first ...more

Risk It All is the 2nd book in a series with the fascinating premise of five sisters running a bounty hunting agency. Cara is the sister featured in this book. She is normally a researcher and computer expert for the agency, but is trying to do some work in actually finding and apprehending bond jumpers in this book. Henry is an accused murderer who has skipped out on his bail, so the sisters are responsible for finding and bringing him in. Cara goes out on her own to locate him, without any of ...more

Cara Pax doesn’t want to be a bounty hunter. Her dream is to become a kindergarten teacher, but knows the bounty hunting is what pays for her college classes. She may be a wiz on the computer, able to research all aspects of a case, but she hasn’t done much field work. Since her sisters are all busy on other cases, she takes it upon herself to jump in the field tracking Henry Kavenski. As she continues her research and her surveillance, she becomes convinced that he isn’t guilty.

She is quirky
For most of this book Cara was in over her head, guilted into helping her sisters save their house. Cara was lucky that all was not as it seemed and Henry was a good guy. Things quickly go crazy for them and they are on the run. By the end of the book I was happy that Cara found out the truth and that she found her happy.

Oh my God. I love this series. It's perfection. I don't know how Ruggle had me falling in love with accused murderer and bail jumper Henry Kavenski and I don't care. What's a couple murders when the guy's gorgeous, enormous, and surly? I'll still dig it.

Ruggle is writing about 5 sisters and somehow they all have incredible defined personalities. I could pick them apart by their dialogue alone. And, while this book is mostly following Cara and Henry on their twosome adventures, it's not without

The story of the Pax sister bounty hunters continues in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series. Cara is the heroine of this story. A romance with bounty hunters, an accused murderer, a homicidal crime figure, car chase, and kidnapping shouldn't be cute and cuddly, but Cara and Henry's story is full of adorable. This was pure rom-com sweetness, mixed with a lot of lethal threats.

Despite her family's bounty hunter business, Cara really is a lover, not a fighter. But despite her goal to become a kindergarten teacher and the murder charge pending against Henry,

Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters #2, This was such a fun read. I like that it gives you a brief recap at the beginning of the book to catch you up if you haven't read the first one or just a refresher if you have. Cara is not a skip trace like her other sisters she prefers the research when she's not studying to become a teacher but with the crap going on with her mom and two of her sisters concentrating their efforts on finding her she tries to help out unfortunately she just gets

Ruggle balances romantic suspense tradition—non-stop action, a protective, taciturn alpha hero—with an unexpectedly un-kick-ass heroine to appeal both to those who enjoy the standard RS tropes and those who appreciate them leavened with a bit of humor and a whole lot of cuteness.

Twenty-two year old Cara is the odd sibling out in the Pax family's Colorado bounty-hunting business. Unlike her sisters, Cara isn't tough and adventurous; good on background and research,

Second in the series about the five Pax sisters and their bounty hunting business, you shouldn't have too much trouble picking up the plot if you missed out on reading the first one… but if you did read In Her Sights, don't expect much plot progression on the main drama introduced there, because this one really just takes a diversion and doesn't introduce any new information on that original plot.

Said diversion being the introduction of Henry, a bail skip with a big bounty the sisters could

Risk It All is the second book in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series. I like books about bounty hunters in general but the twist in this series is that they are women. I liked this installment in the series. Cara is an intelligent woman who gets in way over her head while trying to help the business. Ruggle's Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunter Series is more than expected. I need to go back and pick up "IN Her Sights" the first in this story. This family of sibling running a bounty hunting business is a refreshing idea. Her efforts lead her into danger and put her life in the balance. Henry Kavenski is one of her skips and ...more

Cara tried to make money for her family who is financially struggling by bringing in a bounty. She puts herself at risk and ultimately makes herself a target. The setting is so descriptive it actually reminded me that I am terrified of heights. The characters are multifaceted. I enjoyed this book immensely and will seek out other work by this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Cara is...geez, how to put this? Cara has many stellar qualities--qualities that will make her a great teacher once everything comes together--but she's not the best at field work when it comes to bounty hunting. Given the situation their mother left her and her sisters in, she's determined to pull her weight and contribute to the Pax coffers. Which is totally noble and understandable, right?

Except...Cara has a soft heart and she's convinced the man she's following to take in isn't guilty of the
Continues the story of the Pax sisters. This is a return to form, with a more developed hero than the first book in the series. I've just realized, a day after finishing it, that it gives a really good, visceral depiction of their surroundings and experiences. I usually sort of skim over chase scenes, but this one pulled me in.

Cara tries to help bring in some income by doing a little skip-tracing, but it's really not her jam; the accused murderer she's trying to apprehend winds up saving her

Risk It All is the second novel in Katie Ruggle's Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series, and while I wasn't a fan of the first novel in the series, In Her Sights, giving it only 2 stars, I decided to give this series a second try and requested an advance reader copy.
