Clear-eyed, sensible, guidance for getting over any "money issues" you have and building a practice that pays well. Outlines the psychological and practical steps necessary to clarify what you want your private practice to look like, how much your time is worth, and what marketing techniques fit your personality.

Author has a down-to-earth writing style that flows well... but really needs to hire a copy editor.

An easy read with enough helpful information in it to get therapists on the path to establishing profitable businesses. The chapters are intentionally short and end with questions designed to get readers to interact with the material and, more importantly, to see what things in them are hindering them from taking action. Truffo starts by challenging therapists to engage with their attitudes and beliefs about money. She reminds them that even though therapy is a service, it is still a business and must be profitable in order to be sustainable. Truffo next addresses how to market your business. Her two most helpful points for me were to choose an ideal type of client to market to and approach potential referrers with the question, "How may I be of service to you?" Again, Truffo challenges her readers to engage with their own attitudes and beliefs to marketing, especially in a field that often views itself as a service that should not have to market itself.
