It is the first book I’ve read by this author but it is part of series, which I’ve started reading from the beginning. You can read this as standalone too!
It took me a moment to really connect with the character but within the first 2 chapter, I found myself so deeply invested. The more I read the more I swooned.
The author wrote an amazing male lead. He wasn’t one to settle down, or want marriage, kids, or love for that matter, he didn’t want to like his family, he loved ...more
I have really enjoyed all the books in this series and this one was just as enjoyable. This reads as a stand-alone.
I wasn’t sure when I started reading with Rosie being a princess but I need not have worried as Rosie settled in to Calamity fine. Brodie was as broody as ever but it was nice to see him suddenly realise that he had found what his brothers had and that the bachelor life for him was over.
There was mild angst but you knew you were going to get ...more
It’s FINALLY Brodie’s turn! I’ve been all in with the Bowie brothers since Fin stole my heart in The World’s Worst Boyfriend. Since then, I’ve eagerly waited on each brother’s book and though he’s last, Brodie is in no way least.
The Reluctant Boyfriend brings readers to Brodie Bowie’s door. Brodie has always been the steady brother, the only one that didn’t have to be lured back to Calamity, Wyoming. Robbed of his chance to compete in the Olympics after a career-ending injury, Brodie ne ...more
I thought this book was good, definitely not as good as the previous books I've read in this series. I thought Rosie was a bit childish in the beginning of the book, but as you read more she grows into a more confident, determined woman. Brodie on the other hand was a great character. I wish they touched more on his past and his feelings about it because I felt like that was just a fleeting thought. I wish the other Bowie brothers and their significant others played a large ...more
Rosie and Brodie's story had me hooked straight away. It flowed well and I definitely was able to keep up despite it being book 4 in the series.
I'm going to go back to book 1 and read the first 3 because this one was so damn good

I'm not a huge fan of Royalty books, so this book was such an AMAZING surprise. I loved this book and I loved Rosie & Brodie. It's the perfect conclusion to a great series.
Brodie will steal your heart. He is absolutely BBF material in the best way. He's not looking for love, so when it creeps up there's no way you won't fall for him. Rosie is fun, sweet, smart and pleasantly easy to identify with. She's fighting to figure out who she is and what she wants to stand for. She struggles wit...more
I love it when a romance heroine has a career that's atypical. In Princess Rosie's case, she's a perfume chemist, trying to expand her family's perfume line while also dealing with the fact that even though she's royalty, she's only important because she can provide an heir. That wasn't an issue when she was set to marry her fiance - until she finds out he's cheating on her. She escapes to Calamity under the guise of a wedding dress fitting, but finds a field ...more
I really enjoyed this book a lot. I liked Rosie and Brodie. The push and pull of their relationship was done really well. Rosie's life was so structured and she was wracked with guilt over doing something teenagers do and that made her into the dutiful daughter. But after she finds her fiance in a closet with another woman, she flees to Calamity which was the best thing for her. She found her place and the man who could value ...more
Rosalina has been betrayed by those she thought she could trust and now her plans for the future have taken an abrupt U-turn. As a princess she knows her destiny is to marry and create heirs, but she deserves a little time for herself and she is going to take it.
Brodie is the single brother, happy to live a commitment free life and concentrate on building the ghost town his father bought into a thriving t ...more
