Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews
I love when a series ends on a high note and that’s exactly what author Erika Kelly delivered in The Reluctant Boyfriend, a perfect ending to what has been an outstanding series.

Finding her fiancé and her personal assistant in a compromising position, Princess Rosalina Anais Isabella Villeneuve (aka Rosie) head to Calamity, Wyoming for a wedding dress fitting but what she finds is wide open spaces, a flower that her perfumer soul wants, and a man who intrigues her like no other. But duty calls

Less than perfect has never hurt so good. The wait is over, but the fun has just begun. With The Bad Boyfriend series, Kelly doesn't shy away from charming. She captivates with delectable characters that wrap themselves around a heart. The Bodie Brothers are clueless when it comes to romance, but all in when it comes to falling in love. From the first hello to the final goodbye, Rosalind and Brodie are a match made out of the unpredictable, but the sweetest kind of heaven. The Reluctant Boyfrien ...more

This book was amazing!
It is the first book I’ve read by this author but it is part of series, which I’ve started reading from the beginning. You can read this as standalone too!

It took me a moment to really connect with the character but within the first 2 chapter, I found myself so deeply invested. The more I read the more I swooned.

The author wrote an amazing male lead. He wasn’t one to settle down, or want marriage, kids, or love for that matter, he didn’t want to like his family, he loved

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

I have really enjoyed all the books in this series and this one was just as enjoyable. This reads as a stand-alone.

I wasn’t sure when I started reading with Rosie being a princess but I need not have worried as Rosie settled in to Calamity fine. Brodie was as broody as ever but it was nice to see him suddenly realise that he had found what his brothers had and that the bachelor life for him was over.

There was mild angst but you knew you were going to get

Overall I thought The Reluctant Boyfriend was an enjoyable read. It took me a while to warm up to Rosalina and Brodies characters and get into the story but if you've liked the other books in this series then you will enjoy.

It’s FINALLY Brodie’s turn! I’ve been all in with the Bowie brothers since Fin stole my heart in The World’s Worst Boyfriend. Since then, I’ve eagerly waited on each brother’s book and though he’s last, Brodie is in no way least.

The Reluctant Boyfriend brings readers to Brodie Bowie’s door. Brodie has always been the steady brother, the only one that didn’t have to be lured back to Calamity, Wyoming. Robbed of his chance to compete in the Olympics after a career-ending injury, Brodie ne

I thought this book was good, definitely not as good as the previous books I've read in this series. I thought Rosie was a bit childish in the beginning of the book, but as you read more she grows into a more confident, determined woman. Brodie on the other hand was a great character. I wish they touched more on his past and his feelings about it because I felt like that was just a fleeting thought. I wish the other Bowie brothers and their significant others played a large

This is the first book I've read by Erika Kelly's and the first in this series. It can absoloutely be read as a standalone.

Rosie and Brodie's story had me hooked straight away. It flowed well and I definitely was able to keep up despite it being book 4 in the series.

I'm going to go back to book 1 and read the first 3 because this one was so damn good

I'm not a huge fan of Royalty books, so this book was such an AMAZING surprise. I loved this book and I loved Rosie & Brodie. It's the perfect conclusion to a great series.

Brodie will steal your heart. He is absolutely BBF material in the best way. He's not looking for love, so when it creeps up there's no way you won't fall for him. Rosie is fun, sweet, smart and pleasantly easy to identify with. She's fighting to figure out who she is and what she wants to stand for. She struggles wit

I was given an ARC of The Reluctant Boyfriend for an honest review. I have to say I have mixed feeling I loved the characters & I love that Princess Rosalina is strong and confident but I felt that the story was wordy at times & the sexual tension between her and Brodie was enough already especially with her throwing up in his face he never finishes anything before he move on to the next project. Princess Rosalina has found out her best friend soulmate & Fiancé was cheating on her wi ...more

Received an ARC for an honest review.

I love it when a romance heroine has a career that's atypical. In Princess Rosie's case, she's a perfume chemist, trying to expand her family's perfume line while also dealing with the fact that even though she's royalty, she's only important because she can provide an heir. That wasn't an issue when she was set to marry her fiance - until she finds out he's cheating on her. She escapes to Calamity under the guise of a wedding dress fitting, but finds a field

*I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

I really enjoyed this book a lot. I liked Rosie and Brodie. The push and pull of their relationship was done really well. Rosie's life was so structured and she was wracked with guilt over doing something teenagers do and that made her into the dutiful daughter. But after she finds her fiance in a closet with another woman, she flees to Calamity which was the best thing for her. She found her place and the man who could value

Having enjoyed “I Want You to Want Me” and “Take Me Home Tonight”, both books in this author’s Rock Romance series, I had reasonable expectations I would continue to like her writing style. Here’s to hoping it was just me, folks, but I just couldn’t get into this particular romantic read. From the stilted writing, lack luster, wooden characters, and just pain boring set-up, I was down for the count early on. I’m even a big fan of royalty meets cowboy type backdrops, so that wasn’t the issue here ...more

Brodie has watched his brother’s find the women that they want to spend their lives with he feels like he is on the outside looking in however the bonus is that leaves more women for him as he has no interest in following their paths.

Rosalina has been betrayed by those she thought she could trust and now her plans for the future have taken an abrupt U-turn. As a princess she knows her destiny is to marry and create heirs, but she deserves a little time for herself and she is going to take it.

The Reluctant Boyfriend by Erika Kelly is the fourth book in the Bad Boyfriend Series. After reading this book it only made me want to start at the beginning of the series. It is very well written for Brodie and Princess Rosalina. A sweet royalty romance where she ends up where she belongs. You can really feel the pressure Rosalina’s family put on her to just do what is demanded of her from past generations. The way Brodie and Rosalina touch each other lives and rub on each other way of living. ...more

The Princess and the businessman were from two completely different world but yet they were perfect for each other. They met when she was trying to get clarity in what was happening in her life. Brodie made Rosalina feel “normal”. His family accepted her and none treated her differently. Brodie was never about falling in love, marriage, kids, etc until he met Rosalina. It wasn’t instalove but it was a beautiful love story with some humorous moments and you’ll love Rosalina because she wasn’t you ...more

The fourth, standalone book in Erika Kelly’s Bad Boyfriend series is a fun, feel-good royal romance that will have you laughing, smiling and swooning. I’ve loved all of the Bowie brothers, but Brodie might be my favorite. He’s a little cynical about love — until he falls hard and fast for Princess Rosalina.

Who doesn't love the Bowie clan? I sure know I do. Brodie and Rosie spark from the moment they meet and holy crap yes. Rosie is one bad*ss princess and she makes for one hell of a 21st century princess.
