If You Give a Pig the White House: A Parody for Adults

Rate this book
A coiffed and blustery pig has shoved his way into the White House! A cleverly worded and illustrated picture book, this is the adult parody of the beloved children's cautionary tale, If You Give a Pig a Pancake.

Watch in dismay as the presidential pig gets into trouble, binges on too much Fox News and fast food, and cavalierly threatens national security. If You Give a Pig the White House both lovingly caricatures the original children's book and shows just what can happen when a greedy anti-hero tracks his hooves all over America.

A childs book designed as a parody on the President of the United States. Truly, Leftist have gone to a level of diseased and ineptitude that now uses a childs book to defame a President over whomthe have so much disdain. Apparently, News Media and constant bias arent enough but they must now work at toddlers and children to disparage the Presidency they didnt get. Barnes and Noble, Macmillan Publishing, Target have now joined in the myriad of tabloid magazines to lower themselves into the feces of published Leftist politic. Congratulations, you've become the garbage.

This facetious satire of one of the world's best-known men and one of the toughest jobs out there delivers a funny parody making light of our current president's most conspicuous traits as well as his most momentous and noteworthy gaffes. The short story is buoyed by the clever illustrations and all together makes for a humorous read.

Worth a read no matter which side of the political fence you stand on because let's face it, we all make mistakes and laughing at someone else's faults makes our own imperfections a little less glaring and a lot more tolerable.

I read this at the bookstore in about four minutes, and correctly guessed it was written by a female. A bitter, misinformed, and angry one at that. Not one thing is truthful in this short illustrated book, save for the fact the White House exists. Great humor and parody is rooted in truth. Miss Knouse’s trajectory is way off and misses the mark.

Don’t waste your time is my recommendation.

Amusing but not laugh out loud funny. It takes about 2 minutes to read and look at the illustrations. And you do want to look at the illustrations!

However, I feel this book is disrespectful. It's disrespectful to pigs.... they are much more intelligent than the orange buffoon currently squatting in the White House. Also, real pigs aren't evil. I much prefer them to Cheeto-Man, and a real pig would make a much better president.

(I originally rated this 3 stars. However, to counter all the Far Right trump worshippers'-outraged one stars (people who probably didn't even look at the book), I'm upping it to 5. These are no doubt people who were disrespectful to President Obama and his family for eight years and now demand that trump should be respected simply because he's president. Um. No, he shouldn't. He's an ignorant evil asshat and unworthy of respect.)

I don’t even have to write a review and it’s hilarious and pretty much all true. I see how all the Reps chime in in his defense trying to say that this is bitter and awful and all kinds of crap but can’t see all the lies, treason, corruption and a multitude of other wrongs against my country and my fellow Americans at all. Oh, this book is way worse. Whatever, get over it. Freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom, freedom, freedom. I suppose if he can commit all those atrocities then someone can publish a book about it.

I think your "book", and I use that term loosely, is disgusting and pathetic!!!! You should be ashamed of yourself for writing such trash and the worst part is that you have aimed it at children. You certainly have a right to your opinion, but writing a "childrens" book displaying such disrespect for the highest office in our country is pathetic and it tells me a lot about who you are!!!! I didn't like Obummer but I put up with him for 8 years and never disrespected the office.

Freedom of speech is one thing but any business supporting or making money off of this should be boycotted. It is the psychotic left that is not only angry & misinformed, but it is indoctrination and has to stop. I will be sure to look up where this will be sold and let all the 70 million known Trump supporters know to boycott. You don’t have to like or vote for President Trump, but it seems the biggest thing the left does to weaken this country, is teaching children not to respect our country’s leader. TDS is real and should be treated, not used for sick leftist agendas!

Love it

This is an awesome parody. We need something to laugh at. Maybe the sequel could be “When You Give A Pig An Impeachment”
I find it interesting that none of the negative seem to have come from verified purchasers.

I'm only leaving this review because there's no other way to counter all the stupidity posted on here by people who have not read the book nor do they realize it's NOT FOR CHILDREN. Jesus. If you're gonna complain, at least get it right.

This book is horrible and any idiot that actually tries to "brainwash" their own child with this garbage should be ashamed of themselves. Let the children develop their own opinion. They get enough brainwashing in schools from teachers. And this publishing company says its "respected". You don't even know what the word means! This is a Brit attacking OUR country. Well Brit, Brexit America, you are not welcome here.

ZERO stars or anything else. What a disgraceful attempt to brainwash children. Join your socialist democrat shameless fools and burn your book on the violent-crime ridden streets of Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and everywhere else these people lurk. Dems have so much to be ashamed of. One more example.

Indoctrination. I wonder what the response would have been if this kind of garbage was published in say, 2008-2016?! There would have been outrage along with the familiar cries of “racist!” by the left. I’ve got news fir you, like it or not, President Trump is, and will continue to be, your President! Trump2020

The events in this book have happened, or a version of them have. People rating it one star are angry that the truth hurts... but that doesn't make it not the truth. This book is a perfect example of a parody and the illustrations are great. Bravo to the author and illustrator, Macmillan for publishing it, and the stores stocking it. It's amazing that the same people who screech about their second amendment have forgotten the FIRST amendment. It was first because it's most important.

I definitely got a chuckle out of this one! I am well aware of all the " pig points" mentioned, because here in Canada, we are privy to all the antics and shenanigans of good ole "Cheeto Man" (as some American friends refer to him). The illustrations also tell a story in themselves! Since it is a parody written for adults in mind, please do not think this book is appropriate for children; however, it is a great bedtime story for grown-ups!

Funny adult satire

This is not a children's book. It's a joke written for adults in a satire of a children's book. It's laugh out loud funny if it weren't so true.

Hilarious! The people giving it a low review obviously misunderstand what a parody is
Cute illustrations, comically written. Gives us a bit of humour in an otherwise scary presidential term
Fun read and will keep it for years!

Amazing. This human being (that's questionable) has written a disgusting book, of hatred, lies, and another perfect example of the demonic infested mindset of the Demonic, democratic party. If there was ever a reason to burn a book, this would be the first book to throw in the fire. She would have never gotten away with trashing demonic Obamie, or any muslim.

I am not a Trump fan but I do treat and teach my children to be respectful if the Presidential position and White House and do you believe that was easy when Clinton, my own party President was in there? This is very wrong and to make it a children’s book. Very shameful and distasteful.

Saw this at the store. Again the left using children to undermine American values.
Our President is the first one in my lifetime that has finally stood up for the US first. 4 more years is coming. What will be your sequel then?

Sadly, this book is as accurate as it gets. Trump supporters who havent even read the book are rating it in hopes of trying to deter others from reading it. Just do your best to ignore the decrepit boomers posting one star reviews.
I find it hilarious that Trump supporters like to call everyone else snowflakes when they cant even handle a book written by someone with a differing political perspective. Get a freaking life, people.

Haha. I don’t know which is funnier, the concept of this book, or the Trumpazees with their panties in a twist because they don’t understand what a parody is. The reviews are pretty funny, especially because all the ones with misspellings, improper use of punctuation, and poor grammar are the one star reviews. The thing is, they aren’t parodies of our weak minded president’s tweets, but rather a demonstration as to how he was able to fool enough weaker minded folks into voting for him.

How sad that we’ve come to this - more divisive rhetoric not even thinly disguised. Further division of the country is going to kill the Democratic Party folks! Stop it! Stop it now! Direct your voice to something that works. Get out the vote, volunteer, anything besides name calling and helping divide the US even more!

Absolutely Delightful! Loved It! It's a cute little parody. Bought one for my granddaughter for when she's old enough to learn about the Cowardly Private Bone-Spurs who
gained the white house the year she was born because of a nation full of Idiots.

Hysterical. Another great adult parody book (if you think this is actually aimed at children, look up satire please). The storyline would do Numeroff proud.

I find it completely insulting & disturbing as a children’s author that this book mimics a very popular children’s book for our youth. Our world doesn’t need more bashing of our President. If you think our kids won’t pick up this book up mistaking for a kids book and read it, you’re wrong. Find your own unique distasteful way to bash our President without compromising our children!
