Author Ivy Hearne brings is the last book of the first year for Kacie at the Hunters' Academy. The Academy's new headmaster now knows that the darkness that Kacie has sensed is growing near and has prepared by calling all the alumni hunters back to the school. While he is doing that Kacie and her hunting partners and friends decide that they would have their own backup plan. Soon the battle starts and the one wizard that is being used by the darkness stands in front of Kacie as she uses her powers to fight him. This is a great end to the first part of this series and I am looking forward to both the year 2 books and the novella that takes place in between. I highly recommend this series to all Fantasy fans.

I think this book would be way better if there was a larger fight scene, and if it went a little more in depth. The other negative is there are quite a few typos. Other than this the story is really enjoyable. I like all of the characters, and am looking forward to learning more about Joliet, but I'm not sure if she published the books. It seems like it but I can't find them. I am looking forward to seeing how the story will continue to develop with Kacie's second year at the Hunter's Academy.

These little episodes are too short. I want more! So much is happening. The only drawback is some editing issues. Some missing words and typos are definitely prevelant and i had to read slower a couple times to figure out what was missing but the story is really good.

Very enjoyable great reading
Wow I hate these short stories sometimes just when it's getting real good it ends then I have to wait for the next book to see what happens next for Kacie and her friends at the Academy.

Right when I think I have this figured out, new players are introduced not to mention an academy for the opposing side! Of course this opens all kinds of possibilities but the fight against the dark isn’t over yet! Looking forward to year two! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

Not proof read words left out and sentences not completed. This distracts from the story. But still enjoyable to read
