My name is Aella, and Fate wants me dead.

According to entertainment news, I’m the Angel of the Las Vegas Strip, the most sold-out singer at the Pandemonium Casino. According to the higher races—who I didn’t even know existed up till now—I’m part of the bloodline, which means I’m part-human, part-something else.

It also means I’m a threat to Fate’s precious balance.

Book 6 in FF series by Ophelia Bell
Absolutely loved this book. Thankfully you finally get Aella and her three wind mates story.
So you meet Aella in previous FF story and kinda found out the ending but it’s really nice to actually find out what went on with brothers and why they wanted Aella to pick between them.
i love that all the wind brothers are completely different and I really liked that they all smelled different too.
This book ties everything in really nicely into the rest of series an

Aella was a singer but she was special. One of the Fates wanted her dead. Baird, one of the fates sons had been keeping watch over Aella. He showed himself to her and told her that her life was in danager and that she was his mate. She did not go for this at all. Baird only had a little while to convince her of this before he lost the body he was in. He was one of the winds and did not have a physical body. She said she would have to think about it. He ran out of time and he had to leave, he told ...more

Aella's cameo in Fool's Errand was a bit puzzling - it seemed random.

This book helps fill in those blanks! The climax of Eye of the Hurricane overlaps with the one of the most dramatic scenes in Fool's Errand.

Three winds, children of Fate, are brothers who cannot abide each other. All vie for Aella's favor, hoping she will choose one of them for her mate, and thus, so they believe, break the curse that denies them permanent bodies.

Baird/Boreas, the North Wind, tries first, but his method of appr

Normally I get drawn into this authors world and if not right away pretty quickly connect with the characters. For me this one seemed to be more informational than character driven. Aella just discovered she’s not a human and is getting the inside on all of the other species that are hiding in plain sight.

As for the 3 winds Boreas, Notos and Eurus they basically only blow in to be intimate with Aella and as such we don’t really get to know them. Because of their curse they don’t have physical b

Fate’s Fools - Novella – Eye of the Hurricane
This is the story of Aella, beautiful singer of the Bloodline who has caught the eye of three demigods, Baird, Ezra and Syd. They are three of the four cardinal winds.
Cursed by their own mother (Fate in this case) to wander the centuries without human form of their own, the three brothers are forced to beg favours from Gaia (Earth Mother) to take human form through the borrowed body and energy of a falcon. This is for a limited time period, until the

The four winds were the sons of Fate. Eons ago, after having fathered a race called the turul, Fate cursed them to live without permanent physical forms trying to maintain control over their lives. The turul race was cursed as well, just not as severely. Once the turul curse was broken, then the four winds curse would be broken. But Fate wanted the bloodline, humans who had the blood of the higher races, wiped out rather than helping them find mates. You see, without a mate, they become an easy ...more

I love Ms. Bell's mind and the world she creates within her stories. I especially love the new take she had taken with the Fate's Fools series and their spin-offs. I think it brings all her other book series worlds together. Each world is set within our but the main paranormal species is unique to that series and so steamy. They are always a #whychoose and I love it. Her characters are free to love and fight for love. This spin-off is set with the main world of Fate's Fools and brings in other c ...more
Having read the first four books of the Fate's Fools series, I was happy to see that Ophelia Bell decided to write Aella and her 3 mates story (Ezra, Syd and Baird) and was not disappointed with the outcome. It is fast paced and filled with steamy scenes as Aella meets each brother separately and falls in love.

Once Ezra, Syd and Baird hear Aella sing, it is insta-love. The only problem standing in the way is that they do not have permanent bodies, the brothers can't stand each other and oh yes,

So, the 3 sons were looking out for Aella. They were cursed with temporary bodies, the winds. They believed the curse would be lifted when Aella chose one of them as mate. Aella was partial to all three. Why have to choose? Baird, Ezra and Sid. Sid explained the particulars with the curse. Sid suggested the ultimate solution ...more

The singing of a bloodline linked songstress is enough that Boreas, Eurus and Notos all fall in love. The catch is none of them has a permanent body. If you have read the Fate’s Fools series by this author then you had a glimpse of Aella and a brief intro to her character. This is my favorite type of story because it expands upon that intro and expands upon the world building that this author has mastered. She continues to breathe life into characters that we feel we have to get to know better. ...more

This was a fantastic story. While I have not reaf the Fate's Fools series i was still very much able to follow the story without feeling like I was missing something. Yes, it may have cleared up a few things if i had but this was definitely a great story to read alone. Aella is a fabulous character that has this sweet and sassy side. Our three winds ate superbly developed as well. Their personalities come through the story very nicely. I loved how unique it storyline is. It is a story that has y ...more

If you thought brothers could fight on the most erratic of things, then this book takes that idea to a global scale. Aella, our main girl, is a songstress that her singing is so magical that it brought her the attention of 3 of the winds. And not just any winds, it’s the 3 of the 4 cardinal direction winds who also happen to hate each other. But what happens when you throw in the fact that their mother, Fate just so happens to want her dead? Follow Aella on her journey to survive Fate and even m ...more

I am a real fan of this series and I really enjoyed reading this novella featuring some of the characters who play a part in the main series.

She is learning about her connection to the bloodlines and it really changes her life. Temptation comes in the form of brothers who have been denied love for too long.

These brothers really don't know how to get along well and she is determined to get them to play nicely. They each have a very distinct personality and tons of sex appeal.

Ophelia Bell knows how to write a suspenseful fast-paced story that will keep you engaged from start to finish, with action, adventure, danger, suspense, twists, intrigue, humor, romance, passion, and love. Aella is a wonderful character who is both sweet and sassy. Each of her three mates has a very distinct personality and hot chemistry with Aella, but don’t really know how to get along with each other without fighting. For Aella they will try to work as a team. Ophelia Bell takes us on an emo ...more

Wow Ophelia Bell has been bringing out amazing stories lately and this one Eye of the Hurricane blew me away it’s so amazing. This is the story of Aella who is an amazing singer on the Las Vegas Strip who never thought that she was anything more than human until she meets 3 Demi God brothers who when they hear Aella sing fall instantly in love with her. If you read her nobody's fool book you got a glimpse at Allea's story. I am so glad she wrote this as I wanted to know how she tamed three of the winds. As we new zepheras was already taken they left the three brothers who fight worse than kids. But I see how a voice from Allea as described would get their attention and her with the wanting to fly helped to. I loved their way of protecting her and have to say glad Deva came along to snap some sense into them. I loved how each was part of what sh ...more

So this can be read as a stand alone but you will enjoy it more after reading the first four of the fate's fool series. It is kinda like speed dating since the Winds ( the males) don't have physical forms and have to inhabit one temporarily in order to woo Aella, they believe their curse ( no physical bodies)will be broken if she agrees to mate one of them, they don't have much time to convince her and I groaned at how badly some of them did. But it's definitely a page gripper and has a HEA, DEF ...more

★ Breaking Fate's curse ★

—>>> Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - Three of the Four Wind brothers are drawn to the voice of one very popular singer, Aella, who as it turns out, is no ordinary human. One by one, she encounters them, implored by each to mate in order to break them free of a longstanding curse, one which was placed upon them by Fate, their mother. This standalone includes an interesting and eclectic mix of age-old dragon Guardians and a bevy of other characters who aid Aella in her

This story is the perfect complement to the Fates Fools series.
Aella is a beautiful character, she feels alone and abandoned by her family. Her security is the closest thing she has to friends.
One night changes all that.
Baird is intense and she can't help but feel drawn to him. Then she meets Ezra and Syd. Life gets very complicated very quickly.
I love the character development. The plot detail and thoroughly enjoyed the story arc.
I highly recommend this book.

I will never get enough of these stories. Just when I think I understand this insane world of Ophelia Bell’s, she rocks out another amazing, intense and mind blowing story. And damn are they hot. This one takes place during the Fates Fools series and centers around the Winds and Aella. Aella is an amazing woman and singer but she is so much more. And the three unmated winds are definitely a storm waiting to happen. Expect a lot of sibling fighting. The romance is sweet and funny at times and wil ...more

I really enjoyed this spinoff book. While it was individual it also contained characters from previous books by Ophelia Bell. The book was well written and the story and characters were well developed. I loved the new characters and the mix of some older faces. I enjoyed the character dynamics and their individual personalities. The story was excellent. It was action packed and had plenty of suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this book!!

Love, love, loved this book!! Set in the world that Fate's Fools series is set in we get to watch as Aella, who is a side character from Fate's Fools, and her three mates have to stay away from the fates hounds. The only problem with Aella's mates is that even though they are brothers they fight whenever they are together.

What do you get when 3 of the 4 Demi-God Winds pine for the same amazing, mortal woman? It becomes one hell of a story!
Aella is bloodline and that means trouble when Fate rather not deal with the bloodline!
This book from start to finish is a whirlwind of some extra potent sexy times and one hell of a read! Once again Ophelia Bell proves that she can the best for us, no matter what higher race it is!!!

Super fun Read!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved how the story loosely revolves around Greek mythology but didn’t take the trendy and normal route, ie the book being about the big 12/ Olympians. Instead it involved 3 of the 4 Greek gods of the Winds. The story is packed full of adventure and action

Can she weather the storm
What an awesome book! I love how we really get to know this group with each turn of the page and how we get to see Deva and her men plus some of our other favorites from that series. (You really should read it if you haven’t already, this book will have so much more depth). I love how these three are able to overcome obstacles for the woman they love and find their HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book from this author.
