I'm fuming.
Why?
Because I've wasted my precious time by reading this disaster of a book. Don't get me wrong, I did like parts of it, but it just wasn't enough for me to get over HOW STUPID AND IRRITATING TAYLOR WAS. The first half-ish was alright, but the last half just fucked me right off.

Why is Taylor so dumb? I knew from when Hayze started displaying suspicious behaviour that his 'big' secret would be to do with (view spoiler) If I was not intel

'Hazed' is the first in what promises to be a fantastic new series by talented author Brittany Butler. This new adult novel starts out as young Taylor, a preacher’s daughter from rural Texas begins her freshman year at college.

Eager to get out from beneath the oppressive hand of her strict father she takes a job as a waitress in a local dive bar in order to earn some extra money. Things take off from there when Taylor encounters coworker/bartender Hayze Clark.

**I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and not influenced by my source.**

What drew me to this title was the promise of a romance gone bad. While I love a happy ending as much as the next girl, I want to see more romances that explore the potentially unhealthy aspects of romance. Especially in

Hazed is the first book in the Hazed & Unfazed Series by Brittany Butler. This is based on a true story- with elements of college romance, opposites attract, drawn to the bad boy, secrets, lies, obsession, and addiction, all playing a part in this interesting book.
Taylor Thompson thought college would bring her the freedom she desperately wanted, by getting her away from her incredibly strict father and the small town she called home. Getting a job as a waitress, introduces her to Hayze C

Hazed, book one in the Hazed series is written by Brittany Butler. It is a young adult romance that deal with a few issues which is more suited to a mature audience. I was taken in by this story from the beginning. Taylor's character intrigued me, but Hayze captivated me. I wanted to solve the mystery that was him. The author was brilliant at spinning his story, keeping me on the knife's edge. He was an enigma that had me very intrigued.

Taylor and Hayze were a puzzle desperately begging to solve

Hazed book 1 In the hazed series by Brittany Butler is my first book that I have read by this author. Hazed is a book about a young girl named Taylor who left a strict fathers home to head to college where she is learning about her shelf and what she wants in life. Taylor gets a job where she meets this handsome young man named Haze who is everything her father would be against. In this amazing read you learn about both Taylor and Haze and you fall in love with these two characters.. I personall ...more

Hazed is the first book in The Hazed Series by Brittany Butler. I admit, I didn't do my due diligence and found out at the end when it just...ends...that the story continues into Book 2 so be warned, this not a complete story and you will need to read on to find out what happens next.

With that said however it had an interesting plot and I suspect there is more to come with Scott and Lea. The overall writing and character development were both good but I just didn't feel a strong connection to t

Unlike anything I've ever read!
Determined to get away from her strict father, Taylor lands face first into, Hayze, and everything she wanted to steer clear of.
Hayze will have you swooning and cussing him out all within the same page.
Loved, loved, loved this book!

A good book is supposed to evoke feelings and emotions. This book certainly did that for me. I'm not sure what rating I want to give it so I'm going to free write and see if it comes together for me.

This is a Y/A coming of age/new age story that ticked me off in a lot of ways. The decisions the female protagonist makes are infuriating. I wanted to shake my kindle so that I could shake her and tell her... Well I can't tell you what I would tell her because then that would just ruin the story for

The story Hazed (The Hazed Series Book 1) by Brittany Butler is a new adult romance book. It is a story that draws you in and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I have finished the last page. It is a book about two people who can’t seem to stay away from each other. Taylor Thompson and Hayze Clark meet when she gets a job at a local bar. That Hayze is popular and could be called a player is not unnoticed by Taylor. Ta

WOW ! just from the prologue I knew I was in for heart break and I was trying to prepare myself but I was not prepared for the type of heart break that I ended up experiencing. This story was messy , ugly and tragic, But all in the best possible way. This heart break was different it stemmed from 2 people who can’t get there shit together and love one another with out problem. These 2 characters that are suffering and in pain due to situations that were Part of their adolescent upbringing. Ok so I have been officially Hazed...This is my first Brittany Butler book and all I can ask myself is Why? I loved this story, parts were not easy to read but that is because they were written in a way that made them feel so so real. I could feel the emotions these characters were feeling, I swear I could. The struggles that plague Hayze and his constant battle to prove he will fix them felt very real and I found myself falling hard for h

Hazed by Brittany Butler is book one of the Hazed Series. This book is recommended for readers over 17 due to some of the subject matter. The book does end with some loose ends so be prepared to want to read book two right away. This book is THAT good. I read this book in one sitting and can’t wait to read book two.

Brittney Butler is a new author for me, not knowing what to expect I went in expecting good things due to brilliant synopsis that was written, what I wasn’t expected was how brilliant and utterly captivating this story was.

This book did have some darkness due to some real raw parts of the storyline, but this author wrote them perfectly. They felt real, believable, raw and honest. This book brought a rollercoaster full of emotions for myself as the reader and also the characters Taylor and Hayze

I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT BOOK! Hazed is the first book in the Hazed Series by Brittany Butler. This story follows Taylor Thompson in her journey to become her own person. Coming from a home where her father is a preacher and didn’t allow her to do anything on her own terms, Taylor moved an hour away to go to college so that she can become someone completely different. Boys were not even in her view at this point. She just wanted a different life. That is until she meets Hayze Clark at the ba ...more

Hazed by Brittany Butler is the first book, I’ve read by this author. I wasnt really a fan of the book however the writing was good. Hayze is the sexy bartender where Taylor starts to work. There is an instant attraction between the two. Only problem is Hayze has the bad boy vibe going. Hayze is with a different girl every night and girls throw themselves at him on the regular.
Taylor doesn’t have much experience in anything. She grew up the daughter of a pastor and never had the chance to do any

This is a story thats hard to read as its so relatable.

The characters of this story (Taylor and Hayze) are very well written and so relatable you feel like you are living their lives with them.

Taylor is a young innocent woman who leaves home to go to college. She starts working at a bar where she meets Hayze.
Hayze is the bad boy, the player who treats women as playthings. As much as they try to fight it they fall for each other but the relationship is toxic.
Hayze has secrets from his past and h

Hazed is the first book that I have read by Brittany Butler and one that I really enjoyed. I liked the real feel to the story and I found that I was easily engaged in what I was reading. The author’s writing was really good, real, raw and emotional at times. I liked that I didn’t find the story too predictable either which meant I was guessing what was going to happen. Shock is too tamed of a word for how I feel right now. Hayze is bad the guy your parents tell you to stay away from. The boy that gets you hooked and then leaves you. But that’s just the surface of Hayze. Taylor sees that deep love and vulnerability inside him. Taylor makes him want to be and do better. I liked how Taylor still kept a flare of innocence about her. Yes she is breaking out of her shell but she is playing it smart. I’m not

Hazed by Brittany Butler was a phenomenal college romance read! It’s intense, emotional, touching and heart-wrenching, it was everything I wanted and more! This is the first book in the Hazed series and my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last!

Hazed (The Hazed Series Book 1) By Brittany Butler. This is the first in a series that I’m sure I’m going to love. This story definitely had my complete attention from beginning to end. There’s definitely times I knew I was in for an emotional roller coaster ride with the feelings written into this story. I’m excited to see where the author takes reader ...more

I loved this book and couldn’t put it down until the last page. This story is a little dark as it contains sensitive material but it made the story real for me. This story is about Taylor. She comes from a resistive home and manages to fall for her roomates brother. But the problem with Hayze is that he has a drinking and drug problem. Their story is an emotional ride for sure. I found myself hoping that there was a happy ending for them. It is worth picking it up, a must read!

Hazed ( The Hazed Series Book 1) by Brittany Butler is a story that had my emotions all over the place. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and couldn’t put it down till the end. I had to know what happens next. This story may be a little dark but I found myself relating to Taylor with a similar situation years ago. This is a book worth picking up and reading. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Hazed by Brittany Butler is book one in the Hazed series. Taylor is on her own for the first time, and she wants to enjoy making mistakes and making her own choices. And then she meets Hayze and her life really begins, her first love and heartbreak. You feel for both the main characters, at times they are hard to connect with, but you want to finish the story and see it through. Haze is full on drama, firsts and regret.

I loved the plot of this book. I think it is so hard for children of strict parents to lead any kind of normal life. So, when you go to college, and gain some freedom, well…. The MFC now knows what freedom can mean, and, it might not all be good! The MMC, oh boy! Looking forward to book 2!

I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
