Stunning illustrations throughout, and many of the rhymes have verses that have been left out in the more modern retellings, so it's lovely to see the longer versions!

I love me some Mother Goose books, but the illustrations in this one aren't as charming as they first seem. They're lush and detailed, but also a little harsh and awkward??
