An underwhelming second chance story. I wasn’t a fan of Lucas. Sure he had his moments but it wasn’t enough for me. Of course, that might be because I’m a Scorpio and I tend to hold onto a grudge like no one’s business.

Serious SPOiLERs....beware

Paige and Lucas were high school sweethearts that planned to get married and live in his grandpa’s house. Paige always want to travel and own a floral shop which Lucas knew. She wanted to go to a different college to earn a international business degree so she could achieve this dream. Lucas didn’t like his plans were being altered by Paige so Lucas gave her an ultimatum...either him or the different school. She didn’t want to break up. She just wanted some time to do this so she could achieve her dream. All she wanted was some time to do this. He never let her explain her plans or wants. It was pretty much his way or no way. So he dumps her because didn’t want the long distance thing and that wasn’t in the plans they originally made(personally I think he was just a fucking pussy). Anyways, he breaks up with her and of course beds several unknown chicks because that always works when you are trying to forget your supposed other half. He then meets another chick who is a supermodel (big surprise there) and dates her long term and ends up traveling all over the place with her. (Hmmm isn’t that what Paige was asking of him?!) Lucas’s grandfather dies and leaves that house to both Paige and Lucas! Now we come to the reconnection. Lucas was really a prick to Paige when they saw each other again and he never grew on me. Paige was not my favorite either but I liked her enough to wish she found someone else. She’s another heroine that loves the hero even during the 10 year separation (there’s that magic number). She at least had a couple of partners during the separation with a relationship that lasted a year but realized she couldn’t love him like the hero 🤮🤮🤢🤢 so she broke it off. There was one part where she confronted Lucas and I thought here we go, she’s gonna let him have it...but it was disappointing. I think when he went on all those trips with his model g-friend I lost all respect for him and no matter if he paved the driveway the yellow brick road and were to shit diamonds it wouldn’t have change my opinion on him. There are just some things you can’t come back from. So I really wish i could have ordered her a new hero because she deserved that at least. Oh yeah...of course he didn’t love Bianca (supermodel)...he was just with her because she was the opposite of the h and he knew he would never marry her (total cop out and once again H is a fucking pussy)

However, others appeared to have loved this story so maybe it’s just me🤷🏻‍♀️

4.5, Second Chance, Stars!!

“My momma used to tell me that once you open your heart to love, no matter what happens, you
always love that person”

“This kiss said a million unspoken things.”

Divided Interests is the third book in Southern Bride Series and follows the story of Paige and Lucas. Once upon a time, Paige and Lucas had the love and relationship that people dream of. But, when Paige wants to spread her wings and explore the world, she ends up getting her heart broken. Years later, a death in the family will reunite these former lovers. Paige and Lucas don’t want to be around each other, but fate has other plans. When Paige and Lucas are left a house, all Paige wants to do is restore it its former glory, while Lucas wants nothing more than to buy Paige out and sell the house. However, being in this old house brings back memories that neither one of them is eager to remember. It’s stirring up feelings that have been long forgotten. Will Paige and Lucas find their way back to one another? Or will the past be too hard to move on from?? There’s only one way to find out….

Divided Interests is a fantastic second romance with an enemies to lovers vibe. I loved the idea of these two former lovers becoming owners of the house they once loved. I mean, what could possibly go wrong with this scenario? I loved the push and pull and how the chemistry was still there, maybe even stronger than ever. Lucas is ashamed of the decisions he made in the past, but is letting his ego get in the way. He’s afraid of what will happen if he admits he was wrong. And then we have Paige. All Paige has ever wanted is Lucas. But, when Lucas broke her heart all those years ago, she was never able to heal. She was living life in a stand still. So, when fate threw these two back together, I couldn’t wait to see how their story would play out. I loved the emotions that this story pulled out of me and how it left me begging for more.

Overall, I found this book to be a very enjoyable read. The plot was fun and entertaining. I loved how Lucas and Paige were thrown together. I loved the will they/won’t they moments. I enjoyed the scavenger hunt that Lucas’ grandfather had them on. I loved the mystery that also surrounded the story. There was some drama, but thankfully, nothing over the top. It had the perfect balance of everything that I was looking for.

Divided Interests was a terrific story from beginning to end and I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in Lucas & Paige’s story.

Delightfully fun and oh so sexy, Divided Interests was everything I love about small town romance–with the added bonus of it also being a second chance at love *and* set in Texas. What more could a reader ask for?

I am so in love with Kelly Elliott’s writing style and with the awesome cast she created for Divided Interests. I swear I had a smile on my face just about the entire time I was reading thanks to the comical predicaments Paige and Lucas got into and their passionate natures. (That’s a nice way of saying they had some lively verbal sparring going on…lol) Read More

5 Star Review Divided Interests (Southern Bride #3) by Kelly Elliott

Where do I begin? Divided Interests is a second chance at love story that will draw you in and keep you invested throughout; I simply couldn’t put it down.

Paige Miller and Lucas Foster have history, they planned to spend forever together but plans change. Now they are face to face after both inheriting a half share in Lucas’s grandfathers house in Johnson City, Texas.

There were times when both the hero Paige and Lucas frustrated me, although it was mostly Lucas who I wanted to smack over the head and tell him to stop putting his foot in his mouth and to think before he spoke.

There were do many swoon worthy and laugh out loud moments reading this story that felt like I had a permanent smile on my face.

From the beginning you know that Lucas and Paige belong together, if only they can both forgive the hurts of the past. Their friendship is deep as is their connection and once they finally come to terms with the past, the intense chemistry that still sizzles between them soon becomes impossible to resist since they have both never stopped loving one another.

I loved this couple and the friends and family that surround them made this a fabulous and entertaining read.

This story was better than the last two BUT this is the one where I didn’t 100% loved the H. I mean he had his moments but like what he did to Paige was pretty stupid. The extra .5 star here is because I actually enjoyed this one more. The story wasn’t that dragged and actually had a plot. It was fine, I would’ve loved knowing the story about how they met or some stuff from when they were dating as teenagers, though. Paige was cool, I liked how she acted her age and had a good head on her shoulders. Tbh, the whole “slow” part of their relationship was super sweet and I liked that. The secrets and the mystery was pretty interesting, I really wasn’t expecting that! Overall, sweet story but weak H for me on this one.

Broken hearts, lost souls and a scavenger hunt. Divided Interests takes the scenic route to happily ever after. Elliott captures hearts with a haunting tale of love lost and found. The journey takes readers through a past filled with heartache and regret into a present that needs a chance to hope. Young love, foolish pride and an old house pave the way for a new beginning for one special couple. Lucas and Paige take a unique approach to love with mesmerizing results.

Lucas and paige, swoonworth, hot, funny, serious, to name but a few things about them.

I giggled along with them, sighed with them and cried with them But absolutely loved their story.

They were high school sweethearts,
who both then moved on from each other (unwillingly!) they had been apart for 10 years, and were brought back together by the sad loss of their meddling grandfather William, he was a bit of a prankster, or so it seemed, but he was a true romantic at heart.

I loved Lucas and Paige's reunion it was funny watching them both try to get one over on the other.

Oreo, the mysterious cat was a cutie, all knowing little son of a gun....

I loved how they fell back in with their long standing friends, although they'd been all living seperate lives.

Its a harsh reality that the death of a very much loved member of the family can have some detrimental affect on everyone.

And what a web did William weave, WOW I loved the thrilling nature, the tears and laughter that his antis brought to the story.

There never was a time when I did not think that Paige & Lucas were going to make it. They were very well suited. I loved their version of taking it slow.... teehee

Another great page turning, gripping story by Kelly Eliott, and I can't wait to read the next installment inthe Southern Brides series.

The blurb to Divided Interests instantly caught my attention. The idea of the hero and heroine attempting to share a home when they haven’t seen each other for over a decade, have differing thoughts on what to do with the house, as well as have unfinished business from over a decade ago all factor in to the angst and the heighten emotions that seem to stifle the scenes when Paige Miller and Lucas Foster are in the same room as well as offer quite a bit of comic relief given the way these two banter and push each other’s buttons.

Lucas is a hero who will grow on readers; he won’t be everyone’s favorite because of his actions in the past and his inability, early on, to admit that he was the one in the wrong and that his choices didn’t only affect him, but those closest to him, one of them being Paige. By the time readers get to the final pages of the story, they will see just how much Lucas has changed and just how much he wants his world to include Paige each and every day.

I adored Paige from the start. There’s a resilience inside of her that keeps pushing her forward regardless of the obstacles. She won’t be bullied by Lucas and even though being around him brings up heart aching memories, she refuses to give in to what Lucas wants when it comes to the house they both have a stake in and to watch the push and pull between these two from their very first exchange proves quite well that they shouldn’t allow this second chance to pass them by, not without fighting for what they’ve always wanted, even while apart, each other.

Like always, Elliott ensures that the secondary characters play a pivotal role in the story line and in the hero and heroine’s words and actions. Their family and friends add such a great dynamic to the book and provide Lucas and Paige with the support as well as the tough love, for lack of a better term, that they use to get these two stubborn people to realize that they’re so much better working as a team than working against one another.

Lucas and Paige’s story is the perfect combination of Kelly Elliott’s emotional and captivating storytelling and all of the qualities of a second chance romance that I love. And the fact that fate intervened and gave Paige and Lucas the push that they both needed illustrates that a house divided doesn’t have to remain that way, especially when it’s clear that they were destined to find their way back to Johnson City, Texas, and each other.

Small town in Texas, two people that have known each other since kids, and a few stupid mistakes. Can they make it back together and fall back in love??? Kelly has done it again with her small town romances. I enjoyed reading about Paige and Lucas. I didn't really care for Lucas in the beginning but he redeemed himself. I loved how Paige told Lucas how it is, she didn't back down. Interesting little bit of twist in the middle of the book that I didn't see coming. Another 5 star read!

4.5-stars

Divided Interests by Kelly Elliott is the third book in her standalone series Southern Bride and is a second chance romance. Paige Miller and Lucas Foster somehow find themselves owning a house together with very different plans. They share history and not all of it good. Can they find their way back to each other before it’s all too late?

Paige and Lucas had a lot to overcome. Both are stubborn and determined. Paige was thoughtful and smart. Lucas has many regrets, mainly what happened with Paige. Now they are forced to be together. As they spend time together, can they see what has always been there? Their story was emotional, angsty, and captivating.

~ 5 Coming Back Home Stars ~

Divided Interests is another great story by Kelly Elliott. It is a second chance romance with a hint of mystery built into the story. I loved that it kept me intrigued throughout the whole book. I couldn’t put it down.

Divided Interests is the third book in Kelly’s Southern Bride series. Each book can be read as a complete standalone novel. We have absolutely NO overlapping of story or characters in this series. Just like all the books in this series, this book was an emotional and angst filled story. I was nervous when I first started reading this book, because I wasn’t too fond of Lucas….he isn’t what I have come to expect from Kelly’s Heroes. Glad to say he changed as the story went on and he melted my heart by the end for sure!!!

This story is told in Dual POV. I loved the flow and pace of the story. It is a fairly quick read but it lacked for nothing. I thought the mysterious twist Kelly put into this book was fun and interesting. Something I haven’t read about before.

In this story we get Lucas and Paige’s story. They have been friends from the beginning and then transitioned into something more in high school. But when it was time to go to college, they had different things in mind, forcing them to separate. Now 11 years later Paige is back home and has just found out she is half owner of Lucas’s granddad’s house. A house she has loved all along. She also just found out that Lucas is the other owner of said property. To say that neither of them is happy about this is an understatement. With both determined to get the house for themselves, they are sent on a hunt to find out the reason behind Lucas’s granddad leaving the house to both of them. Can these two get over the past and see a future together? Will they get the HEA they had planned all those years ago?? Read this book to find out.

If you are a second chance romance fan, then this is the book to read. It’s one of my favorite in this genre. It’s also a great starting place to read a book by Kelly Elliott if you aren’t already a fan. I am definitely enjoying this series and can’t wait for the next book to come out!!!

I would like to start by saying a massive thank you to Kelly for my ARC of this book, as without it this review would not be possible! I had an absolute blast reading this book, and am so thankful to Kelly for this copy.

-------------------------

‘Divided Interests’ is the third (standalone) instalment in the Southern Bride series, following the first book, ‘Love at First Sight’, and the second, ‘Delicate Promises’. While Divided Interests is a standalone, I highly recommend that you also take the time to read the other books in the series. Especially if you’re new to this genre of southern romance, ‘Love at First Sight’ is THE perfect introduction which will lead you nicely into the other books, such as Divided Interests.

This book—like the others in the series—follows a core theme which is both evident from the title of the book and the blurb, a trait Kelly possesses in abundance, as some books often do not relate to their titles in any way. Kelly’s books do and that is one of the main reasons I always gravitate to her work. You get what you see on the cover, within the written story inside.

A lot can be learned about the book from the blurb alone, which doesn’t give too much away (which would spoil it for potential readers), while at the same time giving you enough to want to read more and discover the story in its entirety. Something I find Kelly does once more, that draws new people in and keeps hardcore fans—such as myself—coming back for more. Some blurbs fail to entice me with a lacklustre first-glance at the story within, though I am proud to say that I am thoroughly tempted and hooked with every single Kelly Elliott blurb. Divided Interests included.

Alright, down to the nitty-gritty. As close as one can get without spoiling anything.

There were several things that attracted me to this book while I was reading it, as often you can tune out while reading a chapter if it’s not gripping enough to turn the next page. The first as outlined in the blurb, was the ‘two owners, one house’ part. You can tell from reading that line alone you’re going to be in for a good time as you read and I can proudly say, that is the case with Lucas and Paige.

The second, the inability to put a bookmark at the end of the chapter. Kelly—as I’ve said in several of my reviews and is one of her best traits—has this amazingly unique ability to hook you in even at the very last word of the chapter, tempting you in to read “just one more chapter” and before you know it, you’ve read several chapters and half the night has passed right on by! If there’s one thing in this world I love, it’s an all-night Kelly Elliott binge-read session! If you’re looking for a companion for the night, Divided Interests is definitely your go-to book of choice.

Third and by no means finally, as there are TONS of other points I could cover. Emotion. Emotive connectivity. This is another point I have listed in several other reviews I’ve done for one of Kelly’s books. If you’re like me and have been a fan of Kelly for a number of years now, you would have picked up on the deeply emotional, empathetic connectivity with one or more characters, themes, story/plot points at some stage within one of her books. That is something I like to experience when reading a book, connecting. Usually its with a character and their backstory/experiences, though throughout this book in particular, I did reach for a tissue a time or two (don’t worry, it’s all good y’all!), laugh out loud and even just between you and me, blushed with tempting desire to be in Paige’s shoes.

Divided Promises much like it’s predecessor, Delicate Promises, is another gripping, page turning, charming southern romance you’ll find hard to put down no matter what format you’re reading it in. eBook or paperback, there’s no need for a bookmark with this read as you’ll be starting and finishing it in one tantalising Kelly-Elliott binge-session, a tradition for me at this point which I do not intend to ditch. Though if you do intend to take your time, which isn’t a bad thing, ladies grab yourselves a fan because those flames will be-a-burnin’, and ardour’s cooled. You can thank a certain cowboy for that.

On top of everything that I have listed so far in this review, there are several other elements to this book which are both gripping, captivating, alluring, tempting, teasing and charming, the latter a staple for this already promising series full of standalones. But you’ll have to read the book to get the full Kelly-Elliott effect, and impact of this story. As we will all find parts which resonate with us at different stages, as I found out myself. This is definitely a book well worth waiting for, if you have been waiting since the release of the first or second book in the series, and most definitely deserves a reserved spot in your kindle library or on your shelf. I myself am definitely going to be purchasing a paperback copy in the near future.

I highly and personally recommend this book to anyone and absolutely everyone who wants to have a good time with two people, or situations and circumstances you won’t forget any time soon. A friends/former friends-to-lovers story is always a winner and will never, ever grow old or mundane to read. And I’m proud to call Kelly my favourite author for reasons and reads just like this one.

You won’t have any divided interests in deciding on if you should read this book or not, because the answer is a firm and fast ‘heck yeah’. Five more brilliant stars for an even brighter star herself, Kelly Elliott.

Once again, Kelly Elliott had me hooked on a story right from the start and I didn't put this down until I finished, and I loved it! Not gonna lie, I wasn't exactly a fan of Lucas at the start, simply because of how much a d-bag he acted towards Paige. One thing I adore about Kelly Elliott's books is that whatever issue threatens the couple's chance at a HEA isn't stretched out over the course of the book with only 1 chapter dedicated to resolving said issue and riding off into the sunset.

Once intentions were made clear, Paige wasted no time setting the record straight with Lucas and letting him know how much he hurt her with his actions when they were younger, and how much more his current relationship twisted the knife of hurt that much further. Thankfully Lucas acknowledged his role in the dissolution of their first relationship, of course after he finally finished acting like he was the one who was devastated after their first breakup.

I thought the whole "split the house in half" inheritance was unusual, but things really took a turn when the chest that Lucas was supposed to look for was located and the contents uncovered; talk about a twist I wasn't expecting! That whole portion of the story kept me glued to my e-reader as I digested what I was reading; it sounded so far-fetched, but a similar scenario happened to some of my family waaaaay back in the day lol.

I get the whole "never stopped loving each other" feelings both Lucas and Paige had, but I did think that Paige forgave him just a bit too quickly (although if you've read the book, you know how they move slow lmao). Towards the end of the book was a situation involving Lucas and his ex, but what made me mad was Paige's friend and what she did; I get having your friend's back, but to act like that during the meeting, yet make it seem like you realized Lucas wanted no part of the role he was asked on the spot to play didn't sit well with me. I think the friend should have apologized to Lucas personally.

A cute way to end the book and the epilogue was especially sweet, with yet one more shock regarding the grandparents that left me with a big, cheesy smile.

This reader is a big ole' sap for a second chance romance and no one does romance better than author Kelly Elliott!!!

Divided Interests is the third book in the authors Southern Bride series and be still my heart it was amazing. (as are ALL the books in this series...HINT-go check them out) This book gives all the feels....love, laughter and a bit of mystery for a definite page turner.

We have the story of Paige and Lucas. To say those two have a long history is an understatement. After years apart and unsettled ill-will towards one another they find themselves reunited in a little twist that leaves both residing under one roof. This little 'twist' leaves them an equal owners of a home they both love and share memories. Lucas and Paige will not bend to the others wants and ideas of what should be done with the home. On top of the new living arrangements there is quite the mystery that pulls you further into their story. Toss in a whole lot of stubbornness, an unsettled past, hilarious banter, angst, mystery and a lot of romance and you have yourself one amazing book.

I loved Paige from the beginning. She was such a strong character. Her strong will and independence were quite refreshing. She would not buckle with her ideas and love for the gift she was given. Lucas was as stubborn as they come. It took awhile for him to redeem himself in this readers eyes but as always the author does not fail to give readers a beautiful story. These two had so much that remained unsettle for many years the road to resolve was not an easy one. We saw first hand how communication is the key to any and all relationships and what the lack thereof can do to a couple. When you add the mystery aspect to this story is was even more intriguing. This author can add such twists into books, give us angst, laughter and tears and with each line it flows like a beautifully written song.

If you love a second chance romance, this book is the one you need. You just cannot go wrong with author Kelly Elliott. Her writing style, the beauty of her stories and characters are just flawless.

I absolutely LOVED Divided Interests, the third book the Southern Bride series, by Kelly Elliott! I could not put it down. Kelly Elliott has once again proven that she is an incredible story teller. I love that she writes her stories in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting inside their minds and knowing their thoughts and how they really feel. Divided Interests is filled with promises broken and renewed and secrets shared and discovered. I love the lighter moments where I found myself laughing. My favorite moments are the ones that cause me to sigh, say aww to myself with tears filling my eyes. Divided Interests is filled with such moments. Divided Interests is about high school sweethearts, Paige Miller and Lucas Foster. Lucas broke up with Paige their senior year of high school, when Paige's dreams for her future did not align with Lucas's dreams for their future. Paige and Lucas both return to Johnston City following the death and funeral of Lucas's grandfather, William. In his will, William bequeathed half of his house to Paige and the other half to Lucas. Tempers flare when the first see each other for the first time in over ten years. Lucas offers to purchase Paige's half of the house, but she is not willing to sell it. She has always love William's house, where she and Lucas had shared the dream of marrying and raising their children. As Paige and Lucas begin to renovate the house, they both realize that they each still had feelings for the other and decided to take it slow. Once again Kelly Elliott writes about strong, beautiful women and hot, sexy men, I love all her characters. Who doesn't love reading about lovers that are given a second chance at love. Divided Interests is filled with bittersweet and poignant moments and the surprise plot twists. Divided Interests is a wonderfully written story and I loved every moment. Highly recommend this beautiful. I truly loved the epilogue and how the story ended. Divided Interests is my favorite story in the series!

Divided Interests is the third book in Kelly Elliott's Southern Bride series. It's a small town, light enemies-to-lovers, second chance romance with all the feels. Elliott added just a bit of mystery with a little bit of a treasure hunt that made the plot extra intriguing.

Lucas and Paige have a history together. After living separate lives for the past 10 years, they are thrown back together in a surprise turn of events. In a battle of wills, neither of them willing to give in, they soon find themselves living together in the house that was left to them both. Soon the house starts revealing secrets of it's past, forcing Lucas and Paige to face their past head on.

I'll start by saying I LOVED the banter between Lucas and Paige. It was flirty and fun, and even when they were arguing it was never truly mean. Their passion was intense and despite all they'd been through, they never denied their love for one another, at least to themselves. There was a lot of hurt and miscommunication in the past that they needed to get over before they could truly move forward, but once they did, the chemistry was palpable through the pages.

I loved Paige and how feisty, caring, trusting, and smart she was. She didn't let Lucas intimidate her and she held her ground with the house. I liked Lucas from the start, he just had to work a little harder than Paige did for me to completely fall for him. He often said the wrong things, despite his good intentions. It was a beautiful thing watching him fall.

If second chance romances with all the feels are your thing, this is one you don't want to miss.

4.5 stars

Second chance romances are a weakness of mine. When I saw the blurb for Divided Interests I was immediately sucked in. This book made me shake my head and laugh out loud more than once. It had a touch of mystery that I didn't see coming, but truly enjoyed. Overall this book made me smile and I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed meeting Paige and Lucas. These two were stubborn and it was fun to watch them break down each other's walls again and fall back into love with each other. They didn't have a smooth path, which I think actually helped me believe in their story even more. You can feel the chemistry right away but these characters both had some growing to do before they could be together again and I think the Author handled that well. Their banter was fun and did make me laugh out loud. Their sexy times were definitely sexy as well.

I enjoyed falling into this little world. I thought the supporting characters were fun and enhanced the story instead of overwhelming it. The mystery element kept me engaged as well, but again, it didn't take away from the romance that was brewing. I thought the pacing of the story worked well; it wouldn't have been as believable to me if things moved more quickly.

I fell into this story and it kept me interested and intrigued throughout. There were times I wanted to shake the characters (both of them!) but honestly? It just made them seem all the more real to me. I laughed and smiled with this story. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

Divided Interests by Kelly Elliott
“Second chances, 5 stars”

I love a good second chance romance and Divided Interests is definitely that. Lucas and Paige have a lot of old hurts between them. When Lucas’ grandfather dies and leaves his house to the both of them, they must come together and make some decisions. Will they be at odds or will they find common ground? Elliott killed it with Divided Interests and I was sucked in from the get go. My heart hurt for both of them and at the same time Elliott tossed in some twists and turns I never saw coming. If you one-click Divided Interests I think you will love it.
Paige was in love with Lucas for years. If she’s being honest, she still loves him. But when she asked him to let her follow her dreams he walked away. For years she’s watched him do what she wanted with someone else. That kind of hurt doesn’t go away. When they are forced to be around each other again everything comes to a head. The question is, when the dust settles will they be able to start fresh?
Paige was Lucas’ biggest regret. He wishes he never demanded her to choose, he wishes he didn’t walk away. But the past is in the past and sometimes you cannot correct your wrongs. So, he stayed away. But when his grandfather starts pulling strings from the other side, he cannot help but go after what he wants, Paige.
I loved this love story. I loved the mystery surrounding Lucas’ grandfather. I loved this one and I hope you do too.

5 Coming Back Home Again Stars!!!

This is another winner from Kelly Elliott!! The minute I read the synopsis for this book I knew it was going to be everything fabulous about how Ms. Elliott tells a story and I devoured every single word!!!

Paige and Lucas broke each other’s hearts when they were younger and never had the intention of being back in their hometown again for anything let alone living there and having to share a house…but sometimes fate is taken out of our hands lands directly in the lap of someone that just knows that these two need to be brought back together again…no matter how devious the plan may be!!

I absolutely loved how they refused to give in to each other’s demands and were dead set on keeping their “half” of the house Lucas’s grandfather left them equal shares in! There were moments of pure anger between them but then the memories of what they used to be creeped back in and what couldn’t be denied any longer was their attraction that not only was still present but had grown stronger over the years and well, you know they finally gave into it!! And holy mackerel it was HAF!!

I adore how these two found their second chance as adults and with understanding of what happened years ago will never happen again. Their mutual love for the home they’re revitalizing and Paige’s dreams of bringing her love for flowers to life was joyous to watch. Finally getting the HEA they always thought would be theirs even if it was delayed a few years!!
