High School Queens by Zachary Ryan is the first book in the trilogy. The plot based on American high school drama and a life full of secrets. I am in love with the cover page. It's striking. This is my first read of this author, and I must say I am impressed.

The main characters are a bunch of high school students. Aman, Calvin, Danielle, Andrew, Delilah, and, Jasmine. They all come from a different section of society. They all have different dreams, but one thing is common which connects them a

Teenage is the time where the youngsters undergo a wave of change; actually a series of change which molds their personality and minds. They are concerned about their social standing, bodies, relationships, career, and sexual needs. They are prone to step into darkness due to the absence of self-esteem and proper guidance. They try hard at making their front porch look well while their backyard is a mess.

High School Queens (Book 1) is a fast-paced and riveting account of the typical American Hig

Title: The title of this book is interesting. It's eye-catch-able. After reading the title one can get a little idea about the story but still he or she will have doubt about the story. The title is meaningful.

Cover: The cover has been designed very uniquely. It can attract readers to read the book. The cover has been made with matching the title. It's good for the readers to understand. Readers could easily relate the cover with the title. In cover, there are three beauties who are throwing fly

High School Queens
is the first book in the High School Queens Trilogy and tells the story of Danielle and her friends.

High School Queens is the first book I’ve read by Zachary Ryan and I really liked it. This book is told in different perspectives so you really get to know what the characters are going through. And they’re going through a lot… This book talks about addiction, self-harm,

High School Queens is set in Johnson Prep High School. It follows the stories of a group of teenagers who all have their own secrets. The Marked Queen is an anonymous student who exposes people's secrets and the students are always afraid of being the next victim.

As expected from a high school setting, the plot is full of drama. There were rumors spreading. Some students were seeking attention while some were getting unwanted attention. Everything about this high school was overdra

The Review

What a fun, dramatic and engaging read. The writing style was incredibly unique, as readers jumped from character to character in each chapter, with a personal narration of the character’s growing problems from the mysterious figures hiding in the shadows, waiting to expose each person’s secrets.

From hiding their sexuality from the world and their families, to keeping their self-destructive tendencies to themselves and the lifestyles they find themselves forced to live in, each chara

Fans of Pretty Little Liars (Sara Shepard) and Crimson Cove Mysteries (Tara Brown) are going to LOVE High School Queens by Zachary Ryan. Ryan weaves the social anxiety of social cliques and the backstabbing nature of teenagers into this free for all at high school. I have never been happier to not be in HS.

The Marked Queen is out to even the playing field and expose all the dirty little secrets of Johnson Prep's "upper crust." Not even the Queen of the school is safe. Despite these characters ap

Characters that you get the feeling are more than just characters to the author. Reading this, the first book in a trilogy, one cannot help but think that he lives and breathes high school students Aman, Calvin, Danielle and co, feeling their pain as each struggles with their inner demons; trying to hide their secrets from The Marked Queen

A real labour of love into which he obviously poured his heart and soul, its evident that not only does he write for and about teenagers but he actually gets

I originally picked to read this book because honestly it had the same things I liked about Pretty Little Liars ( the original show). It just was the same type of vibe from that show and maybe a little of Scream Queens. So I was very intrigued with this.
I mean the snobby mean popular people getting a taste of their own medicine. What's not to like right?

Well I honestly can say this person who was stalking them and knowing everything they did away from school was like wow. I kept guessing it was

So, I have never read a book that was this dramatic before. BUT, I absolutely loved it. I was skeptical when I started it but quickly fell into the dramatic high school atmosphere of what the popular kids must feel like. They were so savage to each other with insults and backstabbing, it was very intense.

I have never seen Gossip Girl but based on what I have heard about the show, I feel like this book is very similar and may have drawn some inspiration from it.

All of the characters were very eas

The Marked Queen has set her sights on Johnson Prep's most popular students, and she won't rest until they've all been knocked off their pedestals. I liked how it was told from multiple perspectives and had a omnipresent narrator, though sometimes their snarkiness got to be a little much. Our main characters are: Danielle, the most popular girl in school, Delilah, her best friend, Jasmine, Danielle's rival for most popular, Calvin, baseball star, Aman, wannabe YouTube sensation, and Andrew, the ...more

If Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl had a child it would be High School Queens! This was filled with so much teenage angst it gave me whiplash.  The Marked Queen is ready to out everyone's secrets before graduation, and no one it would appear is going to be safe from her mark.

The rich and elitist teenagers of Johnson High don't know who the Marked Queen is - and neither do we for that matter, the dialogue 'she' has throughout the book is mixed in with the telling of the story, at first it con

This book was written very well and it makes you want to keep on reading no matter what. The drama in this book is so good but not over the top, its exactly what you want when reading a book about high school drama. Overall I loved this book and cant wait to start the next one!

I was given a physical copy of this book for an honest review and I have to say, this was a good book! When I first started this book, I didn’t really know if I would like this book because it’s about high school drama and I’m not usually into those kinds of books but this caught my attention as soon as things got into motion. I was really confused when I first started reading this book because the character’s point of views changed so quickly but after a few chapters, I was able to get into the ...more

This is the 1st book I've read written by Zachary Ryan; he has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of his books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the characters.

I received a free copy of this book via boosprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

Zachary Ryan grew up in a black-and-white box in Maryland, before moving to Chicago to start a new life. There, he found that he was accepted for his misfit status—and learned that it’s perfectly normal to spend your twenties feeling lost and confused.

After a disastrous sexual encounter, Ryan stumbled on a group of true friends, or “soul cluster,” that he connected with. Through his writing, he ho
