With Daughters of Nri, Reni K Amayo conjures a magical world that truly centres black sisterhood. Combining lush prose with a fast-paced plot, this is one read that everyone - but especially black teens - will struggle to put down.

All I can say is WOW! I'm so happy that I got to read an advanced copy of this book, it was so beautifully written and the plot kept me up all night. It's one of those books that leaves you missing the world after you've finished it. I really didn't want it to end - but sadly it did - I can't say it enough - this book is set up to be an amazing series!

Pick it up if you love magic, strong female characters and amazing storytelling :)

Get this book. That’s the beginning and end of my review!

Okay, I’ll rave a little more lol. I was lucky enough to win this book at an event and the cover was the first thing that blew me away. Then I actually started reading it and the writing was amazing, I can’t explain it, but you just end up living in the book! Naala and Sinai have such full personalities - to be honest all of them do (I ended up shedding a tear half way through for reasons I can’t get into because I don’t want to give too m
